A New Map & A Brand New Event Pass: Sanhok on PUBG

Following a focus group testing period for developmental purposes, the brand new map on PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (also known as PUBG) is now available to all PC users of the game for free. In tandem with this, Event Pass: Sanhok Item and Reward Bundle has been released to allow players to earn rewards and keepsakes by playing the game and taking on the daily and weekly challenges that the gameplay entails. The Event Pass: Sanhok is available for just a month, starting at the 22nd of June and lasting all the way up until the 21st of July, so upgrade to this free new map right now to get a chance to avail this PUBG fan’s dream opportunity.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an online Battle Royale game much like its rival hype-surrounded craze: Fortnite. The game follows up till 100 active in game players who are deployed between three maps: Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok. The players come parachuting down and land at various locations. Each player must navigate the land, collect weapons, tools, and even clothes (yes, you parachute in just your underwear), and survive in an all against all battle ground, outsmarting all other players and doing whatever it takes to survive longest. The game was first released on Microsoft Windows for PC gamers last year. It was subsequently adapted and made available on the XBox One by Microsoft Studios. Earlier this year, the game was adapted into two mobile versions for the iOS and the Andriod operating systems. The easy availability of the game has expedited its rise to fame, receiving several Game of the Year nominations among a plethora of other awards.

The Sanhok map is a small scale map running 4×4 km which is based upon the tropical region of Southeast Asia. The map incorporates many of the naturally occurring features of the Southeast Asian islands such as water bodies, coastal sands, hilly land forms, forests, and jungles. The map also contains a wide variety of play areas such as native buildings, local villages, abandoned settlements, and underground caves. The diversity of the map from one area to another makes it unbelievable fun to explore despite it’s small size on paper.

Along with the release of the new Sanhok map for PC gamers, another gracious gift from the publisher of the game, PUBG Corp, is a month long Event Pass. Synonymous to Fortnite’s Battle Pass, the Event Pass: Sanhok awards collectibles, gear, attires, and other rewards upon the completion of daily and weekly challenges throughout the game. In addition to the reward items, more items are available for purchase as well.

If you’re not already playing this game and would like to get in on what the whole hype is about, PlayerUnknown’s Battleground is available for purchase on steam for PC users and also available on the XBox One as well as on iOS and Android for users who would prefer to take it up on the smaller screen and on the go.
