AMD Ryzen 5 2500X and Ryzen 3 2300X Geekbench Scores have been spotted and they seem to be very impressive indeed keeping in mind that the AMD Ryzen 5 2500X is expected to be a sun $200 chip and the 2300X should be a sub $150 chip. You are getting a lot of performance for your money.
The AMD Ryzen 5 2500X comes with 4 core and 8 threads with a base clock of 3.6 GHz and can turbo to 4.0 GHz. The Ryzen 3 2300X has 4 core 4and threads with a base clock 3.5 GHz and can turbo to 4.0 GHz. Both processors have an X that means that they use Precision Boost and XFR.
Both these chips have not been announced yet but have been spotted in the wild. Having that said, it is possible that these chips will be announced alongside the B450 motherboards which we saw at Computex 2018 but have yet to be announced as well.
These chips are for the mainstream users and the B450 motherboards will also be for the mainstream user as they will offer basic features at a lower price point as compared to the X470 motherboards. Both these products will go well together.
Keeping in mind that motherboard manufacturers have already shown off B450 motherboards and we have started getting leaks for the AMD Ryzen 5 2500X and Ryzen 3 2300X, it is safe to assume that an official announcement for these products is not far off.
We have already got an idea of what we can expect to see from these chips in regards to performance but these could be older numbers and the finals performance of the chips could be better. This is something that we will have to see when the chips hit the market.
It will be interesting to see how well these processors compete with previous generation AMD Ryzen chips as well as the mainstream Intel CPUs that are on the market right now. AMD has been introducing plenty of new chips in the market and we got a couple of announcements at Computex 2018 as well but it seems that the company is not stopping there and has additional plans that have not been announced.
