ASRock’s trying to make a name for themselves in the GPU market, and what better way to do that than to release a cinematic universe schedule for when their next cards are coming out?
Earlier in the month, Asrock showed off two new Phantom Gaming X cards, the Radeon RX Vega 64 8G and the Radeon RX Vega 56 8G. But now at an event in Taipei hosted by Hong Kong’s XFastest ASRock has revealed that this is merely the start of the road ahead, showing a plan going through February of 2019. In August ASRock is expected to release two new cards (and one variant) of the MK2 variety. The cards will be the Phantom Gaming X Radeon RX 580 8G and the RX 570 8G with a 4G model as well. While ASRock hasn’t given out much information regarding what’s going to be new in the MK2 cards, we do know that they’ll be replacing one of the DisplayPort 1.4 outputs with an additional HDMI 2.0 port. There have also been some rumors that ASRock is fooling around with providing cards with custom cooling solutions, so we might see that soon.
Alongside those two new cards, ASRock will continue to provide their existing lineup of Phantom X cards, at least until the end of next year’s February. As for what happens after that, who knows? Could we maybe see the 600 line of cards?
