Fortune and Gloria: Upcoming Co-op demo now out

We have entered an age where big developers are working on smaller projects while small developers are working on bigger ones. Many independent developers are rising with their titles to the world and some of them are actually pretty good and addictive in some case. A similar case is that of the Bad Logic Studio production, Fortune and Gloria. The trailer for the game which was announced earlier can be seen below

Announced with a new trailer on 9th July, the independent developer from UK brings to the world the first taste of his upcoming title, Fortune and Gloria. The game’s demo was released ahead of the full release of the game for potential buyers to experience it first hand.

The game is very reminiscent of the Metal Slug series, allowing players to have an arcade style Co-op action platformer at their hands. The players can either choose to dominate the 2D, sidescrolling world by themselves or they may invite a friend to help them defeat the enemy. The objective is to complete the missions in the game with the help of grenades and of course their trusty (in-game) rifles. The game follows the adventures of Nate ‘Fortune’ Cobb and Gloria Guerrero as they fight their way to fight the enemy and save hostages while getting to destroy things with an arsenal of their weapons.

The demo’s officially launched features are as follows:

“In the demo, you can play unlimited procedurally generated missions, but with fewer variants than the full game offers and with a few other differences, namely:

  • Singleplayer only instead of Singleplayer and Local CoOp
  • 1 environment, instead of 5 environments
  • 1 enemy unit from 1 group, instead of 25 in 5 groups”
