Perhaps the retro feeling of gaming with the top down view is really a ball when you get to experience it nowadays. It is hard to believe why more game developers don’t go for it, making it perfect for passing the time or just a casual gaming session. Remembering games like the original GTA really put things in perspective. For the people who actually yearn for these games, developer Spawn Point OSK brings in Gerty, a top-down rogue-lite twin-stick shooter game.
All set for an availability later during the year, the game was announced about two years ago and has made fans wait for it at the edge of their seats. The game can be played now though via the demo release program by the developer on STEAM. “We wanted to release the demo to a wider audience prior to release, because we have always taken the fans’ feedback very seriously in our development, and wish to do so also in the future”, said the project’s lead designer Risto Ihalainen.
