GTA VI Rumor Confirmed To Be Fake By Rockstar

"A Hoax Made With The Use Of Mods"

Recently we heard rumors regarding GTA VI coming out in 2019. Some players reported that they saw an in-game notification of the game and while some people took it to heart, it seems that it was an epic troll. Rockstar has confirmed that the notification was a fake and that the company was not responsible for it. The following is what Rockstar official twitter account had to say regarding the matter:

This is a hoax made with the use of mods, and not an official message or statement from Rockstar Games. *OV

This does not mean that GTA VI is not in development but what we know for sure is that the company is pretty busy with Red Dead Redemption 2. If GTA VI was in development Rockstar would not let things slip so easily as the company is very secretive regarding such matters and we learn of things only when the developer wants us to.

While the GTA VI rumor did create a lot of hype, I am sure that fans will be disappointed with this troll. I myself was very excited when saw the screenshots and I thought that I should deliver you this news even though it is an unfortunate bit of information.

Rockstar has made a name for itself and the company has a certain way of doing things and I have to say that the in-game notification did seem very fishy and I did think that Rockstar was trolling the fans. It seemed unlikely that GTA VI would be coming out next year when the team is working on another title.

If I was to take a guess regarding when GTA VI would be coming out I would say that the game will be coming out for next-generation consoles so you can expect to see GTA VI in 2020. I say 2020 because the PS5 is expected to come out in 2020 and we have also heard that the next generation Xbox is also being architectured as we speak. So fingers crossed.
