EM2 assault rifle, by far, is the best of all Assault rifles in Cold War. This weapon is easy to control and is consistent regardless of shooting enemies down at close, medium, and long range. The vertical and horizontal recoil of this weapon is already miles ahead of most assault rifles in the game. However, if you slot in the weapon attachments we suggested here, EM2 will perform much better than its stock version counterpart.

KRIG 6

KRIG 6 is another of the best ARs in Cold War that is famous for good handling and control. This weapon comes very close to how the EM2 performs in the field and, at times, can give better results. However, prioritising KRIG 6 over EM2 depends entirely on your playstyle.

I think KRIG 6 is a good enough AR, but still, something is missing about it that ranks it less than EM2. Still, this assault rifle in Cold War packs a good punch with the weapon attachments we suggested below and will prove lethal, especially in close to medium-range combats.

XM4

XM4 is also one of the best Season 6 Cold War assault rifles in Cold War. It has decent power and can eliminate the targets in a couple of rounds. However, it is less consistent in terms of recoil and stability. At times the weapon will have virtually no recoil for one kill, and after that, the control of this assault rifle becomes a mishmash of vertical and horizontal instability.

Despite these minor problems, XM4 is still a hard-hitting assault rifle in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. This is not so much liked by the community, but honestly, my pick for the Best AR In Cold War, and here’s why.

With XM4, I recommend the following options:

AK-47 Assault Rifle

The prodigal assault rifle from the previous Black Ops games also returns in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. AK-47 has always featured a good amount of damage while taking out the targets in multiplayer or zombie mode. However, this assault rifle is still a beast of a weapon and easily one of the best ARs in the Cold War for zombies.

The only problem with this weapon is its horizontal and vertical recoil. On stock, the overall stability, recoil, and control of the weapon are not decent. However, AK-47 loadout improves significantly in terms of performance when you equip it with the right attachments.

This is why I have tried and tested various attachments in the field and came up with the perfect combination that is ideal for close and medium ranges only.

Regardless of how FFAR 1 works in the field, this AR is still one of the best season 6 Cold War assault rifles in the game.
