Best Grenade Spots in Mirage

2. Next, look at the front wall and move your crosshair towards the top of the pink building.
3. Aim your crosshair on the top-right corner of the right antenna.

4. Perform the smoke throw while standing in place.

Alternatively, you can also smoke grenade this angle from the other side of T Spawn in Mirage.

1. Position yourself in the corner to the right of the wooden door on the back wall of T Spawn.

2. Look towards the top of the white building located just to the left of the pink building.

Sniper’s Nest from Top Mid

This grenade throw can be performed from the Mid Boxes located at Top Mid on Mirage.

1. Stand against the back wall of Top Mid and line yourself up with the center edge of the wheelbarrow.

2. Look towards the center edge of the wheelbarrow, and look up until you see the antenna directly above.
3. Aim your crosshair at the antenna just below the top-most antenna in the center.

4. Perform a running throw, taking a few steps forward before releasing your smoke grenade.

Connector from Underpass

Executing this smoke grenade spot on Mirage will perfectly cover the entrance to Connector. This can subsequently help you take control of connector when executing a Mid push. Additionally, it can also let your team cross from Catwalk towards B Short without having to worry about anyone looking on from A Site.

You can perform a smoke grenade throw for this angle from Underpass.

1. Stand on the stairs of Underpass below the Sniper’s Nest, and position yourself so that you can see half of the entrance archway of the Connector.
2. Line up your crosshair with tip of the red arrow on the wall.
3. Move your crosshair slightly to the left so that it aims at the Connector wall as shown.

4. Perform a running throw, taking a few steps forward before releasing your grenade.

A Stairs from T Roof

This grenade spot is one of the more classic smokes on Mirage. It smokes off the Stairs on A Site, which prevents any CT from using that important location for holding A Ramp or Palace. Therefore, this is a vital smoke grenade throw for whenever your team is trying to take control of A Site.

You can throw this smoke grenade from the small ledge located next to the fence near T Spawn on Mirage.

1. Jump onto the ledge to the right of the fence near T Spawn.

2. Look to the left of the tall white tower located on the right of A Ramp.
3. Aim your crosshair between the left edge of the T Roof wall and the wooden support bar, as shown.

4. Throw the smoke grenade while standing in place.

A Site CT Spawn from T Spawn

This smoke grenade spot is another useful tool when pushing the A Site. This allows you cover off the CT Spawn entrance to A Site next to the Ticket Booth and Trash. This is another common spot from where CTs will hold angles onto A Ramp and Palace, which is why blocking it off lets you push in with less difficulty.

You can throw this smoke grenade from the fence near T Spawn.

1. Get onto the ledge to the right of the pathway leading to palace. Once here, walk right up to the brown fence/railing.

2. Look towards the corner of the front wall of T Spawn, where you will see some flowers/plant hanging out.
3. Aim your crosshair to the lower corner of the top-left side of the wall, as shown.

4. Perform a jump throw, letting your smoke as soon as you press the jump button.

Jungle from T Roof

The last smoke grenade angle you should know when pushing A Site on Mirage is the Jungle smoke. This smoke blocks the line of sight of any CTs stationed at Jungle or outside Connector towards the Palace. With this smoke down, exiting from Palace onto A Site is much easier.

You can execute this smoke grenade throw from the T Roof located behind A Ramp.

1. Get on top of the T Roof, and stand between the two windows on the right.

2. Look ahead towards the A Ramp wall, and look for the small ridge above the lamp.
3. Line up your crosshair near the top of the ridge, and move your aim slightly to the left, as shown.

B Short from Back Alley

As we move on to some B Site smoke grenade spots on Mirage, we have our first throw which covers the Short angle leading to B. This will assist your team when pushing B Site, since any CTs holding the site from Short will lose vision. This is bound to make your B push one step easier.

1. When in the Back Alley, look towards the House entrance and go stand in the left corner.

2. Look above B Site towards the tall brown tower.
3. Aim your crosshair exactly on the top-left corner of the tower.

Market Window from Back Alley

This smoke grenade angle enables you to cut off any lines of sight from the Market Window onto B Site. Market is a common holding spot for CTs, giving them angles towards the Apartments, B Short and the B Site. You can throw this smoke grenade from the Back Alley on Mirage.

1. When in the Back Alley, look towards the House entrance and go stand in the left corner.

2. Look above B Site towards the tall brown tower.
3. Aim your crosshair ever-so-slightly to the right of the top-most corner of the tower.

4. Perform a jump throw, letting your smoke as soon as you press the jump button.

Bench from Back Alley

Smoking off the Bench on B Site with this grenade throw on Mirage covers another potential angle that CTs will be holding onto the Apartments. This can be especially useful when executing a rush, since you and your team will be able to cross onto B Site safely.

You can execute this smoke from the Back Alley outside Kitchen.

1. Go to the Back Alley, just outside the Kitchen door. Once here, look at the left wall to spot the letter ‘B’ painted on the wall. Stand against the wooden pillar to the left of this painted ‘B.’

2. Look above the Kitchen door.
3. Position your crosshair slightly above the left-most wooden support protruding from the wall, as shown.

4. Throw the smoke grenade while standing still.

B Arch # 1 from Back Alley

The Arches on B Site lead from B Short onto the Site itself, so covering these is a good idea for a safer push and an easier plant on the site. This smoke grenade spot on Mirage covers the first of these arches on B Site.

You can throw this smoke grenade from the Back Alley outside Kitchen on Mirage.

1. Go to the Back Alley, just outside the Kitchen door. Once here, look at the left wall to spot the letter ‘B’ painted on the wall. Just in front of the arrow next to ‘B’ will be a small red dot of paint. Stand right against it.

2. Look at the wall above the Kitchen door.
3. Aim your crosshair next to the worn-off paint to the right of the window, as shown.

4. Perform a jump throw, letting your smoke as soon as you press the jump button.

B Arch # 2 from Back Alley

This smoke grenade spot covers the other Arch on B site. With both these arches covered, you and your team will be completely covered from B Short, and can focus on other angles when pushing B Site such as Market and Bench. Of course, if you mastered our previous few smoke spots, those angles can be covered as well, allowing you to execute the perfect site push onto B.

You can perform this smoke grenade throw from the Back Alley outside Kitchen on Mirage.

1. In the Back Alley outside Kitchen, look to the right towards the window on the pink wall next to the door. Afterward, position yourself up against the right edge of this window.

2. Look straight up at the shelf above.
3. Aim your crosshair between the corner of the shelf and the small wire above it.

4. Lastly, throw the smoke grenade from a stationary position.

A Ramp from CT Spawn

Proceeding towards our CT-sided smoke grenade spots on Mirage, we will first look at some useful smokes for the A Site. The first of these is a perfect A Ramp smoke grenade throw that covers the entire entrance of A Ramp. Doing so will deter any push from that angle, leaving you free to keep watch on other spots.

1. At the CT Spawn entrance on A Site, look left towards a stack of white cylinders next to the Trash can.
2. Position yourself up against the right metal beam support of this cylinder stack.

3. Look towards A Ramp wall to see two small shapes protruding upwards.
4. Line up your crosshair with the top of the left shape, and move it slightly right, as shown.

5. Perform a stationary grenade throw.

Top Mid from CT Spawn

This smoke grenade throw lets you cover the Top Mid spot on Mirage. Doing so can give you an opportunity for an aggressive Mid push. Moreover, it covers Top Mid in such a way so that any Terrorists trying to push onto Top Mid will have to do so blindly through the smoke. Keep a watch on them from Sniper’s Nest or Connector, and they should be easy pickings.

This smoke grenade angle can be executed from the CT Spawn on Mirage.

1. Look towards the left wall of CT Spawn, and position yourself against the corner on the left, as shown.

2. Afterward, look near the top of the blue building towards your left. Look for the small white electrical box.
3. Aim your crosshair at the white dot located just below and to the right of the electrical box. Then, move your aim slightly to the left, as shown.

4. Perform a jump throw, letting your smoke as soon as you press the jump button.

Apartments from B Site

If you are holding B Site on Mirage, then you will want to know this smoke grenade spot which blocks off the push from Apartments. Once again, it gives you the upper hand against anyone willing to push in blindly through the smoke. Use it at the right moment, and you can deter a B Site push from Apartments.

You can throw this smoke grenade from the B Site on Mirage.

1. As you exit from the Market door, look towards the trash can on your left stand in the corner between it and the wall.

2. Look towards the green tarps on top of the corner of the site pillar.
3. Look for a small dot on the green tarps near the top, and position your crosshair slightly above and to the left of the dot, as shown.

4. Throw the smoke while standing still.

A Site from CT Spawn

This smoke grenade angle covers the main plant site of A on Mirage. This can be useful in the mid to late game, where you may need to retake site. Smoking off this angle will let you safely cross onto the A Site without worrying about the A Ramp and Palace angles. Once you are here, you can peak the A Ramp angle on your own terms.

You can perform this smoke from the CT Spawn entrance of A Site, next to Ticket Booth and Trash.

1. At the CT Spawn entrance to A Site, position your self on the edge of the shadow as shown.

2. Look towards the large brown door on A Site, and position your crosshair in its center to the left of the small protruding ledge, as shown.

3. Throw the smoke grenade from a stationary position.

Mid from Connector

Lastly, this smoke grenade throw spot on Mid can let you safely cross towards the Underpass to engage at any players or simply gather information. The smoke perfectly blocks off any angle from Top Mid. This means that you can check Underpass and return without anyone on Top Mid spotting you.

1. Firstly, stand in the middle of the Connector doorway towards A Site.

2. Look towards Mid, and aim your crosshair near the middle of the pillar on the Catwalk wall.

Our first flash grenade spot lets you chuck a flash towards A Site from near the T Spawn on Mirage. This will flash any CTs holding A Site, and is therefore useful for letting your teammates push onto site, be it from A Ramp or Palace.

1. As you approach A Ramp from T Spawn, look on your right to spot a door with a grid pattern on it.
2. Stand right against the center of the grid.

A Site from A Ramp

Our next flash grenade angle on Mirage is similar to the previous one in that it is useful for flashing anyone holding the A Site. Top Mid from Side Alley

Pushing Mid from Side Alley can be a daunting task, considering how there is bound to be someone from Sniper’s Nest keeping their AWP trained on your entryway. Thankfully, this flash grenade spot on Mirage lets you or your teammates do so without worry. Anyone watching Top Mid from Sniper’s Nest, Catwalk or Underpass will either be flashed or forced to avert their eyes, giving you the upper hand in the engagement to follow.

You can execute this flash grenade throw from the Side Alley on Mirage.

1. In Side Alley when facing Top Mid, look right to spot a brown recessed door in the wall.
2. Stand against the wooden pillar to the right of this door.

Connector from Top Mid

Mid from A Site

Our first flash grenade throw for the CT side covers the Lower Mid angle on Mirage. This is useful when a teammate situated near Connector wants to push Mid, either for a quick peek or for a complete push. Pop this flash grenade, and any Terrorists on Top Mid will get flashed. At the very least, they will look away, letting your teammate swoop in and take them out.

You can cover this flash grenade spot from the A Site.

1. Find the stack of boxes on A Site nearest to the CT Spawn, and stand against the side of it facing CT Spawn.

2. Look above the Connector doorway, and line up your crosshair in the middle of the two square features on the left. Drag your aim down until you reach the top of the recessed frame of the archway, as shown.

3. Perform a running throw, taking one step forward before releasing your flash grenade.

Apartments from B Site

If you are hunkered in on the B Site on Mirage, this next flash grenade angle can help a teammate push or peek the Apartments while you keep watch. Apartments are a common push location for the Terrorists, so if you or your teammate hear any footsteps running in, pop this flash and peek to rain down hellfire upon the enemy.

You can perform this flash grenade throw from next to the Market Window on B Site.

1. Look towards the Market Window from B Site, and position yourself in the corner to its right, below the air conditioning unit.

2. Look towards the green tarps, and aim at the right-most rod supporting the tarps, as shown.

3. Throw the flash grenade while standing still.

A Ramp from Balcony

If you are positioned under Balcony and hear a push coming in from A Ramp, you can use this flash grenade spot to blind the enemy as they are running in. Additionally, you can peek A Ramp just as the flash goes off behind you. This will put you in the ideal position to shut down the push.

You can execute a flash grenade throw on this angle from under the Balcony on A Site on Mirage.

1. Stand slightly away from the ladder leading up to the Balcony, and look up towards the top of it.
2. Position your crosshair near the top of the ladder between its two vertical side poles.

Below A Balcony from Palace

This Molotov grenade spot for the Terrorist side on Mirage makes an A Site push from Palace easier. CTs will usually be holding near or underneath the Balcony in wait of anyone pushing from Palace. This Molotov, though, can flush out these players, making them easier to take out.

You can throw this Molotov grenade from the Palace door on Mirage.

1. In Palace, as you approach the A Site, look towards the wall with the red ‘A’ spray painted on it, and position yourself in the corner to the left of this wall.

2. Look towards the ladder on the Balcony, and aim slightly below the bottom-left corner of the ladder slot.

3. Throw the Molotov while standing in place.

You can also cover the same angle with a Molotov grenade when pushing from A Ramp on Mirage.

1. Stand outside the A entrance of the Ramp against the back wall, and look towards the wooden board with the ‘A’ painted on it, placing your crosshair in its center.

2. Perform a running throw, taking a few steps forward before releasing your Molotov.

A Ramp from A Site

If you are holding A Site, this incendiary grenade throw can stop any early pushes from A Ramp. This can delay any strategies being executed by the opposing team, and will also leave you free to worry about other angles.

You can execute a throw on this incendiary grenade angle from the CT Spawn entrance of A Site.

1. Stand in the CT Spawn entrance of A Site, and look above the Ramp archway.
2. Position your crosshair at the top-right corner of the red building.

Apartments from B Site

Just like the smoke spot discussed previously, this incendiary grenade angle on Mirage covers the inside of the Apartments. This is useful for deterring any aggressive plays from the Terrorist side towards B Site. A Ramp from Jungle

Holding Jungle means that you may not have a clear line of sight onto A Ramps to watch for any pushes. Therefore, using this incendiary grenade spot on can help you keep the A Ramps clear on Mirage. This can be used early in the round to ward off any rushes, or in the mid-game to cut off a possible rotation.

You can throw your incendiary grenade on this angle from Jungle on Mirage.

1. While in the entryway towards Jungle and looking towards A Site, stand next to the right wall.

A Plant from Connector
