How To Get Runescape Burial Armor – Best Methods

Burial Armor in Runescape is the easiest method to gain smithing exp. We have mentioned how to get this armor in Runescape easily.

Smithing in Runescape determines how powerful equipment the player can make. The higher the smithing level, the more valuable items the player can craft. With a higher smithing level, the player can make higher-level armor to equip themselves better. Increasing smithing is quite hard as it requires you to craft different items. One of the most efficient methods to increase Smithing in Runescape is making Burial Armor.

Key Takeaways
  • The Burial Armour is an ancient dwarf armor and is a great way of farming XP for smithing.
  • Crafted in the Artisan’s Workshop, Southeast corner of Falador.
  • Cost depends on ingot grade (Grade I to IV), increasing with higher grades.
  • Rune Burial Armour: Upgrade after reaching Burial Armour level +3.
  • Offers perks and higher XP rates.

Burial Armor Overview

Burial Armor is the ancient dwarf armor that is made at the Artisans’ Workshop in the southeast corner of Falador. According to the Dwarf Suak, the dwarfs bury their dead in this armor. Burial Armor made of Grade I ingots is for the miners, Grade II ingots for the warriors, and Grade III ingots for the smiths’ burial armor.

It is one of the best methods of gaining smithing experience in the game. That is because the process gives the highest smithing experience in the game. But the armor you make won’t have any worth. This is a process that is known to be expensive, without any reward but gives high experience.

How To Make Burial Armor

To make Burial Armor in RuneScape, follow these steps:

  1. Location: Head to the Artisans Workshop, located in the southeast corner of Falador. Look for a dwarf named Suak who stands on a stage near the anvils.
  2. Learn the Process: Speak to Suak and request him to teach you how to make burial armor. He will call another dwarf named Sten to demonstrate the process in a cut-scene. Pay close attention during the demonstration. If you miss any details, you can ask Suak to explain again.
  3. Select the Armor Piece: Suak will instruct you on which piece of burial armor to make. Follow his instructions carefully to receive bonus experience as a reward. Whenever Suak requests a different armor piece, select that specific piece at the anvil to continue your work.
  4. Required Materials: To craft RuneScape Burial Armor, you’ll need a hammer and an ingot made of iron, steel, mithril, adamant, or rune. The required Smithing level varies based on the type of ingot you’re using:
    • Iron: Smithing level 30
    • Steel: Smithing level 45
    • Mithril: Smithing level 60
    • Adamant: Smithing level 70
    • Rune: Smithing level 90
  5. Smithing Experience: While iron may seem cheaper, it yields slower progress. Working with higher-quality ingots like steel, mithril, adamant, or rune grants more Smithing experience. The more valuable the metal and the higher the grade, the more experience you’ll gain.
  6. Upgrade Process: Begin by crafting regular armor at the anvil near the burial anvils. Then, move to the artisans’ anvil to upgrade the armor to burial armor. Once the armor is complete, it will automatically move down through the chute next to the anvil.

Easiest Method To Make Burial Armor

If you want to go the easy way, then making burial armor using Iron Grade I is the go. It has less gold required per exp. But as we’ve mentioned before, the process is really slow. The cost of 1 Iron Ingot Grade I is 449 gold. And the experience you get with 1 Grade I Iron Ingot is 101. So you’ll be spending 4.45 gold per exp.

Miner’s Burial Armor Set is the easiest to make as it requires Grade I ingots.

F2P players prefer using this method as it has lower requirements. Iron is one of the most abundant metals in Runescape, and it is cheap too. To turn 1 Iron ore into Iron Ingot Grade I, you’ll only require one ore; it doesn’t need coal at all.

How Much Does Burial Armor Cost?

The cost of Burial Armor in Runescape varies based on materials and grades. Materials range from least valuable (Iron) to most valuable (Runite), while grades range from Grade I (cheapest) to Grade IV (purest).

To create Grade I ingots, you need one ore per ingot. Grade II and III require more ores. Using Iron (Grade I) is cheaper but slower, while valuable metals with higher grades offer faster experience but cost more.

Rune Burial Armor Set

The Rune Burial Armor Set offers the highest smithing experience for free-to-play players. It’s the highest-grade armor set crafted on an anvil. To create it, you first make the Rune Armor Set + 3, which is then shaped into the Rune Burial Armor Set at the Burial Anvil for dwarfs.

Here’s what you need:

  • 96 Rune Bars
  • Rune Full Helm + 3
  • Rune Platebody + 3
  • Rune Platelegs + 3
  • Rune Gauntlets + 3
  • Rune Armored Boots + 3

Creating the Rune Armor Set + 3 requires 96 Rune Bars and yields 28,800 progress and 23,040 experience.

Converting it into the Rune Burial Set at the Burial Anvil doesn’t require extra Rune Bars, but you get 12,096 experience in exchange, losing the armor set.

Conclusion

Although it seems that making Burial Armor in Runescape is worthless because the smithing cost of making Burial Armor of any sort is too high. However, the exp that you get from making the Armor Set is too big to ignore. It is one of the best methods to gain smithing exp while you’re AFK. Be sure to fill the smelter with iron ore and coal so that you don’t have to travel for it again and again.
