However, true stealth comes in the levels where you’re faced with giant humanoids. The game encourages you to sneak past them to avoid getting caught. Besides the plot, the game is truly known for its sniper gameplay. You get to scout areas and plan your path, mark enemies that you’re going to snipe, and just do overall tactical preparation. The game isn’t completely just focused on making you kill enemies.

But when you do focus on killing enemies and when you do have a target in sight, you can get ready with your sniper rifle and take a shot. And there are many mechanics to consider when using your sniper. From the distance and bullet drop to the wind affecting your shots, each of these factors can affect your accuracy.

And if you want to remain hidden, not only do you need to find a great hiding place, but you need to mask your bullet shot using sounds from the surrounding. The noise of a loud generator or a plane flying over you can be great to mask the loud sound of a sniper.

You get to explore the different areas while hunting for clues that get you close to finding your fiancée. But the world is filled with bandits, mercenaries, and even monsters known as Stalkers. The game doesn’t shy away from sci-fi elements and uses radiation as a plot point to introduce many aspects like wormholes, the monsters, and at times even affects your sanity by making you hallucinate.

The various stealth mechanics in the game are quite simple yet effective. You can sneak around, remain hidden in foliage, and perform attacks from behind. But due to the fact it is a survival game, stealth seems vital at times to save ammo and other resources. The scarcity of resources combined with the stealth mechanics makes for surprisingly good stealth gameplay!

Coming from a small studio, it really nails many aspects, and there’s not much to complain about. If you’re into sci-fi adventures and want to enjoy a good narrative, then Chernobylite is amongst the best sci-fi stealth games on the PS5.

Killing an enemy feels smooth and a lot faster than in previous games, allowing you to move around quickly while avoiding other patrolling enemies. The game introduced the crouch mechanic, which surprisingly didn’t exist before, but it adds a whole new dimension to how you can approach stealth.

The different tools at your disposal work well together, especially considering you now have the option to equip two at a time. You can create a lot of good combinations like phantom blades and smoke bombs or firearms and stun grenades. The combinations can be anything that you like to suit your playstyle or the situation that you’re in.

And shout out to the parkour in the game. The animations are really well-made, and the scale of the buildings is perfect for climbing and getting around. If you’re a fan of the traditional Assassin’s Creed, then Assassin’s Creed Unity deserves a play.

Messing with time can be quite tricky. What if you cause the end of the world, or even worse, what if you get stuck in a time loop? Well, in Deathloop, that’s exactly what happens to you.

You’re stuck in a time loop, and to escape it, you need to kill eight different visionaries spread around an island before midnight. Failing to kill all eight will result in you starting all the way from the start of the day and having to kill all of them again but with a different strategy.

That might sound confusing, but the time doesn’t actually move while you’re in one area. So, you can move around freely and explore. But when you travel from one district to another (out of the four different districts), the time moves from morning to noon (or afternoon to evening).

The game takes many elements from games like Hitman, Dishonored, and Prey. There is a good amount of gunplay, as well as the option to play stealthily while you parkour around. Although the AI can be a little slow at times, it doesn’t matter, as even when you’re done killing them; they’ll spawn back once the loop starts again.

Pros:

• The combat system is spectacular and entertaining in Deathloop.
• In terms of visuals, Deathloop is simply gorgeous.
• The multiplayer mode is a nice addition to Deathloop.
• The supernatural abilities are extremely fun to mess around with.

• Deathloop gets hugely repetitive during the final parts of the story.

Aragami 2

The original Aragami wasn’t known for its story as it was mostly told through text dialogues. But the gameplay was some of the best stealth gameplay out there. And it’s safe to say that Aragami 2 has expanded on those gameplay elements and become another great game.

Like the first game, you play as an assassin who is the master of shadows, allowing him to have access to different kinds of powers. Due to these powers, you can teleport from shadow to shadow, allowing you to sneak up on enemies quickly. Aragami 2 has new elements and now lets you teleport to edges as well if you’re close enough.

Hanging from a ledge can lead to some takedowns, and the ledge teleportation improves the overall traversal in the game. Furthermore, as you progress into the game, you’ll get better abilities and shadow skills, like being able to see your enemies’ paths, making stealth much easier. Or you can use lamps to burst into sleep inducive gas to take out multiple enemies.

One difference from the original game is that now you can slightly defend yourself if you get spotted. In the previous game, enemies could one-shot you. But now you have the option to engage in parry-like sword combat. However, the game still discourages straight-up fighting by making the parry timing odd and not giving you enough health.

If you loved the original game or want to play a game on the PS5 that is purely focused on stealth, then Aragami 2 is quite good. There is a compromise on the story, but the gameplay tends to make up for it!

However, stealth always feels like one of the most satisfying ways to clear a mission, and Far Cry 6 fully supports that. You play as a guerrilla fighter, Dani Rojas. You’re always backed by a gang of outlaws, and the interactions between them tend to be quite entertaining, with each character having a distinct personality. And their banter continues even out in the field.

The game offers great gameplay for stealth players. You have your typical hiding in the bush and avoiding cones to avoid detection. But each of the gang members provides unique skills that can help you out.

Furthermore, the environment will always remain one of your greatest weapons. Not only can you use it to remain hidden, but you can also leverage certain environmental features to your advantage. From tipping over giant crates to crushing enemies under a giant church bell, you can cause a lot of chaos using environmental hazards.

If you’re extremely good at stealth, you can sometimes get past levels without even taking out a single enemy. That way, you won’t have to worry about dead bodies alerting other enemies. If you love tactical games and cowboys, and strategy stealth games on the PS5 then Desperados III is a really good game in that genre.

Pros:

• The narrative is intriguing and fun in Desperados III as you don’t have to play the previous games in order to start this story.
• The map and level designs are phenomenal in Desperados III.
• The combat system is engaging in Desperados III and gives you the freedom to try out various methods in order to accomplish your objective.
• There are different approaches and strategies for completing a mission in Desperados III.
• You can quicksave your progress whenever you want in Desperados III which is truly beneficial if you want to try out different scenarios for executing strategies.

Cons:

• Sometimes there are just too many adversaries surrounding you that you have to abandon the stealth gameplay and switch to an aggressive playstyle in Desperados III.
• Some missions take hours to complete which is lackluster in Desperados III.
• Desperados III might not be for you if you prefer games with an action-packed pace and a speedier, more intense tempo.

Spiderman

Insomniac’s Spiderman was initially launched for the PS4 but got upgraded to the PS5 with a lot of graphical and performance improvements. It is an action-adventure game featuring an older Peter Parker doing pretty much typical spiderman stuff.

On the surface, Spiderman doesn’t seem like a stealth game at all. After all, you’re no Batman. You’re spiderman, and everyone mostly knows of your presence as you swing through the city performing acrobats and taking down bad guys. But the game actually has a lot of stealth sections and certain mechanics that make stealth really satisfying.

Because of your web shooters, you’re able to zip from one section to another in an instant, making traversal even more efficient than characters that have grappling hooks. That makes it easier for spidey to move out of sight, get behind enemies, and take them down.

The game has a basic line-of-sight detection system, but enemies are usually keeping eyes on other enemies as well, making it harder just to take them down. The game lets you know if it’s “safe” to perform a takedown or not. You can either use your webs to perform a perch takedown or zip toward them for a knockout.

Furthermore, you have access to a lot of spidey’s gadgets that make stealth even more fun. There are the basic web shooters that take multiple hits to knock over an enemy. But the more advanced gadgets like the Web Bomb or Electric Web can help take down multiple enemies at once.

You can also use the Trip Mine to leave traps around, and sometimes you even get to use a spider drone to infiltrate areas! Additionally, there are stealth challenges spread across the map for you to hone or simply show off your skills!

Pros:

• In Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, it is very satisfying to scope out and eliminate enemies from a distance.
• There are a number of strategies for completing different missions in Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2.
• A huge diversity of weapons in your arsenal is available that you can make use of in Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2.
• Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 mainly promotes the stealth element of the game which is beneficial for a lot of players.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is yet another tactical stealth shooter where you get to play as a skilled sniper in a tale of international espionage as you mess around with political agendas. The game introduces a new character into the series, Raven, who takes on contracts that take him to the Middle East.

Unlike other sniper games, such as Sniper Elite, missions aren’t completely open-world-styled. Such levels do exist, but you also have to take on “long shot” contracts that have you hide away at a vantage point several thousand meters away from the enemies. From there, you must snipe away all of your enemies and complete other tasks, all with the help of your sniper rifle.

The long-distance missions tend to be the most immersive in the game as it makes you feel like a true Hitman taking out enemies without them realizing it. And for those who love the nitty-gritty details of working a sniper rifle, you also get to adjust your aim for wind and bullet drop and also zeroing your scope!

Although you’ll have plenty of other gadgets at your disposal, even at close range, you won’t really need them, as a simple pistol and melee takedowns tend to do the trick. If you’re looking for just another stealth sniper game besides Sniper Elite, then Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 can work as a great alternative.

A Plague Tale: Innocence

With another Plague Tale on its way, it’s a good time to revisit A Plague Tale: Innocence, especially on the PS5 with the improved graphics and framerate.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a story-oriented game with a bunch of stealth mechanics. In fact, due to how weak you are in the game, stealth is usually your only option. You play as Amicia and her little brother Hugo in the 14^th century in France. Besides just the black plague, Britain is also at war with France, which means there were soldiers everywhere you go.

The main objective of the game is to escape from the soldiers of the French Inquisition while also figuring out the cause of Hugo’s sickness, which appears to be different from the plague. Hugo is with you throughout the game, similar to experiences like The Last of Us, where Ellie would always be by your side.

Amicia will have access to a sling that she can use to take care of her enemies. Whether it be pulling off a headshot or attracting hordes of rats toward them, she can use many creative ways to get out of tricky situations.

And these hordes of rats are also a vital part of the whole experience as you are in the black plague time period, after all. The game truly makes you feel useless around them and forces you to find clever ways to escape. That’s where a lot of the puzzles of the games come into play. From using fire to repel rats to using your sling to break chains and open up areas, the game has many interesting problem-solving situations.

With an engaging story, great characters, and good stealth mechanics, A Plague Tale: Innocence is quite underrated and worth a play!

• The Storyline is top-notch in all aspects of the game.
• In terms of visuals, A Plague Tale Innocence: is simply amazing.

• The enemies get repetitive after some time in A Plague Tale: Innocence.
• Sometimes, the story gets dull and predictable in A Plague Tale: Innocence.
• Combat experiences get mundane and quite predictable over time when progressing throughout the game.
• The voice acting gets inconsistent hence making the story less engaging in A Plague Tale: Innocence.

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice

By default, none of the SoulsBorne games are stealth games. In fact, many of the Soulslike games aren’t even stealth games. However, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice does something different that makes you want to use stealth, and it works quite well.

You play as a Shinobi who is on a quest to save his lord from the Ashina clan. Your mission takes you on a journey toward Ashina Castle and the surrounding areas. As you take down the many soldiers and warriors of the Ashina clan, you get one step closer to saving your lord.

Many of the encounters in the game are actually boss fights with extremely tough bosses. The majority of your gameplay will just be dying over and over to them before you finally understand their moveset, parry them efficiently and deliver the finishing deathblow.

But when you’re out in the world, stealth can be quite useful. The thing with SoulsBorne games is that even regular enemies can kill you in a few hits if you’re not too careful.

Even when you’re dealing with mini-bosses spread around the world, you can make use of stealth. If you sneak up on a mini-boss and deliver a sneaky deathblow, it’ll reduce their total health to half, making the fight a lot easier compared to if you took them head-on. 

Pros:

• Sekiro Shadows Die Twice will test your skills to the core.
• The combat system is challenging but rewarding in the end in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice.
• In Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, the world settings are exceptional and breathtaking.
• Each and every boss battle is unique in its own way.
• A variety of skill upgrades and different items to collect makes Sekiro Shadows Die Twice extremely interesting.
• You can deal with enemies and bosses in several ways. Stealth is also an important element of Sekiro Shadows Die Twice.
• The plot is interesting and fun to make a player addicted to this game.

Cons:

• Playing Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is not everyone’s cup of tea as it is extremely hard and frustrating at the very start of the game.
• Some boss battles can get really irritating in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice.
• The camera can be annoying sometimes.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided

The Deus Ex series is known for its interesting sci-fi concepts and cyberpunk-styled settings, and Deus Ex Mankind Divided is no exception and might be the best sci-fi stealth game on PS5. The game is the fourth entry in the series and is a direct sequel to the previous game.

In the world of Deus Ex, some humans have made themselves one with advanced technology, allowing themselves to get augmentations that provide them with artificial organs. These augmentations are significant improvements to regular organs.

However, in the previous game, a catastrophic event known as the Aug Incident caused all of the augmented beings to lose control and attack regular humans. And in Deus Ex Mankind Divided, you play Adam Jensen in 2029 and explore the consequences of that event.

The game mixes elements of RPG, first-person shooter, and stealth, allowing you to approach a level in many ways. The gun combat in the game is great, with many weapons to choose from. But it is quite challenging, especially when compared to the stealthy approach.

You can also unlock many skills that can give you abilities like going invisible, eavesdropping efficiently, hacking with ease, detecting enemies even through walls, and a lot more! Deus Ex Mankind Divided is a great game if you want to feel like Agent 47 with augmentations.

Pros:

• Deus Ex mainly focuses on the stealth element which is eye candy for veteran players of this game.
• The addition of new power skills potentially makes the combat more fun and distinctive in Deus Ex.
• In terms of graphics, Deus Ex is a decent-looking game.
•  The main plot is immersive and keeps the player engaged throughout the game.
• Players have the freedom of exploring different locations in Deus Ex.

• The storyline can be complex for players who have little knowledge of early titles in this franchise.
• The combat system is not intriguing enough and is awful in Deus Ex.

Batman Arkham Knight

It’s hard not to include a Batman game in a list of the best stealth games for the PS5. Unlike other superheroes, Batman is just a human, and bullets hurt him just as much as the other guy. That’s why Batman Arkham Knight punishes you heavily if you leave yourself out in the open for too long.

Following the events of Arkham City, there is a new vigilante in the town known as the Arkham Knight. And he has an entire army at his disposal to take Batman down. You play Batman to discover who the Arkham Knight really is while also fighting off other iconic villains such as Scarecrow, Riddler, and a lot more.

Besides just an interesting narrative, Arkham games are praised for their combat and stealth gameplay. Moving around quickly while taking down enemies just feels so natural in these games. Arkham Knight expands on the stealth system while retaining the mechanics that worked well.

You have access to the grapple hook, heat vision goggles, batarangs, and your cape that can work as a glider. But on top of that, you now have access to the batmobile as well. Although most of the batmobile missions feel just like typical tank wars, there are certain missions, especially boss missions, that require you to stay out of sight.

With all the gadgets, detective work, and the batmobile, Batman Arkham Knight truly makes you feel like Batman! If you’re a fan of comic book games, then it’s a must-play.

Pros:

• Despite how old this game is, Batman Arkham Knight looks absolutely spectacular in terms of visuals.
• The crime-solving missions are very interesting and keep the player engaged throughout the game.
• The maps, world design, and everything are highly detailed.
• Batman Arkham Knight provides great diversity in gameplay.
• There are tons of side missions and different things available to do in Batman Arkham Knight.
• The storyline of Batman Arkham Knight is compelling.

Cons:

• Too many batmobile battles eventually get tiresome and dull in Batman Arkham Knight.
• The PC port is terrible in Batman Arkham Knight.
• Sometimes the use of batmobile in Batman Arkham Knight becomes restrictive which is really frustrating

Dishonored 2

Dishonored 1 was a great game, and its sequel, Dishonored 2, takes the already good game and adds more elements to it to make it even better. At the start of the game, you get to choose to play as either Emily or her father, Corvo Attano. Regardless of whom you choose, your objective will remain the same, to reclaim the throne. 

You’ll have access to supernatural abilities that you can choose in either an aggressive or stealth approach. But the game does a really good job of letting you choose your own playstyle. You can totally ditch all of the supernatural abilities and just stealth your way through most of the sections.

The game supports stealth by rewarding you with different non-lethal and assassination methods through the completion of side quests. Dishonored 2 has all of the typical elements of a stealth game. Enemies detect you through line-of-sight mechanics while you try to retain your cover through objects, high areas, and even shadows.

You can attack and distract enemies through various methods. Stun mines, sleep darts, and the chaos system is some of the creative ways to attack enemies. But you can always go with the simply broken bottle for distraction paired up with a melee takedown technique!

There are also other mechanics, such as disposing of bodies to avoid drawing attention, disabling alarms, and much more, that you can discover by playing Dishonored 2 for yourself!

Pros:

• The game mechanics are hugely improved compared to the previous Dishonored game.
• The stealth gameplay is still solid and top of the shelf in Dishonored 2.
• Dishonored 2 offers a number of areas to explore.
• The world details are greatly designed in Dishonored 2.
• The new abilities are a nice add-on in Dishonored 2. They are extremely entertaining to use throughout the game.

Cons:

• The main plot is not engaging in Dishonored 2.
• Significant performance drop in busy plazas and outdoor areas is lackluster in Dishonored 2.
• Dishonored 2 is terribly optimized on PC.

Watch Dogs: Legion

Watch Dogs Legion is slightly different from the previous entries in the Watch Dogs franchise. Those games had a clear playstyle and would give you stealth abilities through hacking that would lead to some iconic moments like the block-wide power cut.

The game also had fixed protagonists with distinctive personalities and abilities. But Watch Dogs legions essentially lets you create a “legion” of operatives /characters that you can recruit from hundreds of NPCs that roam around the futuristic city of London.

These characters can have different abilities. Some might be great at melee combat and brawls or going guns-blazing and might have access to better weapons. Moreover, other characters might have better hacking skills and be greater for stealth. And when you get the right character with the exact skills you’re looking for, and the game truly shines in its gameplay.

Like the first game, there is a focus on hacking using your phone. You can distract enemies with a notification, shock them with their phones, hack into cameras, and even enable different covers for you to hide behind.

The gameplay of Watch Dogs Legion, or any Watch Dogs game, is usually about the environment and how well you can use it to your advantage. From your ability to parkour and move around to setting out traps by hacking electrical units. So, if that sounds like the kind of gameplay you might enjoy, and you like hacking, then Watch Dogs Legion is worth a shot, making it best among the hacking stealth games for the PS5.

Pros:

• Players can get right into the open world of Watch Dogs: Legion without worrying about the linearity of the storyline.
• In Watch Dogs: Legion, players can acquire tech points from the environment and use them to purchase new weapons and abilities.
• Characters can swap their outfit anywhere in Watch Dogs: Legion, which is another fantastic aspect of the game’s gear.
• Getting ahold of Cargo Drones in Watch Dogs: Legion can prove useful in many ways.

Cons:

• Overall, the graphics quality is not particularly stunning in Watch Dogs: Legion.
• Watch Dogs: Legion is the most glitchy game that Ubisoft has ever created.
• Despite being a late-generation PS4 game, it takes forever on loading screens in Watch Dogs: Legion.

Uncharted 4

Most uncharted games, in fact even Uncharted 4, are not stealth games. They’re action-adventure games that are focused on puzzles, treasure-hunting, and shooting anyone that gets in your way.

If you’re new to the Uncharted series, they follow Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter who has a knack for parkour and constantly getting himself in trouble. In Uncharted 4, we follow him as he tries to find Henry Avery’s treasure.

Uncharted 4 added some pretty good stealth elements that, although optional, are as good as some of the other stealth games on the list. In fact, certain missions where you’re breaking into areas feel really great when you pull off some great stealthy moves.

And the stealth gameplay isn’t something half-baked; it all fits in smoothly. Almost all encounters start you off as having the element of surprise on your enemies. You can often use that to your advantage by picking them off one by one.

You can mark enemies by aiming at them, and the detection system works in a similar way to games like Assassin’s Creed; enemies have a yellow indicator if they think something is wrong and a red if they completely spot you.

But as mentioned, it isn’t technically a stealth game. But if you like PS5 games where stealth is optional, and even if you get spotted, you can have just as much fun, then Uncharted 4 is a great pick.

Pros:

• Uncharted 4 has some decent visuals and sound design.
• One of the best storytelling games of all time.
• The combat is astounding including the puzzle-solving.
• The car-chasing scenes in Uncharted 4 are straight out of a movie.
• Uncharted 4 offers more stealth and exploring options compared to the previous uncharted games.

Cons:

• Uncharted 4 is extremely scripted and predictable in some events.
• AI gets repetitive which makes Uncharted 4 monotonous.

Assassin’s Creed Origins

There’s already an Assassin’s Creed game in this list, and there are actually certain games, such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, that were released after Assassin’s Creed Origins. But the game deserves mention due to the fact that it was the first game after the soft reboot of the franchise.

With Assassin’s Creed Origins, Ubisoft tried to implement RPG elements in the franchise while still trying to retain the assassin theme. Although the latest games have lost a little bit of those themes, Assassin’s Creed Origins did a good job of mixing RPG while still providing players with typical gameplay such as stealth, parkour, and much more, which is why it is considered as the best RPG stealth game on PS5!

You play as Bayek, a Medjay, who plays a vital role in the “origins” of the Assassin’s Creed and the brotherhood that we got to be part of in the previous games. We follow his tale as he tries to avenge his son, who got killed by the forerunners of the Templars. In the process, he also ends up becoming the founder of the Hidden Ones, the forerunners of the assassin’s brotherhood.

Besides the compelling story, the gameplay mechanics are much different from the previous games. You have more parkour options as you can climb almost anything in the open world. Additionally, instead of an eagle vision, you’ll have an eagle that helps you spot and mark enemies, which makes it a lot more challenging and really requires you to prepare yourself before any infiltration.

However, the game is amazing, from the characters, and the open world, to the soundtrack! Assassin’s Creed Origins is for those that love the franchise and want something fresh while still maintaining the franchise’s identity.

Pros:

• Visually, Assassin’s Creed Origins is insanely stunning and still unmatched.
• The combat system is unique and rewarding in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
• The world is vast offering enormous side content to tinker with and different things to try out in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Cons:

• The combat mechanics set it apart from Classic Assassin’s Creed games which is the major flaw of Assassin’s Creed Origins.
• The story pacing of Assassin’s Creed Origins is not the best and is rather dull.
• A number of glitches occur during the gameplay which is disappointing in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Mark Of The Ninja

We’ve discussed a lot of 3D games and even open-world games in the list so far. But to be a good stealth game, you don’t need any of those elements. In fact, as proved by Mark of the Ninja, you can make a pretty good stealth game, even in the 2D side-scrolling genre.

The story is narrated by the use of animated sequences, but the gameplay is where it truly shines. You play as a nameless ninja that uses the darkness to his advantage. When you emerge into the darker parts of the environment, you can become completely invisible, which is indicated by darker attire.

And the darkness truly is your ally, as when you’re in the shadows, you can take out enemies with just one hit. However, getting spotted leads to you dealing with the enemies straight on. And if you’re not quick enough to kill the enemy that spotted you, surrounding enemies can get alerted, leaving you with no chance of survival.

The game does a good job of pacing the challenges quite well and keeping you engaged throughout. When you start getting comfortable with using the darkness, the game can throw enemies with torch lights. And if you become comfortable taking them out, you’ll start facing enemies with night-vision goggles!

Pros:

• In Mark of The Ninja, stealth is revamped without becoming overly simplistic.
• Mark of The Ninja hugely focuses on the stealth element which is eye candy for players.
• Mark of THe Ninja has lots of replay potential.

Cons:

• The storyline is terrible in Mark of The Ninja.
• The scoring system is lackluster in Mark of The Ninja.
• Some missions are repetitive.

Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach

At this point, it’s almost rare for one not to know of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. The idea of creepy animatronics took off, especially when people started posting their gameplays on YouTube. The tension of maintaining power while trying to avoid enemies creeping up on you made a good mix of resource management and the horror genre.

But Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach takes that concept to a whole new level by not just restricting you to one control room but letting you walk around and explore areas freely.

You play as a kid that is stuck in a giant mall that is filled with animatronics, and you need to survive the night. Surprisingly, your only ally amongst the murderous machines is Freddy Fazbear, who’ll guide you and give you missions that you need to complete that’ll progress you further in the night.

Just like the first game, there’s a bunch of resource management, keeping an eye on certain meters, and always being on the lookout for an animatronic closing in on you. You can listen for footsteps and then use your stamina to run away. Additionally, you’ll need to keep your gadgets, such as the flashlight or cameras, up to charge, or you’re going to have a hard time navigating.   

If you’ve loved the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, then this game is a fresh new take on it. It adds more tension and horror moments as you get chased by enemies, get jump scares, and have to manage your depleting resources.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is truly for those players that not only want a stealth game but also want to experience a little bit of horror along the way!

Pros:

• Five Nights At Freddy’s has Decent game mechanics.
• The graphics are great. We had no doubt that Steel Wool would succeed in this situation, and they did not disappoint.
• A huge variety of different places you can explore throughout the game.
• Five Night Freddy’s offers a compelling cast of characters.

Cons:

• The story pacing is not engaging in Five Nights At Freddy’s.
• Horror and jumpscares are not the best compared to the previous games.

Days Gone

When Days Gone was initially released, it didn’t get quite a lot of appraisals. The game had a few issues, some thought of it as too generic, and others just didn’t give it a chance. But since then, there have been many updates, refinements, and an upgraded version for the PS5, making it an obvious pick for the best zombie stealth games out there!

You play as Deacon St. John, an outlaw biker in search of his wife. The game is an open-world survival game set in a post-apocalyptic setting with almost every area filled with zombies, better known as freakers.

The game certainly has a really touching narrative. Although the pacing can be a little slow, the gameplay is where the game shines. You can play in any playstyle that you want. Either go guns-blazing or go down the safer route of stealth; both feel equally good.

When you’re just starting out, you won’t exactly have the greatest guns and equipment to completely destroy the freakers that come your way. And if you’re trying to use your guns openly, especially without a silencer, you’ll soon find yourself surrounded without any chance of escape. So that’s why stealth and a silent approach become a huge part of the early game.

You can remain in cover by hiding behind objects or bushes. You can take down enemies by laying down traps, using silenced weapons, or close melee takedowns. Sometimes you can purposely create sounds to lure enemies into a giant trap to take out multiple enemies at once. Days Gone really is for those that love the stealth and zombie genre. There’s so much for you to explore and many zombies for you to kill. 

Pros:

• Days Gone effectively portrays the narrative as a multi-season tale.
• The implementation of Hordes is on top of the shelf in Days Gone.
• The survival mechanics are promising and well-balanced in Days Gone.
• Days Gone offers a massive world with plenty of side quests to experiment with throughout your journey.

Cons:

• Days Gone has some clunky switches between gameplay and cutscenes.
• The missions are quite repetitive in Days Gone.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The Metal Gear Solid franchise is known as one of the best in the stealth genre. It has some iconic games and characters, such as Solid Snake, Big Boss, and a lot more. And Metal Gear Solid V is no exception. Upon release, it caught a bunch of attention and is still relevant to this day, which is why it has a PS5 version.

The game lets you play Venom Snake (Big Boss) right after everything goes down in the prequel, “Ground Zeroes.” You’re on a quest to punish those that destroyed the previous MSF, Big boss’ Mercenary Group, and rebuild it under the name “Diamond Dogs.”

You can take enemies out by getting close to them and performing melee takedowns, or better yet, interrogating them for useful intel before making them unconscious. You’ll also need to be careful of cameras, hiding bodies, or just giant crowds of enemies.

As you work on your base, you’ll get better equipment and more items to help you in your stealthy missions. These can include having companions in the field, such as snipers or a trained dog. Or you can have the iconic cardboard box that helps Venom Snake remain hidden inside. Or you can mess around with other gadgets, such as the Fulton system, to make a quick escape by standing on top of a container.

If you love espionage games, then you can never go wrong with giving Metal Gear Solid V a shot. Yuoni

Yuoni is a unique first-person horror stealth game. You play as a 10-year-old, and no 10-year-old is capable of performing crazy combat moves or using weapons, so you can bet that stealth is your only option in the game.

The game follows the kid being challenged by her friends to complete the task of gathering a doll without being seen. It is said that if one does that successfully, then “Yuoni” asks to play with you. Without thinking much of the consequences, our protagonist completes the challenge, and the next day she’s faced with Yuoni.

The levels are different from each other each time you get the doll. And their confusing labyrinth-like design can make you feel lost in a matter of seconds. And even when you do find a way out, you’re faced with enemies that want to either scare you to death or well deliver death to you.

There are all sorts of enemies, some with shorter vision and others with great hearing that can sense you from far away. And, of course, even Yuoni occasionally appears, giving you a jump scare. Your best option for avoiding such enemies is by hiding under objects or inside closets and holding your breath!

So, if you want to try out a first-person horror stealth game, then Yuoni is one of the best that you can play on PS5. Finding games that work well on the Mac can be hard.

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider

Shadow of the Tomb Raider continues from Rise of the Tomb Raider, which came out in 2015. It continues the story of Lara Croft fighting against Trinity and trying to stop a Mayan apocalypse. Her adventures take her all the way to the tropical regions of America and even to the lost city of Paititi.

If you’ve played the previous games in the Survivor Trilogy, then many mechanics will feel similar with certain improvements. But if you’re new to the franchise, then there are many stealth mechanics for you to explore.

Like typical stealth, you can remain hidden in bushes, seek out enemies and perform silent takedowns. But Lara Croft is more skilled this time around and can camouflage herself by being covered in mud. This not only makes you less visible but also lets you hide using trees, walls, and other places.

Outfits also play a role in your camouflage as they can help you blend in or stand out from the environment. These camouflages tie in nicely with the exploration in the game, as you can find better outfits the more you search and flip over every stone in the game. 

And there’s even a skill section dedicated just to improving your stealth, such as granting double stealth takedowns. Despite having all of these tools and abilities, the game doesn’t make it totally easy for you to take down enemies. As you progress further, enemies will be equipped with thermal goggles to render your camouflage and other hiding tactics useless if you’re not too careful!

Because of all of these aspects, the game can easily be considered the best action-adventure stealth game on PS5 Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and most of Tomb Raider games tend to have great villains.
