When it comes to VR boxing games, The Thrills of the Fight surely tops the list as It gives you a very realistic experience due to it being a true-to-life boxing simulator.

In this game, you must pave your way to become the King of the ring by knocking out increasingly tough AI opponents. It is a very exhausting game because you have to throw a myriad of jabs, crosses, and hooks repetitively.

Secondly, this game has three different modes, including fighting in the ring or practising in the gym/ring. The gym includes typical Boxing equipment like a Heavy bag, Speed bag, reflex ball, and a human punching mannequin, while the fights also have a VR referee.

Furthermore, this franchise stands out against other VR Boxing games because it involves movement while playing. Since the mechanics involve a ring size of 2.5m by 1.5m, the footwork is very important to defeat your opponents. However, you must arrange the play area size accordingly, which is equivalent to 6.5ft by 5ft.

Another drawback is that although the UI is robust and simple, you have to move around and reach out your hand to select items. In addition, Steam users get the Steam license that is only compatible with PC VR sets, making it unable to play on another platform.

It is important for users of Oculus Quest to note before buying the game that neither Oculus Link nor Virtual Desktop provides the play area information beforehand to play the game correctly.
All in all, if you are looking for a near-reality Boxing experience while at home, then The Thrill of the Fight is unarguably the best VR Boxing game out there.

Pros

  • It offers a realistic experience.
  • There are three different modes to choose from.
  • It allows you to make use of footwork while playing.

Cons

  • It has a very simple UI.
  • The Steam license of the game is only compatible with PC VR sets.

Revolving around a spooky cartoonish world, Knockout League stands out as a goofy arcade boxing game. The distinctive feature of Knockout League is the colorful cast of characters that it offers as your opponents. This includes a mad scientist, a pirate, a magician, squids, giants, and a clever octopus. Each of the opponents has its own attributes, like special punches.

There is a range of short training choices in the game. For example, in arcade mode, you practice dodging and blocking. Besides, there is a punching bag mode, and workouts like pad practice and reflex alley are also a part of the game.

There is a very rich color scheme for the game’s humorous characters and gameplay. Additionally, the UI of this game is very clean and well organized, but it sometimes hangs up when selecting some options.

If you love to punch extensively and are looking for an amusing family-friendly game, this one falls as the right fit among the top-tier VR Boxing games.

Pros

  • This game offers eye-catching graphics.
  • There are a variety of characters to choose from.
  • There are different modes to choose from.

Cons

  • It has a slow UI.

  • There is an endurance test before each matchup.
  • This game allows advanced hand movement.

It is a very eccentric VR Boxing game that takes place in an ultra-modern future world.
The opponents are robots similar to the Transformers series, and the venues are situated in different parts of the galaxy where you fight against these Robots.

When it comes to the plot of the game, it revolves around a communist dictatorship in which society finds Robot fighting as a common sport. You must face your opponent or face embarrassment from the crowd.
Furthermore, the game has an authentic plot progression, and it covers every detail in depth, including sweat and heart-pumping attributes.

With countless weapons to choose from, Mech League Boxing has no limitations in terms of rules. Additionally, it consists of futuristic maps. For example, an arena is set up next to a volcano in space; you are always curious since you do not know the next location of the fight.

Virtual Boxing League is a good Boxing simulator that gives you a real experience with a sweaty workout. You must climb five different ladders in this game by combating a number of fighters. This is not so easy since the game matrix involves real-life technique motion capture data from Professional Boxers.

  • It offers unique mini-game modes.

The control involves using your fists and kicks to attack, along with the usual arsenal of dodging, punching, and counterattacking. With the capacity of up to 4 players, the arena can be chosen as the gym or the ring against AI or another player.
