Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 packs some of the best guns, loadouts, and an arsenal of small to big weapons that shooter fans would love to get lost into. The class setups builds, and custom-designed loadouts are the meat of any meta in COD, and that is why I have listed the 10 best weapons in Modern Warfare 2 you should have if you want to be on the winning team.

FSS Hurricane

One of the best submachine guns in Modern Warfare 2 is the FSS Hurricane, but only if it has the optimal loadout for it. The FSS Hurricane gives up some of its stopping capability and range in exchange for a larger capacity for ammunition and improved stability.

Because of its power, consistency, and strength, I  feel that it is currently leading the pack in the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: MW2 right now. This submachine gun is capable of much more than only being used at close to medium ranges. 

After unlocking attachments, and when fitted with the appropriate combinations, the FSS Hurricane submachine gun has the potential to perform very well in both mid-range and long-distance confrontations.

M4

The M4 has remained one of the go-to guns for players since the early Call of Duty games. It is a well-rounded Assault Rifle that is already the easy pick for most writers here at eXputer who played COD MW 2. If this is your first time playing Modern Warfare 2, I suggest that you begin with an M4 and the loadout that I have chosen for you so that you can take the fight all the way to glory.

The best part about the M4 Assault Rifle is that you can get your hands on it straight away when you start Modern Warfare 2. This means that there is nothing special that you have to perform in order to get the weapon.

Lachmann Sub MP5

Lachmann Sub, aka MP5, is by far the best weapon in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 if you like to play CQC. If you don’t, then you’re better off using FSS Hurricane, which I think is a slightly better gun than Lachmann Sub due to its medium range.

Even though MW 2 renames this infamous SMG as Lachmann SUB, die-hard COD players will instantly recognize MP5 by its size and lethality of it. They may even use it as a go-to weapon for the entire meta, and that is completely understandable.

FTAC Recon

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the FTAC Recon is one of the first combat rifles you’ll be able to obtain. It’s also one of the best guns to use when playing multiplayer mode at launch, so make sure you pick it up as soon as you can. The FTAC Recon is one of the few ARs in the game that is deserving of the praise that it receives.

Expedite 12

The Expedite 12 is a pump-action shotgun that has a high damage output and performs very well in CQC. However, since it has a large damage drop-off, it is difficult for it to have any type of effect at longer distances. The shotgun is eerily similar to the Model 680 shotgun that was featured in the 2019 installment of Modern Warfare.

Even though the Expedite 12 is not at the top of my list of the best weapons, it is still quite powerful in multiplayer when used in conjunction with the appropriate class loadout. I have provided recommendations for the best loadout setups for the Expedite 12 that are able to eliminate opponents with a single shot while engaged in close-quarters combat.

M16

Kastov-74U

The TAQ-56 excels in mid-range combat because of its relatively rapid rate of fire and high damage output, both of which are matched by very few other ARs.

Signal 50 is equipped with 50-caliber rounds, and it also has a firing type that is semi-automatic and remarkably simple to manage even while intense combat is taking place.

Because the gameplay of this weapon cannot be compared to that of other semiautomatic machine guns (SMGs), such as the MP5, learning this gun calls for a great deal of patience.
