Diablo Immortal: How To Solve 9 Lamps Puzzle

This guide entails all you need to know about the Lost Runes questline and the solution to the Nine Lamps Puzzle in Diablo Immortal.

Before I actually get to solving the Nine Lamps puzzle, let me discuss its location and the recommended level for reaching there beforehand. The Nine Lamp puzzle is a part of the Lost Runes questline in Diablo Immortal. The Curator will assign you this quest of finding him three lost runes. Resolving the puzzle of Nine Lamps is necessary to obtain the first rune in Diablo Immortal. The recommended level for this quest is from 30 to 40, but in my opinion, to solve this puzzle, you’ll need brains, not brawn.

The quest will begin as soon as you reach the Library of Zoltan Kulle. So in order to reach the recommended level for this quest, be sure to check out our Diablo Immortal Max Level guide and learn the best tips to level up faster in the game.

Key Takeaways
  • Diablo Immortal comes with a handful of puzzles for players to resolve, mainly in the main storyline and one of those quests is Lost Runes where you will find a “Nine Lamps” puzzle.
  • Many players are struggling with how to approach this puzzle and the key is to first interact and light all the lamps in the corner and then only light up the lamp in the middle.
  • After solving this puzzle, you will be given one of the three runes, there is no puzzle at time two as you have to mainly prepare for battle against enemies.

How To Solve 9 Lamps Puzzle

The first thing I reckon you’ll want to know is how to reset the puzzle because you’ve probably already failed at your own attempt; otherwise, you wouldn’t be here. Luckily, Diablo Immortal actually allows resetting the puzzle if you want to attempt it again, instead of making you repeat the whole questline.

To reset the puzzle, leave the area and then interact with the first rune statue located near the lamps after revisiting the area again.

After you are done resetting the lamps, It’s now time to turn them on all at once. In m there is no hard and fast rule for this because there are actually numerous ways to solve this puzzle, and if you are paying attention to your surroundings, you can actually solve this yourself. So if you don’t want to spoil the solution to the puzzle right away and want a hint, look for the book right next to where the nine lamps are situated.

Well, if the hint from the book didn’t work for you, let’s get to the solution. The solution to the puzzle is actually very simple and straightforward. All you have to do is to interact with all the lamps in each corner of the puzzle. After turning on all the corner lamps, approach the middle one and interact with it.

I have confirmed that the corner lamps can be lit in any order. Illuminating the corner lamps in any order and then interacting with the middle one will yield the same result.

After you are done with the corner lamps, turning on the middle lamp will unlock the first rune, and that’s how you solve the Nine Lamps puzzle in Diablo Immortal. Solving this puzzle will grant you a Nine-Star Waistband.

Locating Rune 2 & 3 in Library of Zoltan Kulle

After you are done solving the puzzle of Nine Lamps as a part of the Lost Runes questline in Diablo Immortal, you’ll obviously want to know where to get the rest of the runes after getting the first one.

Location of Rune 2

After obtaining the first rune, your next task will be to locate the second one. The second rune isn’t anywhere behind some secret wall. You’ll come across the rune naturally as you make your way through the Library of Zoltan Kulle.

Another thing I suggest to keep in mind is that you won’t have to solve any puzzle to get the second rune. Instead, you’ll be tasked with taking down a set of enemies. So prepare yourself for some combat for this one.

Location of Rune 3

For the last rune, you’ll have to solve a puzzle again. No need to fret over it since it isn’t very complicated either and I am here to guide you as well.

For the third Lost Rune, you’ll have to solve a Mirror puzzle. Firstly, push the mirror shown in the image to the left.

Player moves the first mirror leftwards

Then push the Mirror adjacent to where you are standing and push it down. You’ll start seeing a pattern now.

Moving Second Mirror

After moving the second mirror downwards, move the mirror shown in the image below downwards two times. Doing this will solve the Mirror puzzle in the Library of Zoltan Kulle. Resolving this puzzle will get you the third and final rune of the quest. Place the runes in the statues adjacent to their founding locations and interact with The Curator. Your interaction with The Curator will mark the end of the Lost Runes questline.

Moving Third Mirror

This wraps up my guide on the solution to the Nine Lamps puzzle and the locations of other runes in Diablo Immortal. Let me know what you thought of this quest in the comments below.
