Disney Dreamlight Valley: All Three Editions Explained

In this guide, you will learn about all three editions currently available for Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Gameloft Montreal’s Disney Dreamlight Valley’s early access version went live a couple of days ago. While the full version of the game is going to be free, you will need to pay to try out the early access version. Therefore today, we are going to compare all Disney Dreamlight Valley editions to help you make a decision.

Disney Dreamlight Valley was first announced in April this year, and players have been eagerly waiting to get their hands on it since then. While the game is expected to release sometime next year, the developers have released an early access version of it, so players can get a taste of what they’ve been cooking in the studio.

Now, you have two options. You can either wait for the developers to release the full version of the game next year and then try it out for free. Or, if you can’t wait that long and want to jump into the game straight away, you can go ahead and purchase one of the Founder Packs.

Key Takeaways

  • The early access version of Disney Dreamlight Valley went live a few days ago.
  • There are three editions of Disney Dreamlight Valley available; Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate.
  • Although the full version of the game is going to be free to play, players will need to purchase one of the editions to gain access to the early version.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Editions

The Founder Packs of Disney Dreamlight Valley are divided into three different editions, and all of them come with additional content. But the most important part; they give you access to the game’s early version.

Standard Edition

The first edition of the game is the Standard Edition. Typically, the Standard Edition of games only offers the game. This is not the case with Disney Dreamlight Valley, as it also offers some additional content.

Standard Edition

If you purchase the Disney Dreamlight Valley Standard Edition, you will get access to the game and 8,000 Moonstones. For those who don’t know, Moonstones are the in-game currency that you can use to purchase different characters. The list does not stop here, as you also get access to 2 wearable items, 3 design motifs for Touch of Magic, and 9 decoration items.

Deluxe Edition

Next, we have the Deluxe Edition. This is where things start to get a little more exciting, as the kind of content this edition comes packed with is astonishing.

Once purchased, the Deluxe Edition will grant you access to the game, and your in-game account will get credited with 14,500 Moonstones. Also, if you are already enjoying the early access, make sure to check out how to get rid of mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley, as they are pretty annoying.

Furthermore, you will receive 7 wearable items, 10 decoration items, and 3 design motifs for Touch of Magic. But the biggest addition to the Deluxe Edition is the Celestial Turtle animal companion. Oh, and, you will also get everything that is included in the Standard Edition so that you won’t miss out on anything.

Ultimate Edition

Finally, we have the Ultimate Edition. You can also probably tell that this edition of the game features more and better content. There is a reason why this edition is the most expensive one among all three, which we’ll talk about later.

Ultimate Edition

The Disney Dreamlight Valley Ultimate Edition grants players access to the game’s early version and provide them with 20,000 Moonstones to kickstart their journey. Furthermore, it comes packed with 4 wearable items, 15 decoration items, and 3 design motifs for Touch of Magic.

As for the animal companion, this one features the Regal Fox. In addition to this, the Ultimate Edition contains all of the cosmetic items from the Standard and Deluxe editions.

Cost Of All Editions

Coming down to the most important part, the price. The Standard Edition of Disney Dreamlight Valley is priced at $29.99, while the Deluxe Edition has a price tag of $49.99. As for the Ultimate Edition, players can purchase it for $69.99.

All three editions of the game are amazing, but if you ask us, the Deluxe Edition seems the best deal. This is because it contains plenty of content to help you get started in the game. Sure, if you want the most amount of content, you can go ahead and get the Ultimate Edition.

However, the Deluxe Edition already features plenty of stuff, and the extra content of the Ultimate Edition does seem worth the extra $20.

Are There Any Other Editions Available?

At the time of writing, there are only three editions available for the game, and we have mentioned all of them in our guide. The developers have not made any announcement regarding more editions of the game, but we might get to see some new ones as we get close to the game’s release.

At that time, we can expect them to launch a Collector’s Edition. But for now, you only have the luxury of choosing from the three mentioned editions.

Is The Early Version Worth Getting?

An important thing to remember is that the early version of the Disney Dreamlight Valley is not the complete version of the game so that you will encounter different bugs and glitches. However, this is what early access is for. Your main goal is to explore the game and report issues to the developers so that they can fix them before the early access period.

Now, is getting the early version worth it? This is totally up to you. If you are someone who was excited when the game was first announced and have wanted to try it ever since you should purchase one of the three editions to get a taste of it.

The game is filled with amazing characters, and we also shared a list of their voice actors. It allows you to participate in different activities and cook different stuff. You can read our guide on how to cook Jam Waffles to learn more about it.

But if you are not eager to play it, it’s best to wait until the early access period is over. That way, you won’t complain about spending any money on the game if you don’t find it worth it.

Takeaways

This was everything you needed to know about Disney Dreamlight Valley editions. As you can see, there are three editions of you to choose from, and all of them are priced differently. If you just want to try the game, it will be wise to go with the Standard Edition. But if you want some extra content, you can read about the other two editions and go with the one that suits your budget.
