It can be a little difficult to locate all three of them, and you might not be able to find them for hours if you don’t know where to go. 

Now, before we get into the location of each Sunstone Fragment, it is important to first learn about how time works in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This is because each one will become available at a certain time. In the game, the Morning time is between 5 AM to 11 AM, the Midday time is 11 AM to 10 PM, and the Night time is 10 PM to 5 AM. Sunlit Plateau Sunstone Fragment  

To get your hands on the first Sunstone Fragment, you will need to make your way all the way to the Sunlit Plateau in the morning. After reaching the place, go to the Southern Part of the map, and you’ll be able to see the first Fragment. 

Some players have complained that they are unable to spot the Fragment after reaching the place. If this happens to you, don’t worry, as the Fragment will spawn after some time.

What you need to do is wander around the Sunlit Plateau and then return after a few minutes. You’ll be able to see it this time. Again, ensure that you are visiting the place at the right time, between 5 AM and 11 AM. If you go there before or later than this time, the Fragment will not spawn.

Glade Of Trust Sunstone Fragment  

After acquiring the first Fragment, you must make your way to Glade of Trust to get the second one. The second Fragment is also easy to locate, as you can find it near a huge tree on the northwest side. For this one, you will need to visit Glade of Trust between 11 AM and 5 PM, as the Fragment does not spawn at any other time.

Forest Of Valor Fragment  

Finally, to get your hands on the third and final Sunstone Fragment required to complete Mother Gothel’s quest, you need to wait for the night to arrive. After the night has started, make your way to the Forest of Valor, where you can find the third Fragment outside Anna’s house, on the right side. 

After you have successfully collected all three Sunstone Fragments, return to Mother Gothel. The quest will be over as soon as you hand them over to her.

You will then have to wait until you reach friendship level 10 with her, after which you will get a quest during which you will need to restore the Sunstone. Even though you might hate her for what she did in Tangled, you will need to complete her entire questline if you want to progress through the game.

It is important to remember that you will first need to unlock both Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust. These biomes can be unlocked without clearing out the Night Throns. And to clear them, you will need to spend 3,000 Dreamlight for Forest of Valor and 5,000 Dreamlight for Glade of Trust.
