If this doesn’t work, then there is also a good chance that something is going about with the server of the game, and then you’ll just have to wait until the issue is automatically resolved.
Sign Out Of The Xbox App
Reddit user u/Ok_Task5367 pointed out in a post by u/M4GNUM_FORCE_44 on the Darktide subreddit that the error code 4001 can also be fixed by signing out of the Xbox app while in-game. Simply start the game and go to the point where you normally face the error code, but before you click on “Start”, open up the Xbox app, click on your profile icon and sign out. Then go back into the game and press “ Start”.
If this doesn’t work, then try signing out of the Xbox Game Bar App as well.
