FE Engage features 26 main chapters, each containing several battles and quests that follow up with the main storyline progression. So, if you’re playing at an average pace while going for crucial side quests and farming necessary items, it may take up to 50 hours to beat the game.

Reaching the game’s end credits as quickly as possible depends on your play style. If you just want to speed run the game while ignoring the optional features, then you can beat it in considerably less time. However, if you feel like enjoying the immersive gameplay with exciting adventures while getting entertained by the dramatic cutscenes, then you’ll have to invest more time.

Speedrunning

If you’re eager to reach the end credits while ignoring the side quests and optional content of the game, then it will take roughly around 30-35 hours. You can speed run the game in Easy difficulty settings and focus solely on the main storyline while skipping all the cut scenes.

Although speedrunning helps you beat the game in less time compared to its actual completion period, it is not recommended to go for it as you will miss a lot of crucial stuff. You might miss the actual storyline, but if you like to only enjoy battles and action without bothering much about the game’s plot, then it is not a bad option.

100% Completion

When we talk about RPGs like Fire Emblem Engage, beating and completing the game are entirely different terms. Now, If you want to invest your time in the game and experience all the featured utilities, it will take around 90 to 100 hours to conclude all the chapters. It will include all the cutscenes, side quests, optional battles, Tower of Trail unlocks, and completion of the paralogues.

In FE Engage, you will find plenty of optional unlockables, including various Lords and characters. These lords have their separate stories called “Paralogue,” and completing the paralogues to learn more about a specific character and get additional rewards is optional.

In addition, there is another feature called Tower of Trails, which helps you improve your team’s performance and test out different playstyles. The game also features additional side content, such as building relations with the characters, developing bonds, and making romance. So, while completing the game, you can experience all these features and get to know the real plot of the game with a satisfying ending.

Factors Determining The Completion Of Game

As discussed earlier, the completion rate of the game is entirely dependent on your strategic playstyle, patience, and mission completion pace. The initial chapters of the game are considerably easy and take less time to beat. However, as you start progressing toward the end chapters, your battles become fairly competitive and time-consuming.

In FE Engage, going for side quests, optional battles, and spending time in your base will add up to your total time. Also, if you’re playing at higher difficulty levels, then you have to be prepared for even more challenges and hurdles that will come your way.

One unique thing in Engage is that the game has only one end route, unlike its predecessor, which featured multiple routes to end the game. So, now players will not have to start over to change their paths and see all the possible outcomes at the end. This makes the campaign more definitive and streamlined.

Tips To Beat FE Engage Faster

Although you know different ways to reach the end credits, you should also learn some tips and strategies that will boost your pace even further and help you play more efficiently. Some tips to remember are:

  • Play the game in Easy Mode.
  • Use faster and better heroes such as Etie and Alear rather than using the default squad of Anna, Sharina, Alphonse, and Virion throughout the game.
  • Try not to die, as it will slow down your progress.
  • Take advantage of the Weapon Triangle System to get favorable outcomes in battles.
  • Farm and spend your Gold wisely. Use it only to upgrade your Engage Weapons.
  • Use SP to enhance your skills and beat the higher-tier enemies effectively.
