Alongside an immersive main story, Fire Emblem Engage also provides engaging online features. These online modes allow players to engage in cooperation or create their own personal maps.
Online Features In Fire Emblem Engage
In order to access online features, players must first complete Chapter 6: The Stolen Ring of the main story. Once that is done, head to the Tower of Trials in Somniel. Now, you are ready to access the two multiplayer modes in Fire Emblem Engage.
Also, keep in mind that these features are only available if you are subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online. Do not forget to connect to the internet from the menu either.
Relay Trials is a cooperative mode that allows players to fight a CPU-controlled team together. Each player will take turns in controlling the team to execute attacks. In order to create your own session, you will need Relay Tickets. These tickets can only be attained once every 24 hours from Somniel, so this mode is very limited in play.
If you do not want to use a Relay Ticket, you can also join a session in progress.
Outrealm Trials allow players to make their own maps, similar to GTA Online. However, the catch is that 2 players cannot fight each other here, as this mode is limited to players vs AI. In addition, the set of skills that can be used by the AI-controlled team is also determined by the creator of the map.
You can also fight on another player’s custom map with your friends or by yourself.
Fire Emblem Engage is the latest addition to the Fire Emblem series, developed by Intelligent Systems and released by Nintendo. It is a tactical turn-based RPG that features many characters from previous games, aiming to please both new and old fans.
