Ready Or Not

Ready or Not Dev Concerns
Ready Or Not Game
AwardsBest horror game in FPS genre
Release Date18 Dec, 2021
Developer/PublisherVOID Interactive
Gameplay TypeSingle-player, multiplayer

Ready or Not is a tactical horror game in which the player must sneak through vast mazes depicting the deterioration of American society in order to seek for suspects. It’s a fantasy game, but at its finest, it’s an excellently stressful puzzle game that’s interrupted by jittery gunfights.

You’ll devote more time shooting than checking for traps, and you’ll leave a trail of lights behind to show where you’ve previously been. You will, at some point, face NPCs who refuse to give up and, instead of doing so, draw their weapons and begin attacking you with an overwhelming level of ferocity.

I was unprepared for the level of excellence that Ready or Not had. Even though I had a sneaking suspicion that it would be a strong spiritual successor, seeing it come together in a manner that is both scary and surprising is an amazing victory. There has never been a better opportunity to leap into Ready or Not since the development team is always working to add more material, enhance their artificial intelligence, and offer new aspects and tools.

Pros

  • Ready Or Not offers a unique blend of action and puzzle solving gameplay.
  • The game has a vibrant and colorful art style that is visually appealing.
  • There are numerous levels with a wide variety of challenges, keeping the game interesting and engaging.
  • The game features an interesting story and dynamic characters.

Cons

  • The game can be quite difficult, making it frustrating for those who are not skilled at puzzle solving games.
  • Some levels are overly complicated and require a lot of trial and error to complete.
  • Some of the controls can be a bit clunky at times.
  • There are no online leaderboards or multiplayer options.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2
AwardsBest sniper rifle FPS game
Release Date25 April 2017
Developer/PublisherCI Games
Gameplay TypeSingle-player, multiplayer

The majority of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 focuses on North’s attempts to overthrow a group of Georgian rebels while also hunting for his brother, who had been taken captive earlier in the game. To begin with, the narrative is quite flimsy, and it has stilted speech and two-dimensional characters. You will spend the majority of your time in the newly implemented open environment of Sniper: Ghost Warrior inching closer to your objective, either by climbing drainpipes or gingerly descending steep outcrops.

You will need to scavenge for components and ammunition to repair your weapons, and you will need to investigate every home to obtain valuable consumables. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 falls victim to numerous of the problems that are common to the genre. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is a letdown, and that’s before we even get to the narrative problems. Players, similar to those in other open-world shooting games, have a number of alternative options on how to complete any given objective.

You will still be able to enjoy certain moments here and there despite the fact that it is not wholly dissimilar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Pros

  • Beautiful Graphics: Sniper
  • Open World Gameplay
  • Realistic Weaponry
  • Variety of Missions

Cons

  • Technical Issues
  • Poor AI
  • Repetitive Missions
  • Unintuitive Controls

Escape from Tarkov

Games like COD MW2
Escape From Tarkov
Awardsbest Battlestate Game
Release Date27 July 2017
Developer/PublisherBattlestate Games
Gameplay TypeMultiplayer Shooter

The video game Escape From Tarkov is a survival title that adapts the conventions of battle royale while also including some unique gameplay elements. You get to decide what you bring into each encounter, and you have to handle a rather complex medical system that mimics injuries, agony, as well as the consequences of hunger and thirst.

While Escape of Tarkov does not directly match one of the games like Modern Warfare 2, this is not your typical Call of Duty game in which you go in, play a few of matches, and then enjoy yourself. In contrast to MW2, you will not find yourself relaxing throughout your whole raid.

Your armor is the only thing that will reflect this unrest. Your armor will become less effective depending on the size of the bullet that hits you and the ballistic characteristics of the specific cartridge that was fired at you. Because of this, many professionals in the first-person shooter gaming industry consider Escape From Tarkov to be a tough shooter game rather than merely a casual one.

It’s safe to say that Escape From Tarakov is one of the most challenging multiplayer games I’ve ever played, but the fact that it also provides a really one-of-a-kind experience is why I can’t stay away from it. Read our Escape From Tarkov guides page to learn more about the game, such as what is lend lease, best settings and more.

Pros

  • Highly detailed and realistic environment
  • Deep and immersive storyline
  • Varied and engaging weapon mechanics
  • Varied mission objectives and options

Cons

  • High system requirements
  • Uneven server performance
  • Lengthy load times
  • Graphical and audio glitches

Insurgency: Sandstorm

Games Like COD MW2
Insurgency Sandstorm
AwardsBest tactical shooter game
Release Date29 September 2021
Developer/PublisherNew World Interactive
Gameplay TypeTactical shooter Multiplayer

Insurgency: Sandstorm does not have a standard story-driven campaign mode in its gameplay. Instead, it places an emphasis on competitive and cooperative gameplay, providing a wide range of game types to choose from. Although a narrative campaign mode would have been a welcome addition to Sandstorm, the fact that it does not seem incomplete in its current state is likely a reflection of how well the game was designed.

It’s possible that Insurgency: Sandstorm is one of the greatest tactical shooting experiences you’ll have the opportunity to discover anyplace else. It is not the individual’s performance that determines success, but rather the performance of the team. In addition, while you may sometimes witness individual attempts from inexperienced players dashing off and accomplishing solo kills, this is never a satisfying end in the game and should be avoided at all costs.

When it comes to first-person shooters, Insurgency: Sandstorm is one of a kind, and it’s an amazing fun to play once you get the hang of its primary gameplay. While the shooting in this game is most likely to remind you of something like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on console, it’s still a lot of fun. Nevertheless, the Sandstorm sketches out its own space in the genre by providing genuine gunplay.

Pros

  • Realistic, immersive graphics
  • Highly detailed maps
  • Excellent sound effects
  • Tactical team-based gameplay

Cons

  • Performance may suffer on lower-end PC systems
  • Occasional bugs or glitches
  • Lack of content compared to other FPS games
  • Only supports up to 16 players in online battles
  • No single-player mode

Squad

30 best pc games to play
Squad
Awardsbest team player game
Release Date23 September 2020
Developer/PublisherOffworld Industries
Gameplay TypeFirst-person shooter, tactical shooter Multiplayer

In contrast to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there is no single-player mode in Squad. The servers are capable of simultaneously supporting up to 72 people, however a congested environment does not always provide the greatest results in terms of the quality of the gaming experience. The game follows a format that is very typical, and some people could find it monotonous; yet, this is not where the game really shines.

By adjusting key gameplay aspects, like as how simplistic the head-up display (HUD) is, Squad creates a more realistic sense for the combat. It merely displays the information that is absolutely necessary, such as a compass so that you have some concept of direction, a little health bar to represent your current state, and the stamina meter to show how much energy you still have left.

Although playing the video game Squad will not give you the same sense of a AAA production as playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you will still enjoy the game. Despite this, it’s always a good idea to branch out and attempt first-person shooter games that aren’t like any others and provide something more than the standard formula.

Pros

  • Variety of different game modes
  • Fun, fast-paced gameplay
  • Regular updates with new content
  • Short matches for quick gaming sessions

Cons

  • Lack of customization options
  • Limited range of vehicles
  • Online only game
  • Limited weapon balance
  • Limited map selection

Aliens Colonial Marines

Aliens Colonial Marines
Aliens Colonial Marines
Awardsbest marines game
Release DateFebruary 12, 2013
Developer/PublisherGearbox Software
Gameplay TypeFirst-person shooter, Single-player, multiplayer

If you are sick of blowing people’s chests out and murdering them with headshots, then you should play the video game Aliens: Colonial Marines where you can do all of those things to aliens instead of humans. The shooter formula in this game introduces a new twist compared to what you saw in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and some gamers may find that the new twist is an improvement. This title could’ve become the best survival game but the potentials is clearly wasted.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is a piece of science fiction fluff that has poor storytelling and low-quality production characteristics. A game set in a world that has so much untapped potential should not commit the cardinal error of making itself so easily forgotten that it is deemed superfluous.

To make matters even worse, it is quite evident that many of the game levels were not created with cooperative play in mind. When all of the players are present, the stealth levels become a chaotic muddle that lacks any sense of suspense. Colonial Marines really misses the mark when it comes to capturing the spirit of what makes the Alien series great as well as what makes the very finest shooters so thrilling.

Pros

  • Fast-paced and exciting gameplay
  • Authentic Aliens atmosphere and references to the movies
  • Fun co-op and competitive multiplayer modes
  • Variety of weapons and customization options

Cons

  • Poor graphics and textures
  • Unbalanced difficulty levels
  • Lack of story content
  • Technical issues and glitches

Call of Duty 2

Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 2
Awardsbest old school COD game
Release DateOctober 25, 2005
Developer/PublisherInfinity Ward
Gameplay TypeSingle-player, multiplayer FPS

The sequel to one of the most popular World War II shooters of all time, Call of Duty 2 delivers almost everything a player might want for and anticipate from a World War II shooter sequel. It’s possible that the dearth of new content in Call of Duty 2 may discourage you from playing it, but at least it’s not COD Modern Warfare 2, which has fresh content that’s packed with thrilling new reasons to play the game again. At the beginning of the 2000s, this was not the thing to do.

The area in which Call of Duty 2 shines above all others is its audio. The audio quality of the game is excellent, both in terms of the stirring soundtrack that ramps up at pivotal times and the explosion effects.

Additionally, the presentation of Call of Duty 2 is of the highest caliber. The beginning of each mission has video, as well as narration in the form of a documentary, which serves to establish the historical context of what you are going to undertake in the mission. The shouting is extremely impressive, as is the delivery of the message.

There is no comparison to be made between Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty 2, given that the former is the finest Call of Duty game to date and the latter was the best FPS game available at the time. However, if you want to play an OG COD title that is also a game like Modern Warfare 2, then COD 2 could be it.

Pros

  • Excellent graphics
  • Intense and immersive gameplay
  • Variety of weapons and vehicles
  • Realistic enemy AI
  • Online multiplayer mode

Cons

  • Maps can be too small for larger battles
  • Limited number of weapons
  • No significant changes from the original Call of Duty
  • Enemies can be too difficult for some players
  • Lack of dynamic elements in the environment

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered 2016

Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered
Awardsbest modern shooter game
Release DateNovember 4, 2016
Developer/PublisherRaven Software
Gameplay TypeSingle-player, multiplayer

It seems remarkable that so few Call of Duty games have been able to recreate the memorable quality of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’s campaign, but we understand precisely why it continues to be so good after all these years. Although Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a compelling narrative, the first Modern Warfare still holds the crown in this regard.

Modern Warfare Remastered is an excellent way to experience it for the first time if you haven’t already done so. The game has the appearance and sound of a brand new game that is on level with the visual and audio norms of today, but it betrays its past with gameplay that is more traditional than you are used to. This is due, in part, to the fact that a significant amount of effort was put into the design of Modern Warfare’s maps in order to guarantee that each arena gives the impression that it deserves its presence.

This tradition is honored in Modern Warfare Remastered with the inclusion of modernized graphics and music that truly go above and beyond the call of duty, giving an outdated care package a facelift. If you’ve finished playing Modern Warfare 2, but you’ve never had the opportunity to play Modern Warfare Remastered, this is something you may look forward to.

Pros

  • Improved graphics and lighting effects
  • 60 fps on all platforms
  • Variety of weapons and equipment
  • Newly added 10th prestige system
  • All-new perks and Scorestreaks
  • Addition of new game modes

Cons

  • Only includes the base game and no DLCs
  • Multiplayer maps are the same as the original
  • No co-op campaign mode
  • No mod support
  • No cross-platform play

Hell Let Loose

Hell Let Loose Is Free To Play Across All Platforms This Weekend
Awardsbest hardcore FPS game
Release DateOctober 5, 2021
Developer/PublisherBlack Matter
Gameplay TypeMultiplayer FPS

The experience known as Hell Let Loose is one that doesn’t care whether you’re having a good time because it wants to impress upon you that war is a terrible thing. This is not a casual shooter game like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, in which you can start the game after a hectic weekend and enjoy either the plot or the online action. It’s possible that you won’t like playing Hell Let Loose if you don’t spend at least an hour participating in online matches and talking to the people on your team.

It is a first-person shooter with a reflective atmosphere that is set in the European theater of World War II. It allows you to scratch that competitive itch in a manner that is more thoughtful than what you would be used to from Battlefield or other Call of Duty games. However, what separates this game from others is its pace, its level of realism, and the degree to which teamwork and strategic thinking are important factors in determining who wins matches.

The importance of having a wide variety of classes in Hell Let Loose extends beyond just being able to successfully manage spawning. You’ll want Riflemen who can restock ammunition, Medics are crucial for revives, and every class seems more valuable than it does in most other games that follow this concept.

Pros

  • Realistic environment and terrain
  • Variety of vehicles to commandeer
  • Detailed and accurate weaponry
  • Exciting and intense combat
  • High replayability
  • Large-scale battles with up to 100 players

Cons

  • No single player mode
  • Unfinished game mechanics
  • Unbalanced faction divisions
  • High system requirements
  • Poor matchmaking and server stability

Release DateSeptember 23, 2014

Gameplay TypeTactical FPS Multiplayer

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) are two of the most popular first-person shooter games available today. Both offer exciting, fast-paced action and intense multiplayer gameplay, but there are some major differences between the two.

CS:GO is a classic, tactical shooter that focuses on strategy and accurate aim rather than running and gunning. It requires players to work together in order to succeed, and features a wide variety of weapons and maps. The game also has a large and active competitive scene, with tournaments and leagues being held regularly.

MW2, on the other hand, is a much more arcade-style shooter that emphasizes running and gunning, with a large focus on perks and custom classes. It also features a campaign mode, which CS:GO lacks. MW2 also has a large online community, but the focus is more on the social aspect of the game than the competitive scene.

When comparing the two games, it’s clear that they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. CS:GO is a classic tactical shooter that emphasizes teamwork and strategy, while MW2 is a more fast-paced and arcade-style shooter that emphasizes running and gunning. Both games have a large and active online community, but the focus in CS:GO is more on the competitive scene, while in MW2 it’s more on the social aspect of the game.

Battlefield 1

AwardsBest World War 1 FPS game
Release DateOctober 21, 2016
Developer/PublisherDICE
Gameplay TypeFPS shooter Single-player, multiplayer

Battlefield 1 is the first shooter to uncover interesting and dramatic storylines, effective methods to express them, as well as a campaign structure that should influence each shooter that comes after it. The finishing touch is provided by the revamped cooperative and competitive multiplayer combat. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s single-player campaign, you may discover something of a gripping story, but Battlefield 1 is full of emotionally engaging and profoundly powerful short tales.

The Battlefield series received an outstanding and daring reimagining with the release of Battlefield 1. It is less unexpected that the single-player campaign can take on a challenging environment and handle it with skill and creativity than it is that the multiplayer mode is as strong and different as it is. In a manner that does neither seem stretched out or drawn out, Battlefield 1 manages to capture both tremendous moments of spectacle and calmer moments of explanation in a way that is seamless.

These very little tweaks and improvements make a world of a difference, and they are deeply invested in what could be the most aesthetically pleasing first-person shooter ever developed. Battlefield 1 is the result of Dice taking a chance by exploring a setting from World War I that has not been seen in large multiplayer shooters previously, and the game excels in this regard.

Pros

  • Authentic representations of World War 1 weapons and vehicles
  • Immersive and dynamic battlefields
  • Variety of maps and game modes
  • Smooth and intuitive controls
  • Great sound design

Cons

  • Limited customization options
  • Occasional lag and server issues
  • Vehicles are difficult to control
  • Lack of variety in terms of weapons and maps
  • Learning curve can be steep for new players

Titanfall 2 takes the original sci-fi shooter that was released two years ago and extends on the multiplayer premise that it pioneered. It also includes a terrific single-player story and serves as a striking reminder of how talented this group of seasoned gunslingers truly is. Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a significantly improved single-player experience, Respawn Entertainment’s campaign mode for the game was the first of its kind to have an engaging storyline.

Titanfall 2 provides a tremendous amount of gratification regardless of whether you are playing as a Pilot on foot or inside the cockpit of a Titan; nonetheless, the interaction between man and machine is what makes it such an expertly constructed shooter. Release DateNovember 19, 2021
Developer/PublisherDICE
Gameplay TypeFPS Multiplayer only

The Portal mode in Battlefield 2042 is where the game’s true value lies. It functions more like an expansive playground than a predetermined mode and gives players the chance to design their own adventures, gameplay modes, or even new game rules overall. It allows you to choose the kind of Battlefield that you want to play, cramming a significant amount of the historical history of the franchise into one enormous developer toolkit.

Although the combat and the best weapons in Battlefield 2042 and Modern Warfare 2 are roughly equivalent in terms of their level of severity, the former is set in the near future while the latter is based on contemporary military norms. This has nothing to do with whether or not it is a good thing; rather, it simply refers to the universe in which both of these games take place.

Battlefield 2042 makes a lot of different attempts, but only a few of them are really innovative and deserving of praise. As a result of Battlefield 2042’s lackluster debut, which was plagued with issues, the game’s troubled servers have gained widespread notoriety. You simply need to be ready to push through the problems in order to have any chance of having fun here, despite the fact that there are certain flaws that are more on the surface.

Our Battlefield 2042 page contains all the useful guides, game settings and news on the game so don’t miss reading it.

Pros

  • Fast-paced, intense multiplayer gameplay
  • Cutting-edge visuals
  • Large selection of maps and game modes

  • Unique environmental hazards
  • Destructible environments
  • Innovative vehicle combat

Cons
