Return to Monkey Island is a point-and-click adventure title that made its comeback after nearly two decades and is sweeping the charts in the genre on Steam. The joyous sense of nostalgia seeing Guybrush again has hardcore fans ecstatic, while newcomers can easily jump into it without having played the prior titles. If you pre-ordered Return to Monkey Island, there is a chance that you might’ve received the horse armor item in-game.

These bonuses can include helpful items or accessories to help you get a head start in the game, while at other times, they may as well be there for cosmetic purposes by customizing your character’s appearance. But on rare occasions, the developers may just pull a prank on the player base, which can be either hilarious or foolish depending on your mindset, but we would prefer the former here.

Even during the release date trailer of Return to Monkey Island, the item is hilariously mentioned at the very end on how it contributes nothing to the gameplay or puzzles and pretty much just exists in your inventory.

Point and Click video games are pretty much a niche genre, but the rare exception of Return to Monkey Island proves that the genre still thrives in the day when renowned AAA titles are taking over the industry.
