How To Find Coffee Shop Safe Code In Modern Warfare 2

Learn how to find the Safe Code in the Coffee Shop and how to unlock it

The “Gentleman Thief” achievement and trophy are unlocked by opening the three safes in MW2. One of the Safes is in the Coffee Shop room, which this guide will discuss. You have to find out the Coffee Shop safe code in Modern Warfare 2 to open the safe.

The 13th and the most difficult mission in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign is called Alone. As the mission’s name implies, you, or your character Soap, are by yourself on a wet night in Las Almas’ streets.

In Alone, you must navigate the terrain of Las Almas while attempting to return to Ghost without being assassinated by the Shadow Company. You can hear Ghost over the radio, and you can see plenty of Shadow Company mercenaries and numerous dead or dying villagers.

Except for the dead bodies you are accompanied by, you are entirely alone. The key point is that you begin the level without any weapons, which is really simply a pretext for introducing the terrible crafting system from MW2. So gather some common home items and a roll of duct tape to get into the mission.

  • There is a certain combination that will unlock the safe, and it cannot be opened before that.
  • You can pick up the Throwing Knife and the Silenced 0.5 GS pistol.

You could come across locked safes in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 single-player campaign. These safes include practical tools that will make it much easier for you to execute the tasks of each assignment. You’ll need to look for special safe combinations in order to unlock it.

Finding The Coffee Shop

Well, the coffee shop is a type of room in a building with the Green Door. You want to go there to find a decent amount of loot like Adrenaline Shots, Explosives, Shotgun, and Knives.

Mostly you’ll be going in there for the Safe with the loots. So what you have to do in order to get them is NOT to open the green door first. It is trapped, and you will easily get caught in the explosion and get yourself killed.

Window Of The Building

Don’t worry since there is another way to go into the building. Go around the building and find a window there. Jump inside the house and deactivate the boobie trap. You get a shotgun when you deactivate the boobie trap, AND you don’t die cool, right? Yes, it’s cool.

Move upstairs and try to find a door at the very end of the corridor. There is barely any light except the flash, so you have to look for it. After finding the door, open it, and a man will fall, dying and asking for help. As a cold-hearted man, you completely ignore it and move on from the door. You can open the box on the right with a pry tool to get some loot.

After you have made that, move forward to find yourself in the Coffee Shop. You will know you are there when a funny conversation between Ghost and Soap happens. Soap says that he is in the coffee shop, and Ghost replies, “Get Us A Tea”. We cannot really say the next bit, so you have to play the game to find out.

The Safe

There will be a white door in the room that says “No Entry” so you enter. You enter by prying open the door with your pry tool. After opening the door, you will see a computer, and beside the computer, you will find the safe. You have to find the Coffee Shop Safe code in Modern Warfare 2 to open the safe.

Finding The Safe Code

Once you interact with the safe, you can see it is locked. You have to unlock it with a code. Most of the time, players waste time finding the code throughout the house, but it is literally in front of them. You will find a Calendar hung above the computer.

Thankfully, the safe’s owner had the incredibly unoriginal notion of using their own date of birth as their safe code and had written it on the calendar with their birthday inscribed on it.

The day is October 10, 2020, and it is marked on the calendar with the number 40 written next to it. Therefore, someone’s birthdate must be October 10, 1980, if they turn 40 on that day in 2020. So the Coffee Shop safe code in Modern Warfare 2 becomes 10-10-80

Inside The Safe

You will see a bunch of cash that you cannot pick up. What you can pick up, though, are the Throwing Knife and the Silenced 0.5 GS pistol. They will help you greatly in the mission ahead.

Final Words

Alone is a very big mission in Modern Warfare, but quests like Finding the Coffee Shop Safe Code in Modern Warfare 2 can be fun. It is really well-designed, making it fun to roam around and explore things. The loot in the safes is important, so make sure you do not miss out on any of the safes in-game.
