The water wheel puzzle is the first puzzle in Sunset dungeon that you will come across in the first biome of Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope. You will need to get through this puzzle and progress to the next few ones, such as the riddle of Temple of Sunrise, to make the progression. Clearing the water puzzle is much easier than most puzzles in the game. All you need to do is make way for the water to pass by, clearing the choke points.

Solving Water Wheel Puzzle

There are three choke points that you will notice when you reach the water wheel puzzle room, as shown in the image we captured. You will be able to see a water drain from which the water needs to flow. However, the 3 choke points hinder the motion of water from one point to the location of the water wheel. Clearing the choke points by moving the blocks will allow you to ensure the motion of water and solve this puzzle.

The first choke point, or the block, is pretty easy to figure out as it is just a single object hindering the movement of water. You can clearly see the space where you have to move the block so that water goes through the drain. Here is an image for your reference indicating the start point of solving the water wheel puzzle in the game.

The second choke point, as you can see in the image here, contains 2 blocks that need moving. What you need to do is slide the farthest block into the empty housing. Next, the block that hinders the movement of water should be moved to the location where the first block was. Assuming you’ve cleared both water blockages so that the water can flow from one point to the water wheel, now let’s move on to solving the puzzle for the third location.

The third choke point contains 3 objects that require moving in a certain way so that you restore the flow of water through the drain. The task can be a little tedious if you begin by moving the wrong block.

What you need to do is separate the 2 blocks, as shown in the image here, that are sitting back to back with each other. Once you’ve done that, you will create room for the third block to be relocated.

After that, push the third block down so that all 3 objects sit in a row. Now, move the 2 blocks that are adjacent to the water drain in the opposite direction.

This will ensure that the flow is not obstructed and the water passes through this choke point. You can see the images here, just in case you don’t understand the instructions via text.

Dropping The Bridge

Once you’ve restored the flow of water from one point to the other where the water wheel starts moving, a bridge will drop. It will be your passage for moving towards the next part of Sunset Temple dungeon, where you need to complete another puzzle so that you can get spark power and a planetary coin as a reward.
