1. Monkey D. Luffy
Luffy has both New World Challenge and Traveling Outfits.
New World Challenge Outfit
The New World Challenge Outfit of Luffy is the default outfit and the one that you start the game with. It is actually Luffy’s post-time skip outfit after two years of training with Rayleigh.
This outfit is a sign of Luffy’s adventure in the New World in the manga, and the developers have done justice in capturing the design of the post-time skip outfit. Again, the outfit is unlocked by default, and you won’t have to do anything to unlock it in the game.
Traveling Outfit
The Traveling Outfit paints a picture of Luffy before the time skip. It is probably one of the most nostalgic outfits in the game, as Luffy wore this outfit for almost half of the story since the beginning. It is a sign of his adventures through exotic islands like Skypiea and Water 7.
Unfortunately, to obtain the Traveling Outfit for Luffy, you must have pre-ordered either the standard or deluxe edition of One Piece Odyssey. There is currently no other way of obtaining the outfit in the game.
2. Vinsmoke Sanji
Sanji has both New World Challenge and Traveling Outfits.
New World Challenge Outfit
Sanji is the cook of the straw hats, and his default outfit has always been classy both in pre and post-time skip. The New World Challenge Outfit is his post-time skip outfit that you can equip in the game. It is actually unlocked by default, and you don’t need to do anything extra to unlock the outfit. The post-time skip that the game has adapted is the one that Sanji wears in Fishman Island, Punkhazard, and Dressrosa Arcs.
Traveling Outfit
Sanji’s pre-time skip outfit is his Traveling Outfit in the game. It is the outfit he has been wearing for the entirety of the first half of the story. Again, It is very nostalgic since Sanji is part of the original crew assembled in the East Blue Saga. Lastly, this outfit can only be accessed if pre-ordered in any game edition.
3. Roronoa Zoro
Zoro has both New World Challenge and Traveling Outfits.
New World Challenge Outfit
Zoro also trained for two years under Mihawk before arriving in the New World. He also changed his outfit with his training before arriving at the Sabaody Archipelago. And the new outfit definitely looks cool on Zoro. It gives him more of a samurai look than before. Thankfully, the New World Outfit is Zoro’s default outfit and is not locked behind any paywall or side quest.
Traveling Outfit
Traveling Outfit of Zoro is his original outfit before the time skip and the outfit he became infamous for being a bounty hunter. Just like Sanji, Zoro wears this outfit for the entire first half of the story, which is why it also carries that nostalgic value. To access the Traveling Outfit for Zoro, you must pre-order One Piece Odyssey. The Traveling Outfit is a pre-order bonus, and there is no other way of getting it.
4. Usopp
Usopp has both New World Challenge and Traveling Outfits, plus an additional special outfit that you get by purchasing the expansion pack or the game’s deluxe edition.
New World Challenge Outfit
Like other straw hats, the New World Challenge Outfit of Usopp is the post-timeskip outfit he wears after two years of training. Usopp begins his new world journey with this outfit in the story. Additionally, the New World Challenge Outfit is Usopp’s default outfit in the game. There is nothing you need to do to get the outfit, as it will be available from the beginning of the game.
Traveling Outfit
Usopp’s pre-time skip outfit is his Traveling Outfit in the game. It is another nostalgic outfit for long-term fans of the story. Usopp has also been wearing that outfit for the first half of the story. Unfortunately, if you didn’t pre-order the game, then there is no other way of obtaining the Traveling Outfit currently in the game.
Now, if you were fortunate enough to pre-order, the outfit will also be unlocked at the beginning of the game.
Sogeking Outfit
Unlike the other straw hats in the game, Usopp has a special third outfit. It is actually a clever reference to Usopp’s Water 7 personality or the personality he tried to impersonate.
Fans of the story will definitely remember Sogeking as one of the most iconic characters in One Piece. And the developers have ported that Sogeking Outfit of Usopp into the game. However, you need to buy either the Deluxe Edition or the Expansion Pack to get the Sogeking Outfit of Usopp.
5. Nami
Nami has both New World Challenge and Traveling Outfits.
New World Challenge Outfit
Nami’s post-time skip look has been ported as the New World Challenge Outfit in the game. Additionally, it is the outfit that is unlocked at the very beginning. It is actually Nami’s base outfit in the game that she has been wearing for almost three arcs post-time skip. If you have purchased any edition of the game, then this outfit will be unlocked for you to use.
Traveling Outfit
Nami’s pre-timeskip outfit is known as the Traveling Outfit in the game. Nami is also part of the original five strawhats assembled in the East Blue Sage of the story.
That is why the Traveling Outfit of Nami has that nostalgia and most fans will be compelled to pre-order because of these pre-time skip outfits. And that is the only method of obtaining her Traveling Outfit, which is by pre-ordering either the standard or the deluxe edition of One Piece Odyssey.
6. Nico Robin
Robin has both New World Challenge and Traveling Outfits.
New World Challenge Outfit
Robin is not part of the original five straw hats. However, she also received two different outfits. The first one is the New World Challenge Outfit, Robin’s default outfit in the game, and it resembles her post-time skip look. The pre and post-timeskip look of Robin is extremely distinguishable, unlike other strawhats. This outfit of Robin will be unlocked once you start the game.
Traveling Outfit
Some fans will prefer the pre-timeskip look of Robin, and for them, the developers have given the choice of using the Traveling Outfit. However, there is only one method of unlocking the Traveling Outfit in the game: if you have pre-ordered the game. If you’ve missed the pre-order, there is no known method to obtain these outfits within the game.
7. Tony Tony Chopper
Chopper has both New World Challenge and Traveling Outfits.
New World Challenge Outfit
Chopper is the last strawhat with two different outfits in the game. The first is the New World Challenge Outfit, which portrays his post-time skip story design. The New World Challenge Outfit is also unlocked at the beginning of the game, as it is Chopper’s default outfit. Thankfully, you don’t have to do anything to unlock the outfit.
Traveling Outfit
Chopper’s pre-timeskip look has been ported as the Traveling Outfit for him. It is the same outfit that Chopper has been wearing till the end of the Marineford Arc. Unfortunately, the outfit itself is available only to those players who pre-ordered either the standard or deluxe edition of the game. You cannot obtain the outfit in the game if you have missed the pre-order.
8. Franky
Franky only has the New World Challenge Outfit.
New World Challenge Outfit
Franky only has one outfit in One Piece Odyssey, which is his default outfit. Additionally, it is not blocked behind a paywall as well. The game doesn’t even allow you to change Franky’s outfits since he only has his post-time skip costume in the game.
It is disappointing that Franky’s pre-time skip look was not ported, as it vastly differs from his post-time skip design. But for now, the New World Challenge Outfit is the only outfit of Franky in the game.
9. Brook
Brook Only has the New World Challenge Outfit.
New World Challenge Outfit
Just like Franky, Brook also has a single New World Challenge Outfit. His pre-time skip costume has also not been ported into the game, and the post-time skip look is his only outfit. Again, it is Brook’s default outfit in the game, and there is nothing that you need to do to unlock it. This is the same outfit that Brook has been wearing for the majority of the second half of the story, except for the Wano Arc.
How To Equip Outfits
Changing Outfits in the game is not seamless, and you actually need to follow a few steps to change the outfit of a strawhat. Firstly, as shown in the image above, you need to set up a camp at any campsite. Once you set up the camp, go near the tent.
You should be able to change the outfit of the strawhats by interacting with the tent. The outfits can also be altered at a tavern in the game. You can either set up a camp or go to a tavern to change your outfits.
