Quest For Oregano And Basil 

The quest that you will be taking on requires Basil and Oregano as key items are alarm welcome, and it is a part of the Goofy questline. It is a fetch quest, and you will need to do some cooking for Goofy. 

• One of the first characters in the game allows you to collect Oregano and Basil early on.
• Completing the task helps in identifying various herbs in the game.
• Finish the preceding quest, “Fishing Expedition,” before taking on this one.

Starting The Quest 

In order to initiate the quest, you will have to go and interact with Goofy. After going through some dialogue options, Goofy will ask if you would like to cook some dishes with him. 

In case you agree to cook with him, he will task you to find 3 Oregano and 3 Basil. It is important that you collect both of these ingredients in the required amounts so that you can cook the perfect dish with Goofy. Let’s see where you can find both of these herbs in the game. 

Oregano Location 

First of all, you need to collect Oregano for the recipe, and you need 3 Oregano for the quest. Unfortunately, there is only one resource of Oregano as of now in the game.

• Oregano resources are exclusive to the Plaza area in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
• Access an extensive guide on obtaining worms in the game.
• To find Oregano, head north from the Plaza and locate stairs leading to a fountain.
• Look for tall plants resembling small trees near the fountain; these are Oregano.
• At least two Oregano plants can be found in this region.
• Oregano spawns randomly in the Plaza area, particularly near the fountain.
• Once you’ve gathered 3 Oregano, the next objective is to find Basil in the game.

Location Of Basil 

Basil is one of the most common herbs that can be found in the Peaceful Meadow area of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Basil grows exclusively in the Peaceful Meadow, and you will not find it anywhere else. After you have collected Oregano, open your map. From the Plaza, you need to head in the South direction.  

Furthermore, the players will also have to descend the stairs that lead towards the House of Goofy. As soon as you enter the Peaceful Meadow region, you need to turn right and head straight towards the Tower of Merlin. Now look for a small size plant that is darker in appearance.  

The intense green color of Basil differentiates it from Oregano. Try to look for as many resources of Basil as you venture throughout this area. It is important to collect more business so that you can use it for your recipes. 

Cooking A Meal Using Oregano Or Basil 

• Collect Oregano and Basil for Goofy’s quest or try recipes at your house.
• Ensure the oven in your house is unlocked for cooking.
• Interact with the oven, select one Oregano and one Basil, and click “Start Cooking.”
• Cook Hors d’Oveures, a basic meal requiring Coal Ore from Rock Spots.
• Claim your reward after completing Goofy’s quest.
• Begin the next quest, “Photographic Memory.”
