Torbjorn’s character design depicts him as a dwarf-like character, but you shouldn’t let his appearance deceive you. He is one of the best damage-type heroes in the game and has a variety of tools at his disposal. Using the right strategies, you can dominate matches while playing with Torbjorn.

As for his story, Torbjorn is actually an engineer in the game and has invented a plethora of weapons and items. He deals with everything based on logic, and his inventions make the best use of technology in the game. It becomes more evident when he uses his abilities.

Lastly, Torbjorn is a damage hero and is best used offensively. However, he has a certain set of gadgets that can be implemented long-range. Additionally, his main weapon, known as the Rivet Gun, actually has two different modes that you can toggle between.

Torbjorn’s Weapons

Torbjorn is a damage hero with two different weapons in the game. His main weapon is the Rivet Gun, whereas his secondary weapon is actually a melee known as the Forge Hammer. So, he is a versatile hero with two different weapons for different situations. Now I will discuss both of these weapons in complete detail.

Rivet Gun

• Appearance: Resembles a small shotgun.

2. Maintain Distance: Utilize the Rivet Gun’s long-range firing mode to stay out of immediate danger while dealing consistent damage. This tactic also provides an easier retreat if the situation becomes unfavorable.

As far as we’ve played, there don’t seem to be any major changes that have been made to Torbjorn in the game. However, his weapons have been tweaked, but these tweaks are not major. They are so minor that fans of the original game might not even feel a difference.

My Thoughts When Playing With Torbjorn

Playing Torbjorn in OW2 can be slightly more complicated. How a player is supposed to play Torbjorn is highly dependent on the composition of the enemy team. When the enemy team is running longed-ranged heroes such as Widowmaker, then I play a bit more aggressively than normal and try to close the gap between myself and the enemies. As such, I would recommend this exact approach to anyone trying out this hero in Overwatch 2.

However, if the enemies are running a dive composition such as Reinhardt, Tracer, Genji, or any other heroes like that, then you, like me, should try to deal damage while keeping your distance. Once they dive in, make sure that you have the turret in position and play defensive.
