A Plague Tale Requiem: How To Get Bracer Secret Armor

There is a secret bracer armor tucked away behind the Windmill puzzle in A Plague tale Requiem’s chapter 9. If you are already there, then you should not move on to the next area without solving this little puzzle piece and obtaining the special armor piece in the game. Switching Off Windmills 1 And 2

Before you go left from the location as we have shown above, continue taking the stairs on your right, and you will find four windmills in a row. Each windmill has a number given to it in Roman language, and you can see that as well by looking right above its entrance door. 

What you need to do is take the stairs and run towards the first windmill. The entrance to it is not blocked by anything so just interact with the door, climb up the stairs, and you will find a starting mechanism at the far end of the wall. Here is an image for your reference. 

Interact with the mechanism, and it will stop Windmill 1 from spinning its blades. This is the cue that you’ve progressed through the first part of the puzzle. Now, get out through the entrance, and you will see the second Windmill right in front of you, whose door is connected with a rope, as also shown in the image here.  

This time around, you can’t just show up at the door and enter the control room of the second Windmill. Instead, you will find a rope connected to some objects blocking the entrance to the area. Move towards the rope and interact with it. Amicia will start pulling it, and in a few seconds, you will be able to remove the contraption so that you and Hugo can go inside it by crouching the entrance.

Assuming you’ve successfully pulled off the first part of the windmill puzzle in A Plague Tale Requiem, now you just need to complete one more step and get access to the hidden cave.

Switching On Windmills 3 And 4

After coming out of Windmill 2, you will find Windmill 3 in front of you. By default, this Windmill is set to be switched on, and you don’t need to do anything. So, switching on the Windmill 4 is the only piece of the puzzle left now. 

You will find Windmill 4 at the very far end of the third one. Once again, entering the control room of this one is not just interacting with the door, but you need to make a detour.

Go to the back side of Windmill 4, and you will need to crawl under a scaffolding, albeit a small one. After that, climb the stairs, and you will find a window giving you a good look at Windmill 4’s door. Use your ranged weapon to hit the contraption that is barging into the entrance door, as seen in the image here. 

After you’re done with it, come down from the scaffolding, and run back to the entrance of Windmill 4. You can now easily enter it as you’ve already removed the lock that was barging your entrance to the control room. Interact with the mechanism of Windmill 4 and switch it on.

Follow the path, and it will guide you to a ladder leading to a cave’s entrance. Once you’re there, climb down the ladder and start taking the stairs that descend further down into the cave. 

When you are about to reach the bracer armor’s location, Hugo will ask, “is it real?” a question from Amicia, hinting that you are near the secret armor piece. Finding the location is pretty much like following a path, and you really can’t miss it. 

Once you’ve reached the place, the Bracer armor piece can be found hidden in a chest at the far end of the cave. Open it and obtain the secret armor.

There are other tools and pieces in nearby chests for you to obtain, so make sure you open and collect those as well before you leave so that you can upgrade Amicia’s abilities and skills. 

Secret Bracer Armor 

Once you’ve acquired the armor piece, Amicia will equip it instantly. This gives her the ability to recover her health from enemy attacks at a much faster rate. 

Melee and ranged combat with human enemies can be tough at times, especially when you get multiple hits and the health regenerates at a sluggish pace. After equipping this secret armor piece, hopefully, things will change and make your further journey easier in the game.
