The best part about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is collecting all the different Pokémon in the game. While you will also get to craft and explore the world of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the true essence of the game lies in the challenge of finding different Pokémon.

Our guide today is about one such Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet, and Violet called Lechonk. So let’s take a look at how you can get the Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and how you can evolve it in the game.

Where To Find Lechonk

The best part about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is that there are a lot of New Generation 9 Species that you can catch. You can also battle with them, and some of the newest Pokémon include the Paldea forms of Tauros and Wooper.

Another great addition is Lechonk, Greavard, and Smoliv. The loaf Pokémon has been very popular ever since the trailer of the game was released. The adorable Pokémon’s popularity was mainly due to its name and appearance.

The best part about the Pokémon is probably the fact that it comes in five evolutions that are gender divergent. You will be able to evolve it into Oinkologne further on in the game. Therefore, the Pokémon trainers will have a diverse range of Lechonk to choose from and train according to their preferences.

Lechonk is a normal type Pokémon. It stands at the height of 1’8” with a weight of 22.5 lbs. The ability of the loaf Pokémon includes Aroma Veil and Gluttony. Moreover, the Pokémon possess a powerful sense of smell.

This allows him to eat only the best berries as well as the wild grasses found in the world of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. However, due to their dining habits, he radiates a bit of an unusual smell. This smell repulses many bug Pokémon in the game. Whenever it is attacked by an enemy, it will become chaotic and will charge forward as a result of it.

While it might seem chubby, it is actually pretty strong with powerful muscles as a result of walking around in a constant search of food. All these traits make him an extremely hard Pokémon to find. But with thorough searching, you will be able to get Lechonk in some of the locations mentioned below.

How To Catch Lechonk

Catching Lechonk is not that hard. After you have obtained the Pokémon early on in the game, you need to start your first battle while having Nemona on your side.

You will have to fight Lechonk in Poco Path. Now all you need to do is catch it with a Poke Ball. In case you fail to do so, don’t worry, as you will be able to obtain Lechonk in that area as well.

Generally, it is most commonly found in the Paldea region of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. However, make sure to take a look at some of the locations we have mentioned above as well in the southern and southwestern areas in case you are unable to find them in Paldea.

How To Evolve Lechonk Into Oinkologne

It is a normal type Pokémon which is an evolved version of Lechonk. The major difference between the two is probably their size. However, keep in mind that the female and male versions of the Pokémon vary in colors. The female is brown in color, while the male has a dark blue-grey color.

You will be able to evolve Lechonk into Oinkologne by reaching Level 18 through training. If you want to reach level 18 quickly in Pokémon, we recommend that you train as much as you can.

Training

The best place to train is definitely Area One and its surrounding region, where you might also be able to find Lechonk himself. In order to unlock the region, you just have to select your starter in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

The best part about the training room is that there are a lot of rival trainers skilled enough for you to farm a large source of XP for Lechonk with it. Therefore, you will be able to progress with Lechonk fairly fast through training.

But that is not all. You will also get a chance to obtain several other Pokémon while looking for Lechonk. It is no doubt that Lechonk is one of the best Pokémon to obtain early on in the game. You will be able to overpower other Pokémon during battles by learning moves like Dig. These moves are available before evolution and will help you out a lot throughout the game. Moves like Dig can be unlocked at Level 17.

Type Of Oinkologne

The types of Oinkologne that you will get after evolving it to level 18 will depend upon the gender of Lechonk you evolved. Therefore the outcome will be different depending on whether you evolved male or female. There are distinctive visual differences between male and female Oinkologne. However, the stats and attack power of both will remain the same regardless of gender.

The hidden ability of both, even the evolved form, is called Thick Fat. The form is extremely powerful and will increase the survivability chances of your Pokemon. Thick Fat is capable of reducing damage from attacks that are Ice Type and Fire Type. It is capable of reducing the damage taken by 50% in the game.

However, keep in mind that you will have to invest a lot of time before you are able to discover this ability. The male form of Oinkologne possesses abilities like the Lingering Aroma And Gluttony.

By using the ability, any berries that it has held earlier will be utilized whenever the health of the male Oinkologne drops below 50%. Furthermore, the lingering aroma ability will change the challenging pokémon’s ability whenever it comes in physical contact with them.

On the other hand, we have the female form of Lechonk, which has the Aroma Veil Ability instead of the Lingering Aroma Ability. The ability will help the female Lechonk from certain attacks, especially the ones that block some moves off Lechonk.

It is up to the trainers to decide if they want to evolve the female version or the male version. It entirely depends upon the preferences of the trainer and the abilities they are looking to utilize in their gameplay.

Moves Of Oinkologne

The best part of the evolved form called Oinkologne of Lechonk is that it is capable of dealing a lot of damage to opposing Pokémon. Even though it is just a normal type of Pokémon, there are some great moves for it to learn.

In order to learn these moves, you just need to level up Oinkologne in the game. While using the moves, make sure that you use them in the best way possible to deal maximum damage. A good strategy is to use moves that are the same as the Pokémon.
