For Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans who were looking to catch a Shiny Pokemon in the game, there has been an Exploit going on that allows you to farm Shiny Pokemon in a much easier way. By using the Exploit, the players will be able to obtain and capture the rare Shiny Pokemon found in the game without much effort.

Shiny Pokemon are super rare versions of a particular Pokemon. They appear in a different color scheme, and the odds of getting a Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are 1 in 4096.

Shiny Exploit In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet

The Exploit was first brought to light by a YouTube channel called Austin John plays. He says that there are some conditions that should be followed if a player wants to perform this Shiny Exploit to obtain the Shiny Pokemon. 

The glitch will only work near an area where you won’t have to face a loading screen. These areas include an open town where you can enter without going through a loading screen in the game. The best part about the Exploit is that you will be able to increase your chances from getting 1 Shiny Pokemon in 4096 Shiny to 1 Shiny Pokemon in 1365.

So the glitch is a massive advantage for players looking to catch them all. While you can use the Shiny Exploit method by stacking it with consumables and increasing your Shiny chances, you can perform the whole process without using the consumables as well.

There is another method to get Shiny in the game as well. The only thing it actually requires is mass outbreaks in the game. There are two ways of performing that Exploit, and below, you will see both of them. 

Method 1 

The first method is by the YouTube channel called Austin John Plays, and it will only work near an area where there is no loading screen upon entering it.

When you discover a Shiny Pokemon or a Pokemon that you want to duplicate, you need to catch it and go to a town where there is no loading screen, such as an Open Town. This method is incidentally for duplicating Shiny Pokemon or any kind of Pokemon that you want.

How To Duplicate Shiny

After getting the Pokemon and reaching the town, the name of the Pokemon will appear on the screen. When this happens, you need to save the game at this point and turn it off. Now you need to load the game again.

After loading the game, the Shiny Pokemon that you have caught before will appear in your inventory.

But that is not all, as you will also be able to get the same Shiny Pokemon in the field there. Thus by doing this process, you have duplicated the Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. After catching the second Shiny Pokemon, you need to go back to the town.

After doing so, you will have to save and turn off the game and repeat the whole process. Therefore, you will be able to catch the Shiny Pokemon and duplicate them by using the method. 

The method probably works because Pokemon Scarlet and Violet refresh the rare and wild Pokemon whenever you leave the town. So any Shiny or normal Pokemon that you have caught before will be kept in your storage while the same variant will spawn where you previously got it before.

So whenever you reload the game, any active wild Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are refreshed again, including the one you have gotten already. 

There is a high chance that the Exploit will be fixed in the future patch updates of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Because so many players duplicate their Shiny, it will essentially ruin the fun of finding the Shiny Pokemon in the game. So we recommend that you use the Exploit while you still can. 

Method 2 

The second method for the Shiny Exploit was explained in a video posted by a YouTuber called PhillyBeatzU. The YouTuber explains in detail the Shiny Picnic Reset Method, which will allow you to obtain Shiny Pokemon early on in the game.

The method allows you to farm rare Shiny Pokemon, which can be a game changer early on in the game. The method is quite easy and won’t require much of your time. All you have to do is go to the areas of Mass Outbreak, where you will be able to knock out large groups of a single Pokemon. You need to knock out around 60 of these Pokemon.

After that, you will be able to get a Shiny Pokemon in the game. The players will also have to open and close their Picnic again and again. Doing so will allow the Mass Outbreak Pokemon groups to spawn in the game and increase the chances of getting the Shiny variant of the Pokemon. 

Below is the detailed process of how the Shiny Exploit works in the game. 

How To Use The Shiny Farming Exploit  

First, you need to go to an area where there is a Mass Outbreak. To find an area with a mass outbreak, all you need to do is open your map by using the Y button and then zoom in and out. When you see a flashing Pokemon icon, it indicates that there is a Mass Outbreak in that area. 

• You can zoom in and out by pressing ZL or ZR. 
• After finding the pink Pokemon flashing icon, you need to set the waypoint to that location. Keep in mind that it can also be a question mark on your map. 
• To set the waypoint to the location, you need to press the A button. 
• You can also select the Feather Icon that is near the location. Doing so will allow you to take a Flying Taxi to the location. For convenience, players can also select a Pokemon center closest to the location. 
• After you have successfully arrived at that location, press the R button. Doing so will allow your Pokemon to fight the Mass Outbreak of the Pokemon group. 
• Fight at least 60 Pokemon in that region. 
• Press X again and set up a Picnic in a flat area. 
• Now press Y and select the option to Pack Up And Go. 
• Now you need to Scan the whole region and look for any Shiny variant in that location.

Keep repeating these steps in the order listed until you find a Shiny Pokemon.
