Once the players are inside the lab, they will also see two huge machines of different types. These machines play a huge role in upgrading the equipment in the game. The machines are called:

  1. The Refinery
  2. The Fabricator

Using Fabricator

Fabricator and Refinery both work together. Firstly, let’s see how the players can use the Fabricator in Slime Rancher the upgrading their items. A fabricator is used in the game so that players can see how many upgrades are needed and what kinds of items they need to buy for that upgrade.

Moreover, it also includes different types of materials needed for buying the equipment for an upgrade. The materials can be either Plorts or even Newbucks. The machine is very different from the Refinery; however, it does have a strong connection to it.

Using Refinery

Players make use of Refinery with it be input to all the different resources which are needed to be bought with the help of the Fabricator. So, if the players are interested in buying some items or upgrading their equipment, they should set all the materials they need to buy inside the Refinery.

Moreover, they can then get it moved to the side of the Fabricator so that the whole process of buying can be executed. However, the players need to be extra vigilant as they put the equipment inside the Refinery to go ahead with their upgrades. That is because once the players have placed the items inside, they will be unable to take them out or even get them back to the inventory.

Upgrades To Buy

Players can upgrade to buy equipment in a very large quantity in Slime Rancher 2 with the help of the Fabricator. Every different type of upgrade has its own separate cost from another one. Also, they are all used in ways differently.

As an example, say that you require upgrades for health, energy, some expenditure, and even storage. But, with that comes the feasibility of you buying a jetpack or even an emitter of the pulse wave. Both of these can be found in the Fabricator in Slime Rancher 2 for upgrading.
