How To Craft Power Core In Slime Rancher 2 [Guide]

Slime Rancher 2 has finally been released and players are absolutely loving it. Out of many amazing things that make Slime Rancher so awesome, building equipment that makes the game easier and more fun is another one. The power core in Slime Rancher 2 is also one of those pieces of equipment that make your life easier by a mile.

However, acquiring the Power Core is not so easy as it requires you to do a bit of chore work first. But trust us when we say it will all be worth your time in the end. Now the real questions are why is the Power core so important? And how to unlock it? Well, our guide answers both of those questions so without further ado let’s jump straight into it.

What Is A Power Core?

The Power Core is essentially a stamina enhancer that basically allows you to run for longer periods of time without having to stop for rest. That makes the power core extremely important, especially for the speed runners.

How To Craft The Power Core?

When it comes to obtaining the Power Core, you don’t have to find it, rather you have to build it in the lab using the 2 required components. What are those components?  The first one is Newbucks and the second is Cotton Plorts. You need 450 Newbucks and 10 Cotton Plorts to build a Power Core. Let’s discuss how to obtain each of them in detail.

Getting The Newbucks

Having abundant Newbucks in Slime Rancher 2 is crucial to surviving In the game because it is the money of Slime Rancher 2. So you won’t need them just for the Power Core but also for a number of other things. Now how do you get Newbucks in Slime Rancher 2? Well, the primary and probably the most efficient way for getting Newbucks in Slime Rancher 2 is by selling plorts in the Plort Market.

However, one thing to keep in mind when selling Plorts in Slime Rancher 2 is that the Plort Market price fluctuates according to different types of Plorts. So be mindful of that when selling Plorts because if done correctly, you can get a big boost in the number of Newbucks you get. But if you fail to do so then you are at risk of wasting your Plorts.

Another method for getting Newbucks in Slime Rancher 2 is feeding meat to Lucky Slimes. These Lucky Slimes are rare to spawn and even that too only in specific locations on Rainbow Island. So this method is not so efficient.

Stacking On Cotton Plorts

Just like the Newbucks the Cotton Plorts are also a must-have in Slime Rancher 2. Because they are not only needed for crafting upgrades like the Power Core but selling them in the Plort market is also the best way for earning Newbucks. So how do you obtain the Cotton Plorts in Slime Rancher 2? The best and the only way to get plorts in Slime Rancher 2 is by feeding slimes their preferred foods.

Right now we are talking about obtaining Cotton Plorts so obviously you will need to feed a Cotton Slime its favorite food. The Cotton Slime in Slime Rancher 2 only prefers water lettuce so get yourself some water lettuce first. Now finding water lettuce can be a bit hard but it’s still possible. Some of them are located in the Central Part of the Rainbow field zone.

Other areas in Slime Rancher 2 where you can find Water Lettuces are northeast of Mobile Refinery, they are overlooking the ocean, and the water lettuces clusters around the Cotton Gordo Slime. The last thing we would like to mention regarding Cotton Plorts is that you can’t just use them directly from your Slimes for crafting purposes.

Rather you have to bank the plorts you obtain from slimes to be able to use them for crafting purposes. In order to bank a plort, take it to the Refinery located in the underground lab below the Conservatory right beside the Fabricator. Once you are there with your plort, just fire it into the Refinery and you should be able to use it for crafting purposes.

Crafting The Power Core

Assuming you have collected 450 Newbucks and 10 Cotton Plorts by now, we are going to continue our guide and show you how to craft the Power Core upgrade.

Take both of your newly collected materials to the fabricator in the lab and craft the Power Core upgrade, that’s it. Like we said before, you can now run for longer periods of time without having to stop for rest and you can also use your jetpack for longer. So all your hard work was worth it in the end.
