Thunder Stone is one of the oldest Evolution Stones in the Pokemon world. It was introduced back in the 1st Generation and has now made its way to the latest Generation. The Thunder Stone is an evolution item in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that can be given to some special pokemon to make them evolve into their next form.

It is essential to have a wide variety of Pokemon types in your team while playing Scarlet and Violet. Therefore, every veteran trainer knows that an Electric-type is a must. Whereas on the other hand, if you’re someone who isn’t looking to, or can’t, evolve their in-team pokemon using the Thunder Stone, you can still get it to complete your Pokedex.

So, where exactly can you find the Thunder Stone in the Paldea Region? Luckily, there are a few places where you can acquire the Stone in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

First off, the easiest method to get the Thunder Stone is by purchasing it at the Delibird Presents Shop. However, this method will cost you money, so keep that in mind. Secondly, there is one more thing you need to fulfill before you can access the Thunder Stone in Delibird Presents Shop in Paldea.

To access the Delibird Presents Shops, you will first need to fully beat the first 3 Gyms in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This means you will need to defeat Katy the Bug-type Gym leader at Cortondo town; after then, you can head to Artazon town to beat the Grass-type Gym Leader Brassius. Lastly, you can claim the badge from Iono, the Electric-type Gym Leader in Levincia Town.

After you have successfully claimed these three badges, you will then be able to purchase various items at the Delibird Presents Shop. You can find these shops in Mesagoza, Levincia, and Cascarrafa. Once you enter the shop, pick the “General Goods” option. From the list, you can then scroll to the Thunder Stone and buy it for 3,000 Poke Dollars.

Pokedex Reward

You can also receive a Thunder Stone as a reward from Jacq. You won’t have to spend any money on this method, however, it does require a lot of hard work. Jacq is the homeroom Biology teacher at the Naranja/Uva Academy. He will give you rewards whenever you hit certain milestones while completing your Pokedex in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

One of these milestone rewards includes the Thunder Stone. Luckily, the criteria are quite easy to fulfill. You will need to complete 30 Pokedex Entries and then interact with Jacq, who will, in return, give you a Thunder Stone as a reward.

However, it will require you to get advanced traversal abilities for your mount pokemon by beating the Titans in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Since the area can not be reached right at the beginning of the game, therefore, you will need to wait a while before heading toward these places in Paldea.

With that said, the Thunder Stone can be found in the West Province (Area One). Next to the river bank, you will notice two Windmills. Both Windmills can be climbed by using the spiral staircase, and one of them has the Thunder Stone on the top floor inside a Pokeball

Porto Marinada Auction

Hence, you can drop by to check whether any auctioneer is bidding off a Thunder Stone. When you do find it, initiate the Auction, where you will face NPCs as your rival bidders.

After winning the bidding war, you will acquire the Thunder Stone from the Porto Marinada Auction center.
