S-Tier

All the S-tier guns that we have listed in our COD MW2 weapons tier list are the absolute best and are dominating the meta right now. Pick these weapons, and they’d perform exceptionally well with or without attachments. Of course, if you slot in attachments, you will improve the effectiveness of these guns significantly.

M4

A wide number of attachments are available for the M4 in Modern Warfare 2, allowing for extensive personalization options. Whether you need it for long-range killing or for close-quarters battle, the M4 will always play out in every situation.

The M4 is perhaps the best weapon in Modern Warfare 2 since it is useful in almost every situation the player may face. The versatility and flexibility that comes with the weapon are unparalleled in the current meta.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Vault Edition, all of the M4 Platform attachments are unlocked right away. You’ll need to be at least level 4 to unlock the ability to create unique loadouts for your weapons. Through the use of unique loadouts, you may modify every feature of your weapon to your liking.

Kastov 762

Best Kastov 762 SMG Class Setup Loadout Build
Kastov 762 [Image credits: eXputer]
The Kostov 762 assault rifle is an integral part of the AK family of weapons. It can fire 7.62 x 39mm rounds and has a huge caliber chamber, making it a potent weapon in the professional’s hands. However, the weapon’s accuracy and ability to regulate recoil are below par.

You can choose between full-auto and semi-auto fire at your leisure. However, you’ll be using the latter for short spurts to ensure accuracy in MW2.

Even though the Kastov 762 is one of the most powerful weapons in Modern Warfare 2, it doesn’t accomplish its job very effectively unless the right loadout attachments are put to it. Because of this, it’s important to use it in tandem with suitable weapon parts, perks, and other tactical equipment.

Kastov 762 Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 600 RPM
  • ADS Time: 270 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 590 m/s

TAQ-56

TAQ-56 [Image Captured By Us]
Expert Call of Duty streamers generally agree that the TAQ-56 is a weaker weapon than the Kastov 762. Despite these drawbacks, it is a powerful and reliable AR with a good time to kill and excellent handling metrics. This means that trying out different loadouts to see if you can find one that works well for you is time well spent.

The TAQ-56 gives benefits over both the Kastov and the M4, two other formidable weapons. When combined with one of the other two firearms, the AR is very portable. The TAQ-56 is comprehensive, so picking an AR among the several available is a question of taste.

The ratio of damage to recoil will be the main focus. The Kastov’s firepower is matched by its finicky control. This TAQ-56 loadout is the best we’ve seen so far because it strikes a perfect mix between little recoil and devastating stopping power, as will become clear in a moment.

TAQ-56 Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 625 RPM
  • ADS Time: 240 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 590 m/s
  • Ammo Count: 30
  • Sprint To Fire Time: 210 ms

  • Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
  • Ultimate Perk: Bird’s Eye

Lachmann Sub

Lachmann Sub in the Game
Lachmann Sub as Secondary Weapon [Image credit: eXputer]
One of the best submachine guns in the game is the Lachmann Sub or MP5. This is because of the weapon’s pinpoint precision. Even when unattached, you may rely on it to quickly secure the opponents.

The Lachmann Sub has a few little problems. The Attachments cannot be used to address these issues. For starters, we thought the gun’s relatively low damage range was the most important element.

If accuracy is important to you, the Lachmann Sub is a great option. It requires little effort to use as a submachine gun. The great majority of your bullets will enter their intended target if you aim down the sight.

The MP5 has several advantages when it comes to mobility. It’s a compact, lightweight submachine gun that’s easy to use.

Lachmann Sub Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 800 RPM
  • ADS Time: 200 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 540 m/s

FSS Hurricane

FSS Hurricane [Image Credit: eXputer]
As one of the most powerful SMGs in COD MW2, the FSS Hurricane can hold its own against the likes of the Lachmann Sub, VEL-46, MX9, and more. When fighting at close range, the FSS Hurricane is the preferred gun. It is a very useful SMG to have, including for medium-range encounters.

Just like AK-74u, the FSS Hurricane is a lightning-fast weapon capable of utterly destroying enemies up close and at medium range. The SMG has been a staple of Call of Duty games ever since the original Modern Warfare installment.

It is recommended that players reach FTAC Recon level 16 before attempting to unlock the FSS Hurricane in MW2.

FSS Hurricane Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 698 RPM
  • ADS Time: 240 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 680 m/s

Vaznev-9K

Vaznev-9K [Image Credit: eXputer]
The Vaznev-9K submachine gun (SMG) has a high rate of fire and excels in both close and medium-range combat, drawing comparisons to the AK-74u. Recoil is unavoidable when shooting rapidly. Thus, it’s important to have the correct equipment for your firearm.

The Vaznev 9k is part of the Kastovia weapon platform. Therefore, you’ll get your hands on another weapon to complete the setup. If you do, though, you will get access to it. Unlocking Kastov 74u requires you to reach level 15.

Many skilled Call of Duty streamers has settled on the Vaznev-9K as their preferred run-and-gun submachine gun. It took us a lot of multiplayer games with Vaznev-9K before we figured out why it’s so popular in the MP mode. We had to put this gun to the trial for ourselves to see whether the hype was warranted.

If you choose to use this gun as your primary SMG, the mix of attachments we suggest below will improve its portability, recoil, and range.

Vaznev-9K Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 779RPM
  • ADS Time: 210 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 540 m/s
  • Ammo Count: 64
  • Sprint To Fire Time: 110ms

Signal 50

Best Signal 50 Loadout in COD Modern Warfare 2
Other Stock option [Image Captured By Us]
The Signal 50 is designed to be handled with little effort, even under intense combat conditions. This gun is capable of taking cover and killing attackers from a distance while firing 50-caliber bullets. Neither its ADS nor its sprint-to-fire speeds are very fast.

Thus, it is challenging to perform in an increasingly hostile way. Fortunately, its high rate of fire compensates for its other flaws, letting you go off rapid follow-up rounds if you misfire.

Signal 50 Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 111 RPM
  • ADS Time: 580 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 650 m/s
  • Ammo Count: 5

A-Tier

The guns we have listed in our A-rank COD Modern Warfare 2 weapons tier list are second to none. They are almost close to performing the S-tier guns but still are foreshadowed by the performance of S-ranking weapons. Still, if you pick and use these weapons, you can’t go wrong.

Lachmann-556

LACHMANN 556 [Image Captured By Us]
The Lachmann 556 is a versatile primary weapon that can be used effectively at both long and short ranges thanks to its many accessories. In general, the rifle is easy to use for both experienced pros and those who are just starting out in MW2.

Lachmann 556 loadout setup may be easily adjusted to fit any play style. It is most effective at medium to long ranges because of its fast rate of fire and relatively low overall damage per shot.

As a result of the manageable recoil, you’ll be able to approach and strike your enemies from a safe distance. Because of its manageable recoil and its potential for rapid movement, this option is a potent defensive weapon.

STB-556

STB 556 mw2 [Image Captured By Us]
The STB 556 is unique among assault rifles since it can be customized with a wide variety of accessories. There’s a lot of room for you to tailor it to your own preferences.

The STB 556 is a kind of Assault Rifle in Modern Warfare 2 that benefits from a specific set of attachments to maximize its capabilities and reduce its recoil.

While the weapon’s range and stability are modest, to begin with, they may be improved to the point where the TTK is greatly reduced. The STB 556 is optimized for use at intermediate to long ranges. Its pinpoint precision makes it ideal for use against close-range targets.

Our STB 556 loadout setup offers excellent mobility, making you competitive in any battle taking place between short and medium ranges.

Kastov-74U

KASTOV-74U [Image Captured By Us]
The Kastov-74U is one of the game’s most effective weapons, yet it isn’t without its drawbacks. Nothing about the AR is a dealbreaker if you equip it with the right accessories and perks. It’s a basic gun that can do serious damage up close and has the potential to be effective at greater ranges, too.

The only real problem we can foresee with the Kastov-74U is its range. However, it is not the greatest, yet still being rather good at long range. Limitations in range and rate of fire make it difficult to use successfully at long ranges in battle. You may still use it, but you’ll require high FPS fighting prowess to be very effective.

Its low recoil and high accuracy make it a formidable weapon in battle. This gives you a decisive advantage in close and medium-range fights. Because you will likely have one of the highest mobility ratings, you will be able to swiftly sprint and dash the battlefield, eliminating any opponents in your path.

Kastov-74U Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 652 RPM
  • ADS Time: 210 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 590 m/s

VEL 46

VEL 46 [Image Credit: eXputer]
Vel-46 is a high-velocity submachine gun. This firearm was inspired by the MP7 from previous COD MW games. If you’re a beginner and you’re good at closing the gap between you and your opponents, the Vel-46 is a great choice of weapon.

Each user of an SMG should prioritize increasing their firing rate and mobility to quickly and easily kill their opponents. The weapon will be accessible for use as soon as you join a multiplayer session.

This SMG’s low ADS and fast sprint-to-fire time make it a good fit for the usual fast playstyle.  At level 4, you’ll have the ability to create your own loadout. The next is to create the loadout and then start to inflict havoc on the enemies.

VEL 46 Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 952 RPM

Fennec 45

Fennec 45 [Image Credit: eXputer]
Due to the prevalence of other guns like the MP5 in MW2, the Fennec 45 is not the top gun on our list of the finest SMGs. The Lachmann Sub’s TTK proportion has been drastically lowered. Therefore, the Fennec 45 could be a better choice as a major weapon in the current meta.

If you reach Level 38, you’ll get access to Fennec 45. As soon as you do that, you will have it. The Fennec 45 SMG is not restricted by a specific path of progression or a weapon system and may be obtained by anybody who reaches the minimum level requirement.

When compared to similar firearms, the Fennec 45 boasts the greatest rate of fire. If anybody dares to confront you in a close-quarters fight, you will simply wipe them off. The Fennec 45 boasts one of the fastest fire speeds in the game, making it useful in close quarters but less so at extended distances owing to a damage drop-off at those larger ranges.

Fennec 45 Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 1091 RPM
  • ADS Time: 200 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 300 m/s

PDSW 528

PDSW 528 [Image Credit: eXputer]
The PDSW 528, a redesigned version of the iconic P90, is one of the greatest submachine guns (SMGs) in MW2. The weapon may have a new name, but it will evoke feelings from prior Call of Duty games thanks to its recognizable design and capability.

Due to the setup of our class, you will have the upper hand in a close-quarters battle. Increased bullet speed for the PDSW 528 is the outcome of the attachments that allow for more damage output and a longer effective range.

Here we have compiled the optimal loadout and class configurations for the PDSW 528, allowing you to maximize its potential in competitive multiplayer scenarios. As a result, the P90 will be able to do greater damage. Making this SMG your main weapon will make climbing the ranks in Modern Warfare 2 much easier.

Lockwood 300

Best Shotguns In Modern Warfare 2
Lockwood 300 [Image Captured By Us]
The Lockwood 300 is widely regarded as MW 2’s premier shotgun. Unfortunately, you won’t get access to this weapon until level 36, so don’t expect to use it right away. This implies that causing havoc with it will be impossible until you’ve made some serious weapon progression in COD MW2 MP Mode.

The shotgun is more precise and has a wider spread of fire than any other firearm. Additionally, this gun may have its reach and destructive potential extended by a wide variety of attachments.

Shotguns like the Lockwood 300 only hold two rounds. True, most shotguns have between seven and eight rounds, but this one just has two. Inconveniently, this is a major drawback for some people. But if you know how to use a shotgun correctly, that’s all you need to get the job done.

The Lockwood 300 is an effective shotgun. The main drawback is that it only has two rounds, but for precise shooters, that should be more than plenty.

Expedite 12

Best Shotguns In Modern Warfare 2
Expedite 12 [Image Captured By Us]
Some say the Expedite 12 is the ideal shotgun for beginners. Its amazing popularity in the Modern Warfare 2 beta has carried over to the full game & now it continues to dominate run and gun shotgun play style.

Due to the weapon’s high firing rate and relatively large magazine capacity, you may swiftly rack up enemy kills. The weapon’s magazine holds 7 bullets, so you won’t always have to reload it.

Unfortunately, the Expedite 12’s limited range is its one real drawback. Its range is short compared to the other shotguns in the game. This means you’ll need to take a very close approach to your target if you want to hit it.

In addition, the recoil isn’t particularly powerful, so you’ll want to aim carefully. If you don’t, your opponent will likely kill you before you can even fire another shot. As a whole, the Expedite 12 is an excellent starting shotgun in MW2.

Expedite 12 Weapon Stats

MCPR-300

Best MCPR 300 Barrel Loadouts in COD Modern Warfare 2
22″ OMX-456 Barrel [Image Captured By Us]
Because it is a rookie-friendly sniper rifle, you may begin leveling it up quickly to develop a playstyle that suits you. Even so, the rifle’s weight and size make it difficult to be super effective or to round corners to take shots. Therefore, maintain a line of sight and kill any remaining foes.

The MCPR-300 is a very powerful long-range weapon. It can be outfitted to drop a lot of players from afar with the appropriate attachments. The Cronen Smooth Bolt attachment makes it simple to fire another shot after missing the first one, thanks to its rapid rechambering mechanism.

Weapon Stats

SP-X80

SP-X 80 [image captured by us]
The SP-X 80 is a lightweight and simple firearm that can kill with a single shot. This sniper rifle packs a serious punch and may turn the tide of combat in its favor. It supports both active and passive game styles, so you may switch between the two as needed. Maximizing the gun’s agility, ADS, and firing rate will result in a sniper that can one-shot enemies.

When it comes to sniping in Modern Warfare 2, the SP-X 80 is your best bet. It’s the most reliable and efficient sharpshooter available. An aggressive approach to utilizing the gun allows you to quickly and easily dispatch large groups of foes. Your opponent will have a tough time keeping up with you if you can land headshots and quick scopes.

HCR 56

Best LMGs In Modern Warfare 2
HCR 56 [Image Captured By Us]
The incredible damage output of the HCR 65 means that you should be able to help knock down your enemy with only a few bullets. In comparison to the various LMGs in our COD Modern Warfare 2 tier list, this gun’s basic damage is among the greatest. You won’t have any trouble keeping the firearm under control, and it handles and moves really well.

This light machine gun has appeared in earlier installments of the series, so we know it’s not making its series debut here. The HCR 65’s slow firing rate is its major drawback. The LMG’s 60-round capacity is the lowest of any light machine gun.

Because of this, it is not recommended for competitors looking for an LMG with a large magazine to run within MP mode. The HCR 56 initially has these issues, but as it levels up, you get access to attachments that fix them.

HCR 56 is a potent light machine gun with generally high DPS, excellent speed, and usability. Though its magazine capacity isn’t the highest, it may be expanded with the appropriate accessories.

RPK

Best LMGs In Modern Warfare 2
RPK [Image Captured By Us]
The RPK LMG’s large, heavy barrel makes it useful in both close quarters and at longer ranges. If you want to give this weapon an even greater advantage, there are a ton of add-ons you can choose from to customize it. The RPK, unlike the other choices, maybe a bit tricky to manage.

Our testing has shown that the XRK On-Point is the best optic for the RPK LMG. However, each player will have a unique optic since they all have their own preferences. We recommend the TAC 597 barrel since it extends your shooting range.

The RPK is a respectable light machine gun. This LMG is not available right away; you must first achieve a certain objective. This involves raising the level of the Kastov 762 to 16, at which point the RPK will become usable.

556 Icarus

556 ICARUS
556 ICARUS [Image Captured By Us]
The Icarus 556 is the most mobile of all of the light machine guns in our COD Modern Warfare 2 weapons tier list, and it does incredible damage.

The incredible range of the 556 ICARUS is another of its many impressive features. The LMG is useful for killing distant foes, and its easy-to-manage recoil pattern means you will not need to worry about dropping it. It may be improved even more by using various accessories.

Getting the M4 to level 18 is what’s required to get the 556 ICARUS unlocked. You’ll have to make some serious headway before you can get your hands on the LMG, but the time investment will be well good enough to justify it.

Still, no LMG can compare to the power of the 556 ICARUS. You may count on this weapon in a variety of scenarios since it will speed up your ability to rack up body counts.

FTAC Recon

Modern Warfare 2: BEST FTAC Recon Loadout With Overkill
The BEST FTAC Recon Loadout With Overkill [Image credit: eXputer]
Recoil is also substantial because of the high damage per round of the gun. Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was launched not long ago, gamers are still not fully aware of the full capability of each weaponry. Because of this, there are certain loadouts that maximize the effectiveness of your weapons.

The extreme recoil and lack of stability make FTAC Recon a challenge to use; therefore, few players have taken to it. Shooting in a wide arc in the hopes that anything sticks will not work with this weapon.

Although the FTAC Recon is best suited for players with high accuracy, with the right loadout setup, the once-challenging weapon may be made simple for virtually anybody.

FTAC Recon Weapon Stats

Lachmnnn-762

LACHMANN-762 [image captured by us]
The Lachmann-762 is quickly ascending the ranks to become the game’s standard weapon since it is used by all of the best players in COD MW2. The enormous firepower of this weapon, as well as the fact that it may kill a target with only one shot to the head, is what prompted gamers to unlock and use it in-game.

This firearm has the capacity to be improved in some way so that it can also function as the perfect long-range weapon. Because of its attachments, it is a very versatile weapon that can be used effectively by both novices and seasoned players. Even without attachments, the rifle tends to be somewhat unremarkable and cumbersome to use.

Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 492 RPM
  • ADS Time: 260 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 660 m/s

B-Tier

The B-ranking COD Modern Warfare 2 weapons tier list guns need some balancing to damage, recoil, and handling, and they’d be equivalent to A-tier weapons’ performance. Slotting in attachments does improve the performance of these weapons, but still, they’re average in the current meta.

M16

M16 [Image Captured By Us]
If you have good aim and can accurately target the head or body, the M16 is a fantastic weapon option. The weapon may also be used for target practice if that’s what you’re after. However, keep in mind that there will be a little lag or stop in bullet action after each fire.

The M16 is a great Assault Rifle in Call of Duty: MW2’s burst weapon category, and it performs similarly to the M16s in previous games in the series. When utilizing the M16, you may launch a three-round burst attack.

Because of this, the M16 is best used at medium to long ranges, where it may provide impressive accuracy. In fact, this is the only viable option. In a small area, it is important that you not use the M16.

M16 Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 811 RPM
  • ADS Time: 290 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 590 m/s
  • Ammo Count: 30
  • Sprint To Fire Time: 210 ms

MX9

MX9 [Image Credit: eXputer]
The MX9 has been called an indomitable SMG due to its ability to tear through enemies at close range in previous COD games but not in MW2. Small adjustments would make it the ideal intermediate SMG. Like all the other weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the MX9 has its pros and cons.

As you can see, the advantages of gun ownership exceed the disadvantages, which is why it is such a good choice. The recoil problem may be easily fixed by adding a muzzle and barrel.

Due to the SMG’s early weakness compared to other guns of the same category, many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 streamers believe MX9 to be a horrible use of gun space. But they don’t realize that it may develop into a very effective fighting instrument if given a chance.

MX9 is a great weapon for both newbies and veterans alike due to its adaptability and versatility. There are a few problems with the gun, including a sluggish firing rate and a powerful recoil. However, this may be modified by adding or removing the accessories we covered for the MX9 in the previous section.

Bryson 800

Bryson 800
Bryson 800 [Image Captured By Us]
There are a number of reasons why the Bryson 800 might be the greatest shotgun you will ever have in COD MW2. In every respect, this model outperforms the Bryson 890. Bryson 800 shotgun is equivalent to Expedite 12 firearm.

As a result of Expedite 12’s low range, you must be in very close proximity to your targets in order to ensure successful execution. The Bryson 800, though, has a wide variety of accessories that may greatly extend its range.

The bright side is that you don’t need to do anything special to unlock the Bryson 800; it comes unlocked when you log into a multiplayer mode for the first time. In general, the Bryson 800 is a reliable shotgun that excels in a variety of settings. With its 8-round mag capacity, you will not be concerned about having to reload too often.

Bryson 890

Bryson 890
Bryson 890 [Image Captured By Us]
The Bryson 890 can fire eight rounds from its magazine and has sixteen shells in spare. The removable mag is what renders this shotgun a good option. As anybody who has experienced any of the multiplayer modes will attest, having a full magazine is crucial. The shotgun’s removable magazine allows for quicker reloads than those of comparable weapons.

The fact that you need a lot of practice with Bryson 890 before you can master it is the major drawback of using it. You can’t just make a stronger weapon; you’ll need to employ attachments to deal with these issues instead.

After making some advancements on the Bryson 800, the Bryson 890 becomes available. While it’s true that this is a later-game weapon, it’s nothing exceptional.

While the Bryson 890 is a serviceable shotgun, there’s no compelling reason to choose it over the many superior weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

LA-B 300

LA-B 300 [image captured by us]
When pitted against the SP-X 80, the LA-B 330’s inferior speed, handling, and damage are apparent. If you currently have access to the SP-X 80, it’s hard to see why you’d want to upgrade to the LA-B 330. In the event that you don’t have access to the SP-X 80, you may equip the LA-B 330 with these accessories to turn it into a powerful pistol capable of doing significant damage quickly and at great distances.

A bolt-action sniper rifle with exceptional portability, the LA-B 330 is a quick-scope gun and will help you clear your surroundings and then go for your targets with confidence. It can quickly quick-scope foes with ease because of its excellent agility and handling.

RAPP H

RAPP H
RAPP H [Image Captured By Us]
The RAPP H’s recoil pattern is quite easy to regulate, despite the LMG’s reputation for being tough to operate. You can use this LMG with ease, even if you’re just starting out. Its handling characteristics may be enhanced further by using appropriate attachments. This renders the RAPP H a great option for gamers of any skill level.

You can’t use this LMG unless you have the Lachmann-566 to level 16. Afterward, the RAPP H will become available.

When it comes to precision, the RAPP H is among the most effective light machine guns in Modern Warfare 2. This firearm, like the others on our COD MW2 tier list, has a magazine capacity of 75 rounds and a reserve capacity of 150.

Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 800 RPM
  • ADS Time: 480 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 700 m/s

C-Tier

Firearms that we have mentioned in our C-ranking COD Modern Warfare 2 weapons tier list are underperforming in the current meta. We have hardly any luck winning a match or two with a good K/D ratio while running with these guns in the lobby. You can still slot in the attachments and run with the loadout that we have suggested here, but they’d not get you far enough as weapons from above tiers.

Kastov 545

Kastov 545 mw2 [Image Captured By Us]
Long-term use of the Kastov 545 will convince you that it is an excellent AR. Comparing the Kastov 545 to the Kastov-74U reveals a great deal of similarity between the two ARs. The main difference is that it inflicts slightly less damage but has a greater range and far less kick than the other.

Your Kastov 762 must be upgraded to Level 13 before you may unlock Kastov 545 weapon. You’ll have to wait till then to get your hands on 545 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The Kastov 545 is great if you intend to maintain your enemies at a safe distance. It has a very rapid firing rate and pinpoints precision.

For when seconds matter, the Kastov 545’s high rate of fire comes in handy. Notwithstanding the fact that this AR is currently not a meta AR weapon, it is still a powerful rifle that will let you put together a devastating arsenal.

Kastov 545 Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 652 RPM
  • ADS Time: 260 ms
  • Muzzle Velocity: 590 m/s

MINIBAK

MINIBAK [Image Credit: eXputer]
Players of Black Ops Cold War will remember hearing the name “Bullfrog” across their experience. For the future sequel, Modern Warfare 2, the PP19 Bizon has been reworked & renamed into the Minibak SMG. Therefore, it will have a unique magazine that has a large magazine having a higher bullet count than most SMGs in COD MW2.

You can’t have the Minibak unless you upgrade the Kastovia Platform of weapons. Raise the level of your Kastov 762 to level 12 first. The Kastov 545 should then be set to level 13. Then, level up your  Kastov 74-U to level 18 ASAP in order to get access to MINIBAK.

If PP19 is upgraded with the right attachments, it can compete at larger distances. While the MINIBAK/PP19 does well in close-quarters combat, its performance drops off significantly at medium and long ranges.

MINIBAK Weapon Stats

RAAL MG

RAAL MG
RAAL MG [Image Captured By Us]
This RAAL MG light machine gun has a 75-round clip and is one of the most powerful LMGS in COD MW2. It has the second-highest damage of all of them. This allows you to rapidly and easily kill your foes with a minimum of effort. It has passable accuracy, and the ability to dampen recoil enables it to keep bullets under control.

Optics are a personal preference; however, the Cronen Mini Red Dot or Slimline Pro are two excellent options. These two optics are perfect companions for the RAAL MG. If you find that their gameplay style doesn’t mesh with your own, feel free to switch to another.

The RAAL MG is an excellent light machine gun. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use it until level 25; thus, it’s not a firearm for the early game.

Weapon Stats

Sakin MG38

Best LMGs In Modern Warfare 2
Sakin MG38 [Image Captured By Us]
The Sakin MG38 has a clip capacity of 100 bullets. If you’re looking for an LMG, this is the best option on the MP Mode since its magazine capacity is unparalleled. The weapon allows you to hold a strategic position without having to reload the firearm constantly.

The Croner Mini Pro optic is an excellent choice for the Sakin MG38, allowing for more precise and comfortable use at longer ranges. However, the Bruen Q900 Grip Wrap too is suggested for long-range shooting due to its beneficial effects on recoil and precision.

The Sakin MG38 is a great LMG since it is already unlocked without any more work on your side. So, once you’ve entered the battlefield of Modern Warfare 2, you may immediately begin playing it.

The Sakin MG38 is a fantastic LMG that may aid in the elimination of an opponent with as little as three or four bullets. With the correct weapon modifications, it may become one of the rapidly killing LMGs in COD MW2.

Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 652 RPM
  • ADS Time: 460 ms

TAQ-V

TAQ-V MW2
TAQ-V [image captured by us]
The TAQ-V bears an uncanny similarity to the SCAR-H from earlier games and delivers the same heady dose of nostalgia as its predecessor. Veterans of Call of Duty are almost always drawn to the TAQ-V as soon as they see it.

The Battle Rifle excels in medium-range confrontations, and the addition of an auto-firing mode renders the gun more accessible than the various options available to players of that class. In Modern Warfare 2, if you plan on wielding TAQ-V in encounters that take place at medium to long ranges, then you must need our recommended loadout.

Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 571 RPM

  • Muzzle Velocity: 660 m/s
  • Ammo Count: 20
  • Sprint To Fire Time: 210 ms

SO-14

SO-14 MW2
SO-14 [image captured by us]
The SO-14 rifle has a wide range of applications because of its semi- and fully-automatic shooting methods. Unfortunately, the recoil from the high rate of fire is difficult to master, and that could be problematic for a few players.

This makes it not just a top-tier combat rifle in Modern Warfare 2 but perhaps among the game’s finest firearms overall, as you have the option to select firing mode on the fly. It gives you versatility in how you approach your target.

Weapon Stats

  • Fire Rate: 429 RPM

COD MW2 Weapons Tier List Criteria

Our COD MW2 weapons tier list and ranking criteria were curated after a couple of eXputer’s tier list writers sat down and shared their experience with all weapons. The ranking hierarchy reflects our experience, and it will change as the meta changes in upcoming seasons of COD Modern Warfare 2.

Summary

That is pretty much everything we had to discuss Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 weapons tier list. If you’re new to the game, then consider using the S-tier weapons in MP modes. However, if you’re someone who likes a challenge, then go with the B or C-tier guns. They’d surely give you a good enough tough time in controlling the recoil and landing precision shots.
