You can use XP to level up your character up to level 40. Any levels after that contribute towards your Myth Rank. Players of the previous Borderland games may remember this as the Guardian Rank.

XP farming in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is essentially just farming bosses that you’ve encountered. With many of the bosses, once you’ve defeated them, you can spawn back in their little dungeon-like area and fight them again. Upon defeating them, you get XP and also the chance of getting great loot. Although the rarity of the loot does depend on your chaos level, you can still expect to get a good amount of XP. Therefore, to make any XP farm efficient, you need to be able to take out the boss quickly as well as respawn in that area to fight it again.

It is worth keeping in mind that the enemies in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands do scale according to your level. Meaning at a higher level, the bosses will be tougher but also will drop a lot more XP. With that in mind, here are some of the best bosses that you can use for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands XP farms.

Vorcanar

Way-point before the Vorcanar Fight

This is a great farm for the early game; you can get around 6000 XP per run and 60,000 XP per hour if you’re time-efficient with it. You will need to go through the Goblin’s Tired of Forced Depression quest that can be found in the overworld. It is a two-part quest, with the second part being The Slayer of Vorcanar. The mission will lead you to Mount Craw, where you want to make sure you take the Mount Craw-Tribute waypoint. Once you have that, you can enter the dungeon to fight Vorcanar and keep spawning back in to fight him over and over again. As it is one of the earlier found bosses, you should not have any difficulty fighting Vorcanar. That makes it a great early game Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands XP farm.

Vorcanar can be fought as early as getting your starting class. If you’re confused as to which class is the best, consider reading our tier list: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Class Tier List.

Zomboss

Zomboss can be found at the end of the Shattergrave Borrow. Zomboss is one of the earlier bosses that you can encounter after you unlock Brighthoof. It is a story, boss, so there isn’t any way that you can miss it. If you haven’t reached it yet, just continue onwards with the story. Regardless, you can expect to gain around 8400 XP at level 30 with each run. That means it can take you up to 10 minutes of grinding the same boss to level up. Which, in comparison to fighting random enemies, is not too bad.

You can perform the Zomboss farm solo, which makes it great. When you do quit the game and spawn back in to reset the boss, you spawn fairly close to the Zomboss. That is great for making the Zomboss farm time efficient.

However, consider the following: if you want to save time even further, especially on consoles that have longer waiting times. Once you beat Zomboss, instead of quitting the game, simply fast travel to Brighthoof. As soon as you spawn in, turn around where there will be a portal. Go through the portal, and it will take you right back to the Zomboss location. You can again go down and fight the boss yet again. This technique makes it super-efficient and perhaps one of the better XP farms out there.

What is also great about the Zomboss farm is that the boss is part of the main quest. That essentially means that you have a chance of getting a legendary item drop each time. Unfortunately, with the Zomboss, the dedicated legendary drop is a shield and not a weapon. It is the Last Gasp of the Beefy, as shown in the image. Therefore, if you are looking for a weapon drop with XP farming at the same time, consider the next farm.

Banshee

At the end of Weepwild Dankness, you can find the Banshee boss. Although the amount of XP dropped is the same as Zomboss, around 8400, you can use this boss to add some variety. The difference with the Banshee is that it does have an immunity phase where you cannot inflict any damage for around 3 seconds. This will add up to your overall XP farming time. But the one advantage that the Banshee has over Zombos is the loot. For the same amount of XP that you are gaining, you will also have the chance of getting a legendary weapon drop. Unlike Zomboss, where your dedicated drop was simply a shield.

There is one downside for this farm as compared to the Zomboss one. And that is, you will have to reload the game to fight Banshee again. You cannot simply down yourself and retry.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands XP Farming Tips

For farming XP in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, you can utilize almost any boss out there. That means you are not restricted to the ones mentioned in this guide. These are just some of the relatively easier bosses to encounter. There are some bosses out there that have larger immunity phases or even have 3 different phases, but the reward does not match the work you have to do. Therefore, it’s best to pick out the bosses that you can beat with relative ease. You need to be able to spawn back in quickly too.

Additionally, do try to increase your chaos level, as with higher levels, you do get higher XP. Also, consider getting better gear to take on the bosses easily. You can do that by using the Skeleton Key Exploit which will let you open the mystery box and get great loot. But there is one method that you can use to get an additional boost to the amount of XP you get from bosses. That is through the Shrine of Grindanna.

Shrine of Grindanna (+10% XP)

The Shrine of Grindanna is something that you can use to gain additional XP. 4 total pieces need to be found to activate the item’s perks. You will have to explore the overworld to find the Shrine of Grindanna. Furthermore, it would be best if you had made it to the drought abyss map in the main story, as that will unlock the bridge-making ability. We will need it in order to reach the areas with the shrine parts.

As there are 4 pieces, there are 4 total locations that you need to visit. They will all have encounters inside in which you need to clear enemies. Once you clear the enemies, you will be awarded the shrine piece near the end. Besides the first location shown, here are the remaining 3 locations:
