Tower of Fantasy has two versions, the Chinese version, and the Global version. The Chinese version is exclusive to China and features more characters compared to the Global version. After some time, the exclusive characters make their way into the Global version and are sometimes nerfed for gameplay reasons. The latest arrival, Frigg is no exception in this regard, and in today’s guide, we will discuss all the adjustments and nerfs Frigg has gone through in her Global release of Tower of Fantasy.
All Frigg Nerfs in Tower Of Fantasy
Frigg in the Chinese version of Tower of Fantasy, was considered a meta character by those who had access to the Chinese version. So, naturally, before her arrival in the Global version, the developers of Tower of Fantasy decided to adjust the character, which obviously caused some distress in the ToF community. Some of her attacks, which players used to spam in PvP for easy wins, won’t be possible in the Global version.
Below we have listed down all the changes and nerfs Frigg has gone through in the Global release. We will discuss the changes, as well as the “before and after” of all the skills that are nerfed. So make sure to stick with us till the end in order to know all the changes and nerfs.
The first ability of Frigg that is nerfed in the Global version of Tower of Fantasy is her “Frozen Domain I” effect. Basically, Frigg could activate this effect after her using her Fimbulwinter skill, which allowed her to unleash ice and shatter attack. In the Global version, Frigg won’t be able to deal any ice damage and will only deal shatter damage while under the effect of Frost Domain I.
Frozen Domain: After activating the Fimbulwinter skill, a large ice field is placed at Frigg’s position, which lasts for 25 seconds. While inside the field, Frigg’s dodges will not be consumed, and she will gain the effect of “Frozen Domain I”. This effect will increase her Ice ATK by 15% and Shatter by 25% while using ice weapons.

Nerf # 2
The second nerf that was made to the Global version of Frigg was to her third advancement level. The third advancement level allowed Frigg to deal extra frost damage after using discharge skills with frost weapons inside the frost domain. The percentage of frost damage is slightly decreased in the Global release of Frigg.
Advancement Level 3: The third advancement level increases the frostiness to 15. Moreover, when using discharge skills of frost weapons while inside the frost domain allows Frigg to deal damage equal to 25% of frost ATK × (current frostiness +5) to all targets who are inside the frost domain.
Advancement Level 3: Increase frostiness limit to 15. When using discharge skills of frost weapons in the frost domain, Frigg can deal damage equal to 20% of frost ATK × (current frostiness +5) to all targets who are inside the frost domain.
Nerf # 3
The third nerf that was made to the Global version of Frigg in Tower of Fantasy was to her sixth advancement level. The sixth advancement basically allowed Frigg to unlock a new enhanced form of the Frozen Domain known as Frozen Domain II. Frozen Domain II essentially increased the Frigg’s Ice ATK by some margin, but that margin has been reduced in the Global release.
Advancement Level 6: Reaching 15 Frost points while inside the ice field created by the Frozen Domain domain will unlock an additional tier of this effect, the “Frozen Domain II”. This effect increases the ice damage caused by ice weapons by 25%.
Advancement Level 6: Reaching 15 Frost points while inside the ice field will grant an additional tier of Frozen Domain I effect, known as the “Frozen Domain II”. This effect increases the ice damage caused by ice weapons by 12%.
Nerf # 4
The fourth skill that was nerfed in the Global release of Frigg was one of her dodge skills called the “Multislash”. This attack was notorious in PvP for being spammed by the players all the time after landing a perfect dodge. This skill was absolutely broken, and the developers definitely took notice of this. Naturally, the attack percentage of Multislash was massively nerfed in the Global release of Frigg in Tower of Fantasy.
Multislash: Press normal attack during the short, perfect attack window to activate Multislash. Activativating, the Multislash, will allow Frigg to unleash multiple slashes from a distance, dealing total damage equal to 257.1% of ATK + 14
Multislash: Tap normal attack during the short, perfect attack window to trigger Multislash. Triggering Multislash allows you to unleash multiple slashes from a distance, dealing total damage equal to 143.9% of ATK + 8.
Frigg is one of the first Chinese exclusive characters to arrive in the Global version of Tower of Fantasy, and she certainly won’t be the last. At the same, she is definitely not the last character that was nerfed, or in other words, adjusted to balance the gameplay.
So make sure you keep up with the patches and keep a keen eye on all gameplay adjustments developers make from time to time. Just because a character was broken in the Chinese version doesn’t mean it has to be broken in the Global release as well.
