In most open-world games, traveling from one to another can be frustrating, but luckily you can fast travel in XC3. Keep in mind that you cannot fast travel from the beginning of your gameplay. You have to play the game for a while before you get the power to jump around the map.  

In order to unlock the fast travel for your characters, you first need to discover some locations. To make it, you can only fast travel to the places where you have already been. As the world is vast, there several adventures that you can do with your heroes. After you have discovered the locations the first time, the next you can easily fast travel to the same places, saving lots of your time.

What Locations Can You Fast Travel To In Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

Apparently, there are five types of locations that players can fast travel to. Keep in mind that you can travel while you are actively engaged in a battle. Moreover, the games also lock this feature during important parts of the story.

These are important locations in-game, you can solve quests, fight your opponents, and you can rest as well. Below we have mentioned all types of areas that allow you to skip travel.

Landmarks

Landmarks are probably the most common places to fast travel to in the game. Moreover, the world map of Aionios is vast, and it has tons of Landmarks to explore. While traveling to different regions or on routine travel, players most often stumble upon these Landmarks.

Rest Spots

The Rest Spots are basically camps, where players are allowed to cool, craft, access their party, and along with that many other features. These spots are usually marked by smoke coming from abandoned fires in the game.

Named Graves

When players defeat a unique monster in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, a Named Grave will surely appear in that particular location. Moreover, world bosses have a statue that marks their demise, making them important figures, and also players can fast travel to these places as well.

Colonies

To simply put, colonies are towns found in the world of Aionios. There are plenty of activities for players to do in these colonies. Moreover, each and every colony is run by a different commander, and it has its own needs and facilities.

Also, you can interact with different NPCs and pick up side quests for fun and rewards. Fortunately, you can also fast travel to these areas in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 whenever you want.

Secret Areas in the game are very similar to Landmarks. But these are extremely hard to find, while Landmarks are pretty easy to locate. Fortunately, you can also fast travel to these places, once you have visited them before.

How To Trigger Fast Travel?

Players can fast travel to any area of their interest pretty easily; all they need to do is press the X button to open the menu. There you will see a prompt for the “Skip Travel” Button.

After that, on the menu, choose a map; this will display all the places t that you have discovered. However, if the region you want to travel to is really far away, then it will take some time to load.

Each and every time you visit a vital location, it gets saved, such as Landmarks or rest spots. Remember that Landmark has Yellow tower icons and Rest Spot has yellow handshake-like icons. You will be able to all the places you can skip travel to, just open the open and select the area of interest that you want to visit.

Moreover, you can select which part you want to visit and the time of day too! All you simply have to do is press the L or R button to choose the time of the day. Then you can confirm to arrive at the place at your preferred time.
