What Is Ferronis Hulk In Xenoblade Chronicles 3?
Throughout Xenoblade Chronicles 3, you will visit locations where you will find large decrepit machines scattered around, which are known as Ferronis Hulk. They were used by the early colonies and used the flame clock as a source of fuel. With time, the flame clock became scarce, so the Ferronis Hulk became unserviceable.
If you are in a search for Ferronis Hulk, their location is mainly at either the front or the center of a colony in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Its purpose is to restore all the lost colonies. It can be done once you reboot all the Ferronis Hulk in the game.
Rebooting the machine will give you certain benefits; however, to do it, you will require Ether Cylinders. Once the rebooting is done, they also become your resting spots, and you can also unlock fast travel through them. Moreover, the Ferronis Hulk will reward you with two containers of rare items along with a Fabricator and a Nopon Trader.
The items are used for crafting a lot of different items. However, keep in mind that Ferronis Hulk locations are heavily guarded by enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. So, make sure you are prepared for a fight if you are looking for these machines.
All Ferronis Hulk Locations In Xenoblade Chronicles 3
The machines are pretty huge, which makes them hard to miss. So, when one of these is nearby, you will be able to spot it easily. Moreover, if you are with a teammate and they spot a machine, then they will instantly inform you.
Since Ferronis Hulk is scattered all across the Xenoblade Chronicle 3’s map, there might be a location that you have not unlocked. Those locations will not unlock unless you reach certain milestones. So, if you are new to the game and want to reboot all the machines, then you will have to wait for a while.
For your ease, we have provided all Ferronis Hulk locations in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. So, before you set your route for your journey, you can know if the location is locked or unlocked. The locations will also allow you to map out all the locations easily and reboot them accordingly.
Aetia Region: Hillside
On the southern side of the Aetia Region, you will see a hillside, and it will come once you reach chapter 2. Your first Ferronis Hulk will be there, and it is part of the main story mission. Rebooting this machine is necessary if you want to progress through the main quest, and we recommend you have a minimum level of 10.
Aetia Region: Battlescar
Go to the north side of the Aetia Region all the way until you reach a landmark of Torchlight Hill. The machine will be near the landmark, and you will be able to recognize the place as soon as you enter the area. Since the machine is heavily guarded by enemies, we recommend you go there with level 58.
Fornis Region: Tableland
Now you will need to travel to Fornis Region. Before you arrive at the Old Kana Battlefield near the Saffronia Tree Landmark, you will see a tunnel that you can enter through the southwest cliffs. Keep following the tunnel and you will find the Tableland Ferronis Hulk at the edge of the cliff. We recommend you have a level 22 before setting out on your journey.
Fornis Region: Desert
On Fornis Region’s north side, you will find a Raptor Perch Landmark. Near the edge of the map, you will be able to find the Desert Ferronis Hulk. For this expedition, we will recommend you have a minimum level of 35. If, at this point, you are wondering how long it will take to finish the game, then consider reading the How Long To Beat Xenoblade Chronicles 3? guide.
Cadensia Region: Sandbar
In the middle of the Cadensia Region, go to the north side of the Eternal Canopy landmark. There you will find the Sandbar Ferronis Hulk. It will be located at the center of the island; however, you have to unlock Scree walking first to reach there. The level we will recommend you must have is 62.
Cadensia Region: Atoll
You will find the Vinisog Holm Camp in the Cadensia Region. Go to the northwest side of it, and there you will find the Atoll Ferronis Hulk machine. The recommended level for it is 46.
Pentelas Region: Clifftop
You need to reach the northern side of the Pentelas Region to get the Clifftop Ferronis Hulk. However, you have to complete some Chapter 4 quests so that the Engardo Pass Camp can unlock. When the camp unlocks, go towards its northwest side, where you will see a locked door it is operatable by a switch.
To unlock the door, you need to interact with the switch. Once you do, follow the bridge until you see Agnus and Keves’ forces fighting. There, you have to climb up the bridge so you can reach the Clifftop machine and reboot it. The recommended level for the expedition is 48.
Pentelas Region: Cascade
Locate your path toward the Old Way Camp in the Pentelas Region. Just before arriving at the camp, you will see a waterfall. You will need to get on top of that waterfall where you will find the Cascade Ferronis Hulk. To be able to reboot it, make sure you are at least level 30.
Rebooting Ferronis Hulk
Now that you know all the locations where you will find the Ferronis Hulk in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It is time to know how you can reboot it. There will be a few steps that you need to complete in order to power it on.
Once you defeat the colony and the elite monster, you will have to use the ether cylinder, which will power the Ferronis Hulk. In case you are not having any ether cylinder, then locate the ether channels that are hidden in the open world. Then harvest it so you can have it in your inventory.
The ethers are coming out of the ground, and they look like sources of green light. You will find them anywhere on the ether channel’s field. They will show up as star-shaped symbols on the map. To activate the machine, you will need to climb up the ladder and reboot it using the ether cylinder.
When you reboot a Ferronis Hulk, it will convert to a rest stop. There is a container with legendary and rare items in each of these machines. All of the machines, after rebooting, will turn a Fabricator online. The fabricator will allow you to spend some amount of money in exchange for a chance to get a handful of rare materials depending on the region’s specialties.
Ferronis Hulk Uses
There are four major benefits that you will be getting once you reboot the Ferronis Hulk machines. These benefits justify the struggle you did for rebooting the machines.
At the location of a rebooted Ferronis Hulk machine, you will be able to rest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Once it activates, you can clean yourself up, cook, create gems, and do much more. Apart from that, you will need the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 BEST Heroes guide and the BEST healers to beat the enemies easily.
As soon as the machine activates, the Traderpons become available. They will provide useful items and accessories to players in exchange for gold by coming and setting up their shop inside the Hulk. You will also need to activate all the Hulks in order to get all the Nopon Caravans that will be required for the Nopon Register quest.
Access to Fabricators
Through the Ferronis Hulk machines, you will be getting a fabricator. The fabricator will provide you with all the rare items and items that are difficult to find in exchange for gold. However, each fabricator will only provide you with items from the area it is located in.
Skip Travel Point
Once you reboot a Ferronis Hulk, the area is easily accessible in terms of travel. You will no longer need to spend time going from one region to another. Rather, you will simply fast travel and access the nearby resources easily.
That concludes our location guide on Ferronis Hulk in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. We hope you won’t find any trouble while rebooting them. Don’t forget to acknowledge the recommended level we mentioned, so the fight against colonies remains easier. However, if the area is not accessible and you are ready to take on the challenge, then go ahead, although it might be challenging.
