Journey from Watcher to Duskspeaker in new Beast of Winter DLC

It has been almost two whole months since the release of the critically acclaimed title, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. It has received excellent reviews from all over such as USgamer giving it 4.5/5 and ShackNews giving it 9/10. Now, a DLC for the title has been announced, titled Beast of Winter, the trailer for which can be seen below

The story continues with the protagonist Watcher, on his journey as he travels to the southernmost depths of Deadfire Archipelago. The area is drenched with the cold winds that numb a person down to his knees. The land of the living suffers in that deadly weather. The god of entropy and disaster, Rymrgand, is feared and worshipped in that area by the locals. The same people dub Watcher, our protagonist as Duskspeaker, believing him to be their saviour from the tyranny of Rymrgand and pray for him to fulfil his destiny as their hero.

The main features outlined by the developer of the title are the following:

  • Embark upon an adventure that will take you to Hel itself.
  • Join forces with Vatnir, an Endings Godlike and Priest of Rymrgand, to bring the battle to the monstrosities that roam the Beyond.
  • Confront an ancient dragon, whom even the gods fear, before she brings Eora to an icy end.

The entire adventure-packed story is set to arrive on the 2nd of August, this year. As a standalone purchase, it will run the player $10 while the Season Pass will run them $25. Expansions Seeker, Slayer, Survivor and The Forgotten Sanctum are set to hit the digital market this September and November respectively.
