Coming out almost 2 months ago, City of Brass was met with mixed reviews. The single player, first person game could not make the impact it wanted to until now. Uppercut games, in an effort to change all of that and make a leap towards the positive end of the critique spectrum, launched a major update full of new content for the players.
The update, dubbed Fortunes Rivals, introduces new characters, weapons and exciting new changes to the game. Firstly discussing the new characters, these include three new additions to the game. The Traveler, Soldier and Brigand take centre stage as they aim to breathe new life into the title.
As it is obvious from her name, the Soldier is known for many skills, particularly in combat. She uses these in search for treasure while she boasts a terrible spear which has the power to stab multiple enemies with a single jab and can be used to be thrown at a fleeing pray as well.
In search of the thief who stole her precious amulet, the Traveler finds herself engulfed by the City of Brass. Not budged by the terrors lurking inside the city, enraged with the long for revenge and her amulet, the Traveler fearlessly enters the city walls, ready to take it head-on.
As the name gives it all away, the Brigand is master of opening any locks that come her way. Perhaps no place is inaccessible bu this character. Taking up the challenge of the City of Brass as he wielded his mystical throwing daggers, The Brigand raced to the city!
In addition to these awesome characters, the players get to wield special new weapons such as the Trident of Puncturing (not so subtle with the name) and the Skewer of Chilling. Coupled with this is the option to choose the gender for the playable character allows for a more comfortable and diverse gaming experience.
“City of Brass is a special experience and we’re happy to continue supporting the game and our lovely community with the ‘Fortunes Rivals’ update,” said Ed Orman, co-founder and designer, Uppercut Games. “These new characters and gear introduce a fresh sense of depth and variety to the experience and we look forward to seeing players explore City of Brass in new ways.”
The update is available now for PCs through Steam and is set to arrive on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One shortly.
