AMD Ryzen 5 2500X And Ryzen 3 2300X Are The New Upcoming Entry-level CPUs

AMD B450 Motherboard Not Officially Announced Yet

AMD Ryzen 2000 series CPUs are out now and though they are pretty competitive as compared to other offerings on the market, it seems that AMD is not done rolling out CPUs yet. AMD Ryzen 5 2500X And Ryzen 3 2300X have been spotted and these seem to be the upcoming entry-level CPUs that have yet to be announced.

The AMD Ryzen 5 2500X should feature 4 cores and 8 threads, while the Ryzen 3 2300X is reported to come with 4 cores and 4 threads. The 2500X will have a base clock of 3.6 GHz and will boost to 4 GHz. The little brother also has similar specs but the base clock is a bit lower at 3.5 GHz.

Both chips have a 65W TDP and while AMD Ryzen 5 2500X is expected to cost less than $200 the 2300X will be even cheaper at less than $150. You can check out the detailed list below.

E variants are also going to be launched soon. The AMD Ryzen 7 2700E has the upper hand with eight cores, 2.8 GHz base clock at a TDP of 45 watts. Furthermore, we have the Ryzen 5 2600E which is also a six-core part with 3.1 GHz base clock at 45 Watt TDP.

We do not know when these CPUs are going to be announced but we know that the mainstream AMD B450 motherboards have also not been announced yet. They were shown at Computex 2018 by partners, so we know for sure that they exist and will be hitting the market soon.

You can expect these new CPUs to come out with the announcement of the mainstream AMD B450 motherboards. Keeping in mind that various companies have already shown off their upcoming motherboards and that we are already getting leaks regarding these chips, it is safe to assume that the release of both is not far off now.

AMD has been doing pretty well since it first announced Ryzen a year back and the second generation has just made things better. These upcoming entry-level chips will help AMD gain even more traction and market share. It will be interesting to see how well these chips perform as compared to Intel but that is yet to come, so stay tuned for more.
