Redfall Could Be Delayed Internally By At Least 6 Weeks

The Arkane Studios title could still release sometime in May.

Redfall is reportedly internally delayed at Arkane Studios. According to a report, the vampire slayer game has been pushed back by at least 6 weeks. This delay could see Redfall shipping sometime in May of 2023. This would one of the few times where the release of the game has been pushed back.

Key Takeaways

  • Redfall is internally delayed
  • The game may not ship until May 2023
  • This delay could also affect the release date of Starfield

The internal delay is according to Okami Games on Twitter. Okami has released exclusive news about the state of Redfall in the past, and this new update could be credible.

It is not the first time The title has been delayed, internally or externally. Earlier this year, both Redfall and Starfield were delayed to the first half of 2023. Redfall was originally set to launch sometime in the summer of 2022, and Starfield was expected to launch on November 11th, 2022.

This is also bad news for aspirant Starfield players. It was in Bethesda’s and Microsoft’s schedule to release Starfield sometime after Redfall.

With a possible May release for Redfall, do not expect Starfield to release until the fall of 2023. Unless Bethesda and Microsoft plan to double-dip releases back to back and have Starfield launch sometime in the summer.

While it can be frustrating to wait for a game for so long only for it to be delayed, these delays are for the better. As the quote goes “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.” A delay for Redfall means the team has more time to polish any rough edges and ensure that a launch will be stable.

We should learn more about Bethesda and Microsoft’s release plans sometime early in 2023. We could see release dates for upcoming 2023 titles such as Starfield and of course Redfall.
