Xbox Offering ¥5000 Gift Card With Every Xbox Series S In Japan

The offer is available for a limited time only.

The Xbox Series X and S duo has revolutionized next-gen gaming by becoming a worthy alternative to a well-built gaming PC. The literal towers of power can run modern AAA titles flawlessly while ensuring a smooth, stutter-free experience. The faster SSD speeds, enchanting resolution, and higher refresh rates make the new Xbox consoles worthwhile.

Major Takeaway:

  • Xbox is offering a ¥5000 gift card with every purchase of the Xbox Series S.
  • The offer is eligible from 16th September to 30th September 2022.

Xbox Series S has sold like hotcakes worldwide, including in Asian markets like Japan. However, consumers now have another great reason to purchase the next-gen console. Microsoft is reportedly offering a 5000 yen gift card for every Series S sold.

The good news follows after Xbox’s fantastic presentation at the Tokyo Game Show 2022 that was held recently. The official announcement by Xbox Japan cites, “We will carry out a campaign to present gift cards and points worth 5,000 yen when purchasing Xbox Series S.

The limited-time offer has already commenced today. The customers can purchase the Xbox Series S and receive a free 5000 yen gift card alongside it from 16th September to 30th September 2022. This offer will bring a whole new audience to the robust console.

It is worth noting that Xbox Series X is not eligible for this deal. Moreover, the offer may end abruptly for each storefront without any warnings. The following storefronts are offering the eye-catching deal:

  • Amazon.co.jp
  • Joshin Electric
  • bic camera
  • Yamada Denki
  • Yodobashi Camera

The 5000 yen gift card is about 35 dollars at the time of writing. The popularity of the Series S may also skyrocket following this stunning offer by Microsoft. Sony has long dominated the Japanese market, and these initiatives present a nice challenge to the large company.

During the Tokyo Game Show event, Xbox also announced the arrival of several fan-favorite Japanese titles on the Xbox Game Pass. Some of the titles include Danganronpa V3, Fuga Melodies of Steel, and Ni No Kuni Wrath of the white witch.

Moreover, the remastered versions of Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable were also significant elements of the event. The recap of the Tokyo Game Show can be read here.

The Xbox Series S is the cheaper but viable version of the two due to its reasonable price. Despite featuring lower refresh rates and resolution than the Series X, the console makes it up for it for a staggering $200 less cost. The free ¥5000 gift card for every Xbox Series S purchased only enhances the benefits for the consumer.
