Overwatch Summer Games Brings Back Lucioball

Lucioball is back!

According to Overwatch’s official twitter, Lucioball will be returning for a third time in the Overwatch Summer Games.

According to another tweet, it sounds like this year’s Games will be in based Busan, South Korea.  Previous years, the Lucioball arenas have been in Rio de Janiero, Brazil and Sydney, Australia.

For those who don’t know, Overwatch’s Summer Games for the last two years has featured a game mode called Lucioball.  The game mode consists of two teams, each made up by three Lucios.  These two teams then play a game of soccer using Lucio’s Sonic Amplifier to move the ball.  It’s high-paced fun, fitting in with the traditional game mode of Overwatch.

There is not yet a lot of details about what else will be included in the Summer Games patch.  However, there has been some information put out by Overwatch’s official twitter.  Through these couple tweets, fans know that new skins will be coming for some heroes.  D.Va will be getting a new legendary skin called WAVERACER.  It’s got a nice blue and white color scheme that evokes images of a surfboard.  Reinhardt will also be getting a new legendary skin called Gridironhardt Reinhardt.  This skin is red-orange football gear that makes him look quite like a quarterback.

As of right now there is no more information about the Summer Games, most likely so everyone can be surprised when the patch goes live.
