SMACH Z Handheld Gaming Machine Officially Announced At E3 2018, Will Be Available In Limited Quantities In September

Can Be Upgraded And Uses SD Cards For Storage

The SMACH Z handheld has been rumored for some time and we have heard various people say that this is a scam and not a real product but it seems that the SMACH Z has been officially announced and there are three different versions to choose from. You can pre-order one now and the device will start shipping in September.

The SMACH Z is a handheld PC of sorts and one of the major selling points of this device is that is powered by the AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 with Vega 8 graphics. This is a mini PC that you can take with you and that means that you can upgrade it down the line if you feel that you need more power. This has been confirmed and according to the official website:

You can upgrade RAM and storage yourself as you would with a laptop or PC. They will need to have the the following specifications:

– RAM: SODIMM DDR4 up to 8GB modules and up to 2400 Mhz.
– Storage: m2 SSD size 22×42 up to 1T.

We recommend buying the components from our store to ensure compatibility.

According to the official site, even the SoC is upgradeable when one is available. The site also recommends that you get the 8 GB model if you are interested in playing AAA titles. The Nintendo Switch is a similar product but one of the selling points of this device is that you can play your Steam library on the device. This means that you do not need to buy games separately and can play the ones you already have.

It will be interesting to see how well this little device manages to run AAA titles and how much quality is lost. This is a very interesting little device and I am interested in checking it out so be sure to stay tuned for more information regarding the SMACH Z.

A launch trailer, as well as the specifications of the different versions that you can buy, have been included for you to check out. If this is everything that it claims to be then the Nintendo Switch will have some competition.
