UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE on FIFA 19: EA brings joy to all at EA PLAY

Even if you have remotely been a football fan, then you have most certainly played either FIFA or PES (Pro Evolution Soccer). Restricting this good news only for the FIFA fans out there, EA finally announced the integration of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

For years, the UEFA brand has been exclusive to the PES franchise only, leaving FIFA (said to be more advanced, physics-wise) with only its story mode, recently announced Journey mode with Alex Hunter and some Euro Cup, it named. “The UEFA Champions League has been one of the most requested features from players for over a decade, and we’re so excited for one of the World’s biggest competitions to join The World’s Game in FIFA 19.” said Aaron McHardy, Executive Producer for EA SPORTS FIFAHe also added, “We are elevating the experience this year in so many ways, from integrating UEFA Champions League content across the game, to adding a variety of new features that bring more control to gameplay.” The trailer for the game can be viewed below

As seen in the trailer, the title focuses on Christiano Ronaldo again this year with him winning the Champions League, the third time in a row with Real Madrid and Neymar Jr. making his historical $263M move to Paris Saint-Germain. The entire trailer is focused around the Champions League, of course, making it their main selling point this year.

This year, the Journey has been updated too with its final leg. Players will lead Alex Hunter to his final glory, his journey to be a champion at the UEFA Champions League. Alternatively, this will be incorporated in the FIFA 19 Ultimate Team as well, allowing users to build their dream team and then competing for Gold at the UCL. A separate UCL tournament mode will be available too where fans can pick their favourite team and guide it through the group stages to get the final glory.

Other new features include the all new Active Touch system which changes the way players receive and touch the ball. 50/50 battles included where the player’s attributes determine the probability of him winning a loose ball across the pitch. Tactical management is revamped with the new Dynamic Tactics system, allowing for players to have more control over team management and tactics.

There will be two versions available for the title, the Champions Edition and the Ultimate Edition. In the Pre Order for  Champions Edition, players will get three days early access, up to 20 Jumbo Premium Gold FUT Packs, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr FUT Loan Items for seven matches, and more. For the Ultimate Edition, the digital versions of PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and get up to 40 Jumbo Premium Gold FUT Packs and more.

The game is set to launch in November of this year with its Pre-orders open and Demo coming soon to all platforms.
