A User Whose Xbox Series X Died Contacted Microsoft To Find Out ‘It’s a Known Issue’

Hopefully, its not Red Ring Part 2

Yesterday, we talked about the growing complaints from Xbox Series X users regarding the console being dead and all sorts of bad experiences. Today, a resetera user posted, that like many others his Xbox Series X stopped working after playing Gears. The person then contacted support, and it took him a few hours going through the compulsory FAQ’s. Ultimately, he finally got a call from support, who told him that it was a known issue.

“At 12 pm I spoke to their support, they said that this was a known problem and they’re facing a lot of calls on the issue today, all with the same problems.” The user writes “When they offered me the same 14-day collection and repair I said it didn’t feel like a good solution considering the situation, he said he’d pass me to the Sales Team to find a better one.”

After being assigned to the sales team, the user was again told that its a known problem.

“The Sales Team repeated that it’s a known issue and they want to help as much as they can, multiple times he put me on hold to speak to his manager. Finally, he came back and started trying to put me back through to the help website saying that there was a dedicated page for this issue. However, I asked him to stay on the line, and every URL he gave me was just the general help page.”

Ending the second call, the user then sadly writes that he talked with the bot and was disappointingly told goodbye.

It seems that the problem is now growing rapidly. If you go through the Xbox Series X sub-reddit or the SeriesX hashtag on Twitter. You will be shocked to find that every 1/3 of posts are about some sort of a problem. Now I’m not sure if this is going to be Red Ring Part 2, but it most certainly does not look good. Moreover, I’ve also noticed that Gears and Valhalla, in particular, are mostly causing this problem.
