You can technically begin the questline as early as level 14 if you choose, but the level differences between quests are quite extreme. So for the sake of convenience, we recommend that you wait until your character is at least level 30 before you start.

When you’re ready, head on over to the region of Phokis and search for ‘The Daughters of Artemis’ quest marker. This will lead you to a woman named Daphnae, who is the leader of a group of huntresses.

Talk to her for a bit of dialogue, after which she will ask you to hunt down certain legendary animals. Here’s each one of them and you can find them in different locations around the Odyssey map:

All of the following boss fights are marked with a golden ‘?’ on the map.

The Kaldonyan Boar

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis
Sacred Lands of Apollo.

Our first Daughters of Artemis target can be found nearby, in the northwestern part of Phokis. The area is named the Sacred Lands of Apollo.

  • It’s a tough enemy known for powerful charges and slams that can stagger you.
  • Dodging is crucial, and timing allows you to attack its sides before it retreats.
  • As its health decreases, it spawns smaller boars that also attack.
  • Killing the smaller boars can be challenging as it restores health to the main boss.
  • Two main tactics: continuously kill smaller boars while dealing more damage than healed, or focus solely on the boss.
  • After defeating the Boar, return to questgiver Daphnae to reveal the other Daughters of Artemis targets.

The Hind of Keryneia

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis
Artemision Point.
  • The Hind of Keryneia is located in the northwestern section of the Abantis Islands region, specifically at Artemision Point.
  • It is a massive deer known for wide swipe attacks and a charge attack that can stagger the player.
  • Dodging is crucial, and standing still during the fight is not advised as the boss can pin you to the ground with its antlers.
  • Dodging out of the antler attack causes them to get stuck in the mud, allowing for free hits on the enemy.
  • Keep your distance when possible and use your bow for headshots to succeed in the fight.
  • Equipping Hunter gear for bonus ranged damage is recommended.
  • Overall, this is considered one of the easier Daughters of Artemis encounters.

The Nemean Lion

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis
Sinkholes of Herakles.

The Nemean Lion is located in the South of Argolis, in the area known as Sinkholes of Herakles.

  • The boss can be found in a large open pit accompanied by lionesses.
  • The lionesses are normal animals but can be annoying during the fight.
  • It’s advisable to kill them off from a distance with a bow or target them first when entering the arena.
  • The boss itself is slower but hits hard, with a moveset similar to regular lions.
  • Keep moving, attack when there’s an opening, and dodge its powerful swipe attacks.

The Kretan Bull

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis
Fertile Battleground.

Look for the Kretan Bull in southern Messara, in the area called Fertile Battleground.

  • Unlike other animals, this Bull’s charge attack deals significant damage to the player.
  • It also utilizes a slow swipe attack and occasionally performs a spinning attack.
  • During the spinning attack, it’s advisable to stay away and wait for it to calm down before engaging.
  • Avoid standing directly behind the Bull to prevent getting knocked down by its devastating kick.
  • To deal with the boss, stay to its sides and use melee attacks, utilizing abilities like “Slow Time” for extra time to land attacks.

The Lykaon Wolf

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis
Dioskouroi Peninsula.

Our next Daughters of Artemis target is found in the southeastern part of the Lakonia region. The area is called Dioskouroi Peninsula.

  • While not individually challenging, its strength lies in the pack of smaller wolves surrounding it.
  • There can be anywhere from 6 to 10 extra enemies in the pack.
  • If given time, the boss will howl and summon even more wolves.
  • The best tactic is to climb a high ledge and use a bow to take out as many smaller enemies as possible.
  • When engaging the boss, maintain pressure and prevent it from retreating.
  • It’s advisable to carry a weapon with a sweeping attack pattern to deal with multiple wolves at once if surrounded.

Kallisto The Bear

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis
Golden Fields.

Search for Kallisto the Bear in the northeastern part of Arkadia, in an area known as the Golden Fields

As far as legendary animals go, this Bear is kind of a pushover. It has no special moves and no unique behaviors. It simply runs towards you aggressively, and preforms a slash attack that can be easily dodged. If you’re fast on your feet, then this should be no real challenge.

The only real threat here is that if any attacks do land, they will deal a significant amount of damage. So we recommend that you keep your distance and attack the Bear with your bow. Switch up the ammo with Explosive arrows instead of regular to make the fight go even faster.

This is, in my opinion, the easiest Daughters of Artemis target.

The Erymanthian Boar

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis
Erymanthos Foothills.

The Erymanthian Boar is found in the region of Elis. The area is called Erymanthos Foothills.

  • Considered the toughest boss fight among the Daughters of Artemis targets.
  • Unlike the first boar, it doesn’t summon additional foes but compensates with speed and power.
  • It has an attack that creates a toxic cloud, poisoning anyone in its vicinity.
  • The boar’s jumping attack deals significant damage and closes the distance between you.
  • It also uses a sideways charge attack that can knock you down.
  • To defeat it, stay mobile, avoid toxic clouds, master dodging, and capitalize on opportunities to attack.

The Krokottas Hyena

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis
Skandeia Bay.

Near the water’s edge in the south of Kythera Island, look for the boss in an area called Skandeia Bay.

The Krokottas Hyena is fast, so you shouldn’t rely on bows or stealth. Stick to hard and fast melee attacks, and keep your best Warrior armor set equipped at all times.

This boss has a notable lunge attack that’s really fast, but it’s moveset is otherwise fairly predictable and uncomplicated. Stay moving and take your shots where you can. Nothing surprising is going to happen during this fight.

And with this, we’ve beaten the final Daughters of Artemis boss.

Daughters of Artemis Rewards

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis
Artemis Set.

Once all of the legendary animals have been killed, you must bring their hides to Daphnae in the Hunted Forests of Artemis on Chios Island. As a reward for your efforts, you will receive the Artemis Set.

  • Master’s Artemis Hood: +25% Hunter Damage and +50% Headshot Damage.
  • Master’s Artemis Outfit: +25% Hunter Damage and +20% Bow Charging Speed.
  • Master’s Artemis Gloves: +25% Hunter Damage and +50% Adrenaline on Headshot Kill.
  • Master’s Artemis Belt: +25% Hunter Damage and +30% Damage with Bows on Distant Targets.
  • Master’s Artemis Treads: +25% Hunter Damage and+20% Damage with Bow Charged Shot.

This will complete ‘The Goddesses’ Hunt’, but there’s still one step left before the end. Speak to Daphnae one last time and listen to her request. She wants you to battle her to the death, and a choice has to be made.

If the player honors her request and kills her, then they will receive the Daughter of Artemis Crew Theme. If they don’t, then Daphnae and the other NPCs in the area become hostile and no further reward is gained. To get the best possible ending, simply agree to her duel.
