Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis is the first chapter in a lengthy questline known as ‘The Goddesses’ Hunt.’ These are optional side-quests that can be completely ignored if the player wishes, but seeing them through leads to some of the best boss fights in the entire game.
Completing this will also reward you with one of the best Hunter armor sets in the game. It’s perfect for bow users, and the fact that it looks really cool is simply the cherry on top of it.
So with this Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis quest guide, we’ll show you all of the steps you have to complete for these quests.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis Guide

You can technically begin the questline as early as level 14 if you choose, but the level differences between quests is quite extreme. So for the sake of convenience, we recommend that you wait until your character is at least level 30 before you start.
The reason for this is that the questline requires the player to be leveled up significantly. They should also have quick access to the different regions of the world, so doing this later in the game simply ensures that both of these requirements are easily met.

When you’re ready, head on over to the region of Phokis and search for ‘The Daughters of Artemis’ quest marker. This will lead you to a woman named Daphnae, who is the leader of a group of huntresses.
Talk to her for a bit of dialogue, after which she will ask you to hunt down certain legendary animals. If you accept the challenge, the quest will immediately guide you towards the first creature on the list.
All of the following boss fights are marked with a golden ‘?’ on the map.
The Kaldonyan Boar

Our first Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis target can be found nearby, in the northwestern part of Phokis. The area is named the Sacred Lands of Apollo.
The Kaldonyan Boar is a tough enemy that favors extremely powerful charges and slams attacks that can stagger you. Dodging is your friend here, and proper timing will allow you to get on its side to deal some damage before it runs off. The boss is particularly challenging for new players, because the fight is not restricted to only one creature. As you shave off a quarter of the boss’ health bar, it will begin to spawn smaller boars that will also start ramming you at regular intervals.
Killing the smaller enemies is also challenging, because their deaths will restore some health to the Boss. So what happens is that you get stuck in a loop of damaging the boss, only to have it regain some of it’s health when you kill off the other foes.
There are two main tactics you can employ here. Either keep killing the mobs as they restore health to the Kaldonyan Boar, while making sure to deal more damage than is actually healed. This is obviously a lengthy process, but it will eventually work. On the other hand, you can simply ignore the smaller enemies and focus on the boss alone. This will make the fight much more difficult, but it ensures that no health recovery takes place.
Whatever method you choose to kill the Boar, at the end of the fight you will have to go back to the questgiver Daphnae one more time. At this point, the seven other Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis targets will be revealed.
The Hind of Keryneia

The second target on this list can be found in the northwestern section of the Abantis Islands region. The area is known as Artemision Point.
The Hind is a massive deer that uses wide swipe attacks and a charge attack that can stagger the player. It’s quite fast as well, so proper timing is key when dodging. Standing still while fighting is a bad idea, since the boss can also use it’s antlers to pin you to the ground. Dodging out of this attack causes the antlers to get stuck in the mud, giving you some free hits on the enemy.
To succeed in this boss fight, keep your distance when possible and use your bow for headshots. If you have some Hunter gear with you, equipping it for bonus ranged damage is also a great idea.
All in all, this is one of the easier Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis encounters.
The Nemean Lion

The Nemean Lion is located in the South of Argolis, in the area known as Sinkholes of Herakles.
When you get here, the boss can be found in a large open pit. If you use your eagle to scout the area, you can also see that it is accompanied by a few lionesses. Unlike the Lion, these are normal animals. But they can still prove to be an annoyance during the fight. It’s a good idea to either kill these off from a distance with your bow, or target them first when you jump into the arena.
While the boss itself is slow compared to previous legendary animals, it hits really hard. It’s moveset however is almost identical to regular lions, so there’s no particular technique that we can recommend. Simply keep moving, and attack when you see an opening. Dodge often, and make sure not to get hit by it’s powerful swipe attacks.
The Kretan Bull

Look for the Kretan Bull in southern Messara, in the area called Fertile Battleground.
Most of the animals in this list so far have utilized some form of charge attack, but this Bull is on another level completely. It’s charge can deal an incredible amount of damage to the player, on top of which, it utilizes a slow swipe attack that covers a lot of area.
Occasionally, it will also start thrashing around and using a spinning attack. When this happens, stay away from the Bull and allow it to calm down before charging in. The damage you’ll sustain during this sequence is not worth the few hits you might get in. Also, never stand directly behind the Bull. It can use a devastating kick that will knock you down and allow the enemy to get in a few good hits.
To deal with this boss, stay to it’s sides and use melee attacks to deal as much damage as possible before it charges off again. Maybe use an ability like ‘Slow Time’ to give yourself a few extra seconds for landing attacks.
The Lykaon Wolf

Our next Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis target is found in the southeastern part of the Lakonia region. The area is called Dioskouroi Peninsula.
The Lykaon Wolf is not a particularly challenging opponent by itself, but like the Kaldonyan Boar, it’s strength comes from other enemies. When you first locate this boss, it is surrounded by an entire pack of smaller wolves. We’re looking at anywhere from 6 to 10 extra enemies.
What’s worse is that if you give the boss time to get away and howl, it will summon even more wolves to help it. The ones already present do not have to be dead for this to happen. The best tactic here is to climb a high ledge and take out as many of the smaller enemies as possible with your bow.
And when you do go to deal with the boss, make sure to keep the pressure up at all times. Go all out with your abilities and make sure that you don’t let it retreat.
Also make sure to keep a weapon with a sweeping attack pattern with you as well, in case you do get surrounded by enemies. You’ll want the wide area of effect to deal with multiple wolves at a time.
Kallisto The Bear

Search for Kallisto the Bear in the northeastern part of Arkadia, in an area known as the Golden Fields
As far as legendary animals go, this Bear is kind of a pushover. It has no special moves and no unique behaviors. It simply runs towards you aggressively, and preforms a slash attack that can be easily dodged. If you’re fast on your feet, then this should be no real challenge.
The only real threat here is that if any attacks do land, they will deal a significant amount of damage. So we recommend that you keep your distance and attack the Bear with your bow. Switch up the ammo with Explosive arrows instead of regular to make the fight go even faster.
This is, in my opinion, the easiest Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis target.
The Erymanthian Boar

The Erymanthian Boar is found in the region of Elis. The area is called Erymanthos Foothills.
Our second Boar on this list is much more difficult than the first. In fact, I’ll go ahead and say that this is the toughest boss fight in this entire Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis list. Thankfully, the enemy cannot summon additional foes this time around, but it makes up for it in speed and pure stopping power.
This Boar hits really hard, and it even has an attack that creates a toxic cloud in it’s immediate vicinity. When this happens, getting close to the animal poisons you. This occurs frequently, forcing the player to move around a lot.
And when I mentioned that this boss is fast, I meant it. The Erymanthian Boar has a powerful jumping attack that allows it to deal a tremendous amount of damage, as well as close the gap between the two of you. It also utilizes a sideways charge attack that can knock you down hard.
To deal with this enemy, keep on the move and stay away from any toxic clouds. Learn to master dodging and get your hits in whenever possible.
The Krokottas Hyena

Near the water’s edge in the south of Kythera Island, look for the boss in an area called Skandeia Bay.
The Krokottas Hyena is fast, so you shouldn’t rely on bows or stealth. Stick to hard and fast melee attacks, and keep your best Warrior armor set equipped at all times.
This boss has a notable lunge attack that’s really fast, but it’s moveset is otherwise fairly predictable and uncomplicated. Stay moving and take your shots where you can. Nothing surprising is going to happen during this fight.
And with this, we’ve beaten the final Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis boss.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Daughters of Artemis Rewards

Once all of the legendary animals have been killed, you must bring their hides to Daphnae in the Hunted Forests of Artemis on Chios Island. As a reward for your efforts, you will receive the Artemis Set.
- Master’s Artemis Hood: +25% Hunter Damage and +50% Headshot Damage.
- Master’s Artemis Outfit: +25% Hunter Damage and +20% Bow Charging Speed.
- Master’s Artemis Gloves: +25% Hunter Damage and +50% Adrenaline on Headshot Kill.
- Master’s Artemis Belt: +25% Hunter Damage and +30% Damage with Bows on Distant Targets.
- Master’s Artemis Treads: +25% Hunter Damage and+20% Damage with Bow Charged Shot.
This will complete ‘The Goddesses’ Hunt’, but there’s still one step left before the end. Speak to Daphnae one last time and listen to her request. She wants you to battle her to the death, and a choice has to be made.
If the player honors her request and kills her, then they will receive the Daughter of Artemis Crew Theme. If they don’t, then Daphnae and the other NPCs in the area become hostile and no further reward is gained. To get the best possible ending, simply agree to her duel.
