FF7 Rebirth: How To Upgrade Weapons & Get Weapon Skills

Weapons add a very crucial aspect to your gameplay in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and there is a system for upgrading these weapons. FF7 Rebirth has added a new way to enhance your arsenal, which is why knowing how to upgrade your weapon is important. I learned it a bit after my first experience with Chapter 2, and I will tell you how to upgrade your weapons in FF7 Rebirth.

How Do You Upgrade Weapons In FF7?

I upgraded my weapons by going into the game Menu and then the “Weapon Upgrades” section to select my weapon. 

1. Chapter 2: After waking up in the village Inn of Kalm, you will be led to Maghnata Books.
2. Learning Tutorial: After explaining Customizing Skills, you will be directed to Selvacarsa Weapons.
3. Selvacarsa Weapons: A tutorial will teach how to upgrade weapons in FF7.
4. Upgrade Weapons: Menu: The easiest way to upgrade your weapon is to head to Upgrade Weapons In Menu.
5. Choice Of Weapon: Select the weapons you want to upgrade for any of your characters here.
6. Weapon Skills: After selecting the weapon, just press Triangle” to show available “Weapon Skills.”
7. Ability Enhancement: Weapon Skills provide Ability Enhancements that give you any sort of Damage, Movement, or Team Attack Boosts. 
8. Stat Boost: While you get ability enhancements, you also get Stat Boosts that increase different attacks or improve some attacks. 
9. Weapon Levelling: To get more weapon skills, you must level up your weapons via “Skill Points.”
10. Skill Points: As you level up your party and character, you will gain SP points, which can be used to level up your weapon and gain new weapon skills.

Is Upgrading Your Weapon Necessary? 

Yes, you will face many powerful bosses after a while, and it is important to face each character upgrade!

• Increased Combat Effectiveness: Upgrading weapons enhances the combat effectiveness of characters, allowing them to deal more damage, cast spells more effectively, and resist elemental damages. 
• Personalization: In my opinion upgrading your weapons gives you the personalization to tailor your character’s abilities and playstyles.
• Strategic Depth: The process of upgrading weapons lets players experiment to make informed decisions about which weapons to prioritize, which abilities to unlock, and how to allocate resources effectively.
• Progression And Growth: As I personally invested time and effort into upgrading my weapons, I saw incredible improvements in my character’s abilities and performance in battle. 
• Adaptation To Challenges: When facing tough bosses, upgraded weapons provide players with the versatility to win battles.
• Enhanced Engagement: The process of upgrading weapons helped me to feel more connected to the FF7 world and its characters.
• Character Growth And Development: Upgrading weapons helps the overall growth and development of characters, both story and skill-wise.
• .Rewarding Exploration and Progression: Upgrading weapons rewards players for their exploration and progression. 

You have now learned how to upgrade your weapons in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and how easy it is. My advice would be to manually input your weapon skills and upgrade your Party’s weapons accordingly. Characters like Cloud and Aerith require special care to enhance their weapons!
