Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered v1.817.1.0 Fixes Ray-Tracing Issues

The latest patch notes tackle ray tracing issues and acknowledge some known issues.

The newly released Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered has been the talk of this week. Many players love the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PC, and the game is indeed a great piece of work. However, the game still has many known issues, and players have been complaining about those for a while now.

The developers quickly responded to those issues and created the first small patch to address some of the problems. The patch notes state, “The teams at Insomniac Games and Nixxes Software have been closely monitoring player reports the past days, and based on that, we have released a first small patch with multiple fixes and improvements.”

The first patch for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered addresses many common issues regarding ray-tracing and game crashing. The patch note says it fixes various ray-tracing-related crashes and the problem where ray traces gets distorted when reflecting from stainless steel.

Furthermore, the patch addresses other important issues. The patch fixes the windows version check, adds various visual improvements to Nvidia DLSS, fixes the stretched side mission popup on the widescreen, improves the stability using ALT-Tab, and fixes other graphical glitches.

Another common issue in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered causes the game to freeze when switching graphics presets during cut-scenes is also addressed. The patch notes also add the known issues the developers are working towards.

The first one is where ray-tracing options do not appear even for hardware that supports it. The second issue is that some players cannot progress through the Spider-Hack mission. And the last issue in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is that some players can not take a picture of the Empire State Building.

The developers said they would address these issues soon, as they stated in the patch note, “Rest assured we are not done though. We are already working on our next patch, which will be more substantial and consist of bug fixes, improvements, and additional features, based on the feedback we have received so far.”

Players should keep giving feedback, so it helps the developers fix the issues. Let’s stay positive and hope for the best. That said, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is overpriced, and the developers should take measures soon to make it a worthwhile purchase.
