Dark Souls 3’s Lead Designer has been working on Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for the last two years, which is also the same amount of time it took to develop Dark Souls 3 in its entirety (thanks @Pirat_Nation). Judging from the timestamps, the development of the DLC started shortly after the game’s first anniversary. Here’s a look at the person’s LinkedIn profile, which eXputer dug up.

Furthermore, the Lead Designer has also worked on Dark Souls 3’s Ashes of Ariandel and The Ringed City DLC. While Dark Souls 3 had its flaws, the DLCs were good enough to make up for it and then some. The Elden Ring DLC will undoubtedly live up to the hype if that is any indication.

Judging from FromSoftware‘s spotless past record, there haven’t been any underwhelming DLCs so far, which is good news for anyone looking forward to it.
