Outriders Developer People Can Fly, Rumoured To Be Acquired By Microsoft Has Debuted On Warsaw Stock Exchange

People Can Fly Public Becomes Publicly Traded Company

Initially founded by one of the most famous Polish game developers, Adrian Chmielarz, People Can Fly has gone through a lot in the last 18 years. It went under the administration of Epic Games after Mark Rein was intrigued by the studious performance. A while later, they developed the Gears of War series and saw its leading pioneers, including Chmielarz, Kosieradzki, and Poznański, leave the company, eventually starting a new by the name of The Astronauts that worked on “The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.”

People Can Fly later returned to become an independent studio and was no longer called Epic Games Poland. It continued developing Fortnite due to some agreements, but it had also started to work on its own IP, Outriders. People Can Fly has now expanded to 250 developers and has offices outside Poland as well. The company recently announced that it was working with Square Enix to develop a AAA shooter and confirmed another AAA action-adventure game that’s rumored to be Take-Two’s project.

In a Twitter Announcement, People Can Fly confirmed that it had debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Report by Polish Investor Site – Strefa INWESTOROW detailed that People Can Fly stocks had seen a 68% increase in its rates. As indicated by the report, interest in the Polish Video Game Company was so high “that the quotations did not open for the first 70 minutes.” Other than that, it notes that the individual investors and institutions saw a positive exchange on the grounds that the underlying stock rate cost had gone 82% higher after its first week.

This news also somewhat confirms People Can Fly isn’t the studio Microsoft looks forward to acquiring. There was potential interest, and that was mainly due to the fact that Gears of War 1,2 and Judgement were developed by PCF and published by Microsoft.
